  • Setting style of ContextMenu on subitems

    - by thedesertfox
    I have created a custom style and template for MenuItem and ContextMenu, and for my first level, that works great, but whenever I add a SubMenu item, the style of that ContextMenu reverts back to the default style. How can I make sure that item uses my custom style? I've tried using the <;Style TargetType="ContextMenu" Key="{x:Type ContextMenu}" syntax as well, and it doesn't seem to be overriding it either.

  • Binding a Viewbox to a Canvas

    - by Bjarne
    I'm trying to bind a Viewbox to Canvas that is created dynamically like so: <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <DockPanel> <Viewbox> <ContentPresenter Content="{Binding Canvas}"/> </Viewbox> </DockPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> This works fine as long as the Canvas doesn't have any children, but as soon at the Canvas has children it's not shown. What am I missing here?

  • WPF Lookless Control Events

    - by Scott
    I have the following class: public class LooklessControl : Control { public List<int> IntList { get; private set; } public int CurrentInt { get; private set; } private int _index = 0; static LooklessControl() { DefaultStyleKeyProperty.OverrideMetadata(typeof(LooklessControl), new FrameworkPropertyMetadata(typeof(LooklessControl))); } public LooklessControl() { IntList = new List<int>(); for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { IntList.Add(i); } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; } public static readonly RoutedCommand NextItemCommand = new RoutedCommand("NextItemCommand", typeof(LooklessControl)); private void ExecutedNextItemCommand(object sender, ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { NextItemHandler(); } private void CanExecuteNextItemCommand(object sender, CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { e.CanExecute = true; } public static readonly RoutedCommand PrevItemCommand = new RoutedCommand("PrevItemCommand", typeof(LooklessControl)); private void ExecutedPrevItemCommand(ExecutedRoutedEventArgs e) { PrevItemHandler(); } private void CanExecutePrevItemCommand(object sender, CanExecuteRoutedEventArgs e) { e.CanExecute = true; } public static readonly RoutedEvent NextItemEvent = EventManager.RegisterRoutedEvent("NextItemEvent", RoutingStrategy.Bubble, typeof(RoutedEventHandler), typeof(LooklessControl)); public event RoutedEventHandler NextItem { add { AddHandler(NextItemEvent, value); } remove { RemoveHandler(NextItemEvent, value); } } private void RaiseNextItemEvent() { RoutedEventArgs args = new RoutedEventArgs(LooklessControl.NextItemEvent); RaiseEvent(args); } public static readonly RoutedEvent PrevItemEvent = EventManager.RegisterRoutedEvent("PrevItemEvent", RoutingStrategy.Bubble, typeof(RoutedEventHandler), typeof(LooklessControl)); public event RoutedEventHandler PrevItem { add { AddHandler(PrevItemEvent, value); } remove { RemoveHandler(PrevItemEvent, value); } } private void RaisePrevItemEvent() { RoutedEventArgs args = new RoutedEventArgs(LooklessControl.PrevItemEvent); RaiseEvent(args); } private void NextItemHandler() { _index++; if (_index == IntList.Count) { _index = 0; } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; RaiseNextItemEvent(); } private void PrevItemHandler() { _index--; if (_index == 0) { _index = IntList.Count - 1; } CurrentInt = IntList[_index]; RaisePrevItemEvent(); } } The class has a default style, in Generic.xaml, that looks like this: <Style x:Key="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}" TargetType="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}"> <Setter Property="Height" Value="200"/> <Setter Property="Width" Value="90"/> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type local:LooklessControl}"> <Border BorderBrush="Black" BorderThickness="1" Padding="2"> <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="20"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Rectangle Grid.Row="0" Fill="LightGray"/> <Rectangle Grid.Row="1" Fill="Gainsboro"/> <Grid Grid.Row="0"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="10"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="10"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Path Grid.Column="0" x:Name="pathLeftArrow" Data="M0,0.5 L1,1 1,0Z" Width="6" Height="14" Stretch="Fill" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Fill="SlateBlue"/> <TextBlock Grid.Column="1" Name="textBlock" Text="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}, Path=CurrentInt}" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Center" FontFamily="Junction" FontSize="13"/> <Path Grid.Column="2" x:Name="pathRightArrow" Data="M0,0 L1,0.5 0,1Z" Width="6" Height="14" Stretch="Fill" HorizontalAlignment="Center" Fill="SlateBlue"/> </Grid> <ListBox Grid.Row="1" HorizontalContentAlignment="Center" VerticalContentAlignment="Center" Background="Transparent" ItemsSource="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource TemplatedParent}, Path=IntList}"/> </Grid> </Border> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> How do I make it so that when the user clicks on pathLeftArrow it fires LooklessControl.PrevItemCommand, or or they click on pathRightArrow and it fires LooklessControl.NextItemCommand, or they click on an item in the ListBox and LooklessControl is notified of the newly selected item? In other words, without adding x:Class to the top of Generic.xaml and thus creating a code-behind file for it, which I assume you wouldn't want to do, how do you handle events for elements in your xaml that don't have a Command property (which is just about everything other than a Button)? Should LooklessControl have it's own XAML file (much like what you get when you create a new UserControl) associated with it that Generic.xaml just pulls in as a MergedDictionar as its default template? Or is there some other acknowledged way to do what I'm trying to do?

