To view the cart, all items can be pulled from the database, however, it seems that removing them doesn't work. Any ideas? Need to flush something? Something gets autoreleased? I really can't figure it out. --Edit-- The error that I receive is GDB: Program received signal "EXC_BAD_ACCESS". --Edit-- I ended up just connecting in the init and closing in the free methods, which might not be the proper way, but that's another question altogether so it's effectively persistent instead of connecting multiple times. Still would be nice to know what was up with this for future reference.

• Need to link WP Blog with Rails App on Heroku

  I have a client who wants to migrate his Rails app to Heroku. However the client also has a blog associated with his domain that runs on WordPress. Currently, the WordPress blog is running happily alongside the Rails app, but once we migrate to Heroku, that clearly won't be possible. The url for the app is like http://mydomain.com, and the url for the blog is like http://mydomain/blog. I realize that the best long-term solution is to redo the blog in a Rails format like Toto or Jekyll. But in the short term, what is the best way to continue hosting the WP blog where it is (or somewhere) but use Heroku to run the app? The client doesn't want the blog to be on a subdomain, but to remain at mydomain/blog for SEO reasons and also since there is traffic to the blog. I have two ideas: Use rack_rewrite or refraction (or just a regular old 301 and Apache mod_rewrite) on the old (non-Heroku) server to redirect the main url from the old site to Heroku. In this case, I can just leave the Wordpress blog running happily where it is. I think?? Is there a reason to choose one of those options (rack_rewrite, refraction, or mod_rewrite) over the others if I do it this way? Switch the DNS info to point to the Heroku site, and then use a 301 redirect from the blog to the old site. But then I'll have to get the old (non-Heroku) site on a subdomain and use some kind of rewrite rules anyway so it looks like it isn't a subdomain. Are either of these approaches preferable, or is there another way to do it that's easier that I'm missing?

• Nginx + PHP-FPM Timeouts, almost zero load consumption?

  I've got a server running on a Linode with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, Nginx 0.7.65, MySQL 5.1.41 and PHP 5.3.2 with PHP-FPM. There is a WordPress blog on it, updated to WordPress 3.2.1 recently. I have made no changes to the server (except updating WordPress) and while it was running fine, a couple of days ago I started having downtimes. I tried to solve the problem, and checking the error_log I saw many timeouts and messages that seemed to be related to timeouts. I edited the file again to leave it as it was, and restarted again php-fpm (service php-fpm restart) but no luck: the server worked for a few minutes and back to the problem over and over. The strange thing is, although the services are running, htop shows there is no CPU load (see image) and I really don't know how to solve the problem. • .htaccess redirect to error page if port is not 80

  I'm running a portable server through usb stick. The thing is I also have WAMP installed in my local machine and Apache somehow gets started on windows startup, because of some random reason which I don't recall now and it can't be changed. I want to prepare my portable server in situations like this, so closing httpd.exe from process and starting my portable server is not an option. Anyway, because of already active httpd.exe my portable server's WordPress site can only be accessed through localhost:81 - this is a problem as WP site is very dependent on the URL and I don't want to include the url with port on WP database. Here is what I want to do through .htaccess: On any path except for error.php file check if not port 80 If not port 80 redirect to /error.php?code=port It it possible for it to have priority over WP redirection or URL handling? In the error.php I provided info on how to manually close httpd.exe and such so my family and friends can access the portable site. It's sort of like a gallery and calender application for events and other such stuff... Please help? I'm I can't figure it out at all. I know others may not have apache already running, but I want to prepare for such a situation. • should i link to a blog site or install my own blog engine?

  we're setting up a company blog. Our technology stack is .NET. Should we just use blogger/wordpress for the blog and redirect to it from our site? or should i install a blog engine directly on our site (e.g. blogEngine.NET)? some considerations i'd like feedback on are: 1.SEO - if you host your blog on wordpress/blogger instead of installing it on your site - will you get better page rankings? (if the content was the exact same) 2.scalability - i've read that dotNetBlogEngine doesnt scale well on web farms etc. our website is setup to be stateless. 3.security - presumably a hosted blog site has the advantage of having regular security updates. how easy is it to keep an installed blog engine patched? 4.examples of installed blog engines - dotNetBlogEngine seems to be the best but has a couple of limitations. can anyone suggest another one (n/a if you're advice is to host the blog on blogger/wordpress) 5.any other comments/issues/concerns we should be aware of? thanks for your feedback!

  Possible Duplicate: My server's been hacked EMERGENCY We've usually host our clients site, but we aren't hosting this one. The website itself (weddle-funeral.com) works just fine. if you load google and search for weddle funeral stayton oregon - and click that link, the site links to a scammy pill site. I went through the site and there were some php files in the wordpress plugins that got quarantined by my antivirus. I removed ALL non essential files, and uploaded fresh versions of all the plugins, but it's STILL redirecting from google. I tried logging in to the cpanel (on a virtual private server), and the cpanel flashed a red warning screen The site's security certificate is not trusted! You attempted to reach XXXXX.com, but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server has generated its own security credentials, which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identity information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site. (Keep in mind, that's for the HOSTING accounts CPanel) Is there something in the SERVER probably that's causing the redirect?   Hi, I'm new to Grails and I'm seeing the error "Groovy:unable to resolve class org.codehaus.groovy.grails.plugins.springsecurity.Secured" when I open a Grails app in SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) and build the project. However the application does run when I issue the run-app command and I can login. Also when I look in my .grails folder I can see that 'grails-acegi-0.5.2.zip' has been downloaded. When I issues the upgrade command from the grails command prompt I get a message telling me that all dependancies have been resolved. Thanks for any help.

  Hi, i know there already are other questions like this, but i could't find anything useful. And it's becoming such a painful issue.. I was trying to install ObjectAid on Eclipse 3.5.1. So, lets google, http://www.objectaid.com shows up. i added it to the repository list, then checked ObjectAid UML Explorer. It says: Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found. Software being installed: ObjectAid Class Diagram 0.9.86 (com.objectaid.uml.feature.group 0.9.86) Missing requirement: ObjectAid Class Diagram 0.9.86 (com.objectaid.uml.feature.group 0.9.86) requires 'org.eclipse.draw2d 0.0.0' I've had a look into /opt/eclipse/plugins and i've found org.eclipse.draw2d_3.5.2.v20091126-1908, but i coudnt figure out how to install it. The operating system is Ubuntu. Thanks for any help.

• Refinery CMS (Rails): Creating a plugin or plugins with multiple models and relationships

  My goal is to create a way for an admin to create two models in the Refinery admin: Campaigns and Videos I would like to have it setup so that a Campaign has many Videos and that each Video belongs to a Campaign. Both Videos and Campaigns will have a title, description, and a preview image. I'm not certain of the best way to go about this. Is it possible to setup two plugins and form a relationship between the two? Or, should I create one plugin with both models. If someone could point me in the right direction or a good example of a solution to a similar problem, I would be grateful. Thank you for looking!

So issuded in the console the command: mvn jetty:run After defining the pluginGroup in Maven's setting file I ran once again the command. Unfortunately, it failed because i was using one of the below mentioned versions of the plugin. The first has artifact id: maven-jetty-plugin and the 2nd:jetty-maven-plugin. • Java - How to find count of items in a list in another list

  Say I have two lists: List<String>products = new ArrayList<String>(); products.add("computer"); products.add("phone"); products.add("mouse"); products.add("keyboard"); List<String>cart = new ArrayList<String>(); cart.add("phone"); cart.add("monitor"); I need to find how many items in the cart list exist in the products list. For the lists above, the answer would be 1 (as phone is in products and cart). If the cart list was: List<String>cart = new ArrayList<String>(); cart.add("desk"); cart.add("chair"); The result would be 0. If cart contained computer, mouse, desk, chair, the result would be 2 (for computer and mouse). Is there something in the Apache Commons Collections or the Google Collections API? I've looked through them and see ways to get a bag count, but not from another list, although it's possible I'm missing something. Right now, the only way I can think of is to iterate over the cart items and see if products contains the individual item and keep a count. I can't use containsAll as I need the count (not a boolean), and that would fail if all items in cart didn't exist in the product list (which can happen). I'm using Java 1.6 if that matters.

  I'm doing form validation using JQuery with the validate and metadata plugins. I'm using the metadata plugin so I can specify the rules and messages inline in the html form instead of in the javascript in the page . I'm getting an error when I try to specify the location of the error message using errorPlacement. (If I specify it in the section it works fine, but not if I specify it inline.)   I'm new to the CKEditor and I'm trying to create a simple plugin. What I'm hoping to accomplish is to allow the user to highlight some text and then hover on a new item in the toolbar that drops down on mouse over a few different highlight color options for the text. For example, the user could highlight some text, hover on my new item and then select a highlight color. This will be similar to the 'BGColor' plugin except instead of opening a color palette to choose from, the user would select from a drop down of options similar to when you choose to change the font size you have a list of options such as '10', '11', '12', etc. Any help would be appreciated on how to pull this off. I was hoping to check out how 'BGColor' and 'FontSize' plugins where implemented, but I can't find these in ../ckeditor/_source/plugins. Am I looking in the right spot? Also, the link for plugins here - http://docs.cksource.com/CKEditor_3.x/Developers_Guide isn't clickable so I'm not sure if there's a place for plugin documentation that I can check out.

Although there's a page on the Maven site about this topic, there's only one example unit test, which does nothing useful. I also found this wiki page, but it hasn't been updated for more than 4 years, so I'm reluctant to invest any faith in it. I checked the book "The Definitive Guide to Maven", but it doesn't even mention the subject.   Hello all, I have a small WordPress site. I do a lot of audio work and I'm trying to post HTML5 audio clips in blog entries on WordPress. For some reason it isn't working. It might have something to do with the style I'm using on my WordPress site but I haven't been able to nail it down. I know my audio tags are valid, as they work elsewhere. It's just an inheritance matter (extend or override a profile, a configuration from an upper-level POM) so I think it should be possible with maven2.

In Chapter 9, we are building a little "plugins" app. In the book, he installs the acts_as_rateable plugin found at http://juixe.com/svn/acts_as_rateable. This plugin doesn't appear to exist in 2010 (the page for this "old" plugin seems to be working again...it was down when I tried it earlier), so I found another acts_as_rateable plugin at http://github.com/azabaj/acts_as_rateable. These plugins are different and I'm trying to get the "new" plugin working with the code/project/app from the Foudations 2 book. I was able to use the migration generator included with the "new" plugin and it worked. Now,though, I'm a bit confused. In the book, he has us create a new controller to work with the plugin (the old plugin). Here's the code for that: class RatingsController < ApplicationController def create @plugin = Plugin.find(params[:plugin_id]) rating = Rating.new(:rating => params[:rating]) @plugin.ratings << average_rating redirect_to @plugin end end Then he had us change the routing: map.resources :plugins, :has_many => :ratings map.resources :categories map.root :controller => 'plugins' Next, we modified the following to the 'show' template so that it looks like this: <div id="rate_plugin"> <h2>Rate this plugin</h2> <ul class="star-rating"> <li> <%= link_to "1", @plugin.rate_it(1), :method => :post, :title => "1 star out of 5", :class => "one-star" %> </li> <li> <%= link_to "2", plugin_ratings_path(@plugin, :rating => 2), :method => :post, :title => "2 stars out of 5", :class => "two-stars" %> </li> <li> <%= link_to "3", plugin_ratings_path(@plugin, :rating => 3), :method => :post, :title => "3 stars out of 5", :class => "three-stars" %> </li> <li> <%= link_to "4", plugin_ratings_path(@plugin, :rating => 4), :method => :post, :title => "4 stars out of 5", :class => "four-stars" %> </li> <li> <%= link_to "5", plugin_ratings_path(@plugin, :rating => 5), :method => :post, :title => "5 stars out of 5", :class => "five-stars" %> </li> </ul> </div> The problem is that we're using code for a different plugin. When I try to actually "rate" one of the plugins, I get an "unknown attribute" error. That makes sense. I'm using attribute names for the "old" plugin, but I should be using attributes names for the "new" plugin. The problem is...I've tried using a variety of different attribute names and I keep getting the same error. From the README for the "new" plugin, I think I should be using some of these but I haven't been able to get them working: Install the plugin into your vendor/plugins directory, insert 'acts_as_rateable' into your model, then restart your application. class Post < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_rateable end Now your model is extended by the plugin, you can rate it ( 1-# )or calculate the average rating. @plugin.rate_it( 4, current_user.id ) @plugin.average_rating #=> 4.0 @plugin.average_rating_round #=> 4 @plugin.average_rating_percent #=> 80 @plugin.rated_by?( current_user ) #=> rating || false Plugin.find_average_of( 4 ) #=> array of posts See acts_as_rateable.rb for further details! I'm guessing that I might have to make some "bigger" changes to get this plugin working. I'm asking this question to learn and only learn. The book gives code to get things working with the old plugin, but if one were actually building this app today it would be necessary to use this "new" plugin, so I would like to see how it could be used. • Problem installing wordpress child themes.

  Hi, I've tried to install either the Fusion or Thematic child themes for my blog. My Wordpress directory is located at myblog/wordpress while my domain is just myblog (example). Everything works fine with both basic themes or the parent Fusion or Thematic themes. When I install a child theme for either framework, I can view the preview and select 'activate.' However, after that my entire site crashes. I can't even view the wordpress admin panel. I've had to restore my database from my hosting provider just to get my blog working. All that I'm able to see is my favicon icon and a blank page. I've tried to deactivate all plugins and this doesn't help either. I really want to use the Hybrid News child template. Any thoughts on what might be happening? thanks so much!

• XBox 360 Dashboard Plugins

  Is it possible to create plug ins for the Xbox 360 dashboard? I was looking to turn the 360 into the hub for the family. So you could for example turn the xbox on, and there on the dashboard see all the families calendars merged, todo lists, grocery lists, birthdays etc. I can't see anybody talking about plugins for the dashboard around the net so I'm guessing you can't, but thought I'd check. Next option will be something like a net top running in the family room, but that means 2 devices then, one for gaming and one for the family functions