  • XAML Binding to complex value objects

    - by Gus
    I have a complex value object class that has 1) a number or read-only properties; 2) a private constructor; and 3) a number of static singleton instance properties [so the properties of a ComplexValueObject never change and an individual value is instantiated once in the application's lifecycle]. public class ComplexValueClass { /* A number of read only properties */ private readonly string _propertyOne; public string PropertyOne { get { return _propertyOne; } } private readonly string _propertyTwo; public string PropertyTwo { get { return _propertyTwo; } } /* a private constructor */ private ComplexValueClass(string propertyOne, string propertyTwo) { _propertyOne = propertyOne; _propertyTwo = PropertyTwo; } /* a number of singleton instances */ private static ComplexValueClass _complexValueObjectOne; public static ComplexValueClass ComplexValueObjectOne { get { if (_complexValueObjectOne == null) { _complexValueObjectOne = new ComplexValueClass("string one", "string two"); } return _complexValueObjectOne; } } private static ComplexValueClass _complexValueObjectTwo; public static ComplexValueClass ComplexValueObjectTwo { get { if (_complexValueObjectTwo == null) { _complexValueObjectTwo = new ComplexValueClass("string three", "string four"); } return _complexValueObjectTwo; } } } I have a data context class that looks something like this: public class DataContextClass : INotifyPropertyChanged { private ComplexValueClass _complexValueClass; public ComplexValueClass ComplexValueObject { get { return _complexValueClass; } set { _complexValueClass = value; PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs("ComplexValueObject")); } } } I would like to write a XAML binding statement to a property on my complex value object that updates the UI whenever the entire complex value object changes. What is the best and/or most concise way of doing this? I have something like: <Object Value="{Binding ComplexValueObject.PropertyOne}" /> but the UI does not update when ComplexValueObject as a whole changes.

  • Redmon's Run As User not loading user's enviroment variables

    - by catfish
    I'm attempting to use Redmon http://www.winimage.com/misc/redmon/ to send print jobs to a custom C# application. Redmon "runs" (actually the Print Spooler) as SYSTEM but has an option to Run As User to allow your application to run under the user that printed the job. The problem is that it doesn't appear to load the user's environment. So calling functions like Path.GetTempPath() points to \windows\temp instead of the user's. Also when attempting to run Outlook 2007+ via MAPI calls (to add attachments) it reports form errors due to, I think, the temp folder location. Is there a way to "reload" a profile or atleast get your environment vars within the Impersonated application? The only ideas I've had so far is to rebuild the vars directly from the registry, but I want to avoid this since it's a hack around (avoiding implementation details and all that). Or making a stub program that Redmon calls which then properly Run As User with full profile the custom application. Any other items or tricks?

  • Binding to Element's Visibility value

    - by plotnick
    I have a checkable DropDownButton and a Grid. I want to bind Button's IsChecked parameter with grid's Visibility value. If (Visibility == Visible) IsCheked = true I've tried to do like that: IsChecked="{Binding ElementName=UsersDockWindow, Path=IsVisible}" but it didn't work, cause IsVisible is readOnly property.

  • Is there a way to edit a control's template based on the default template?

    - by Adam S
    I'm trying to make just a few minor tweaks to the default template of a checkbox. Now I understand how to make a new template from scratch, but this I do not know. I did manage to (I think?) extract the default template via the method here. And it spat out: <ControlTemplate TargetType="CheckBox" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:s="clr-namespace:System;assembly=mscorlib" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:mwt="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Windows.Themes;assembly=PresentationFramework.Luna"> <BulletDecorator Background="#00FFFFFF" SnapsToDevicePixels="True"> <BulletDecorator.Bullet> <mwt:BulletChrome Background="{TemplateBinding Panel.Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding Border.BorderBrush}" BorderThickness="{TemplateBinding Border.BorderThickness}" RenderMouseOver="{TemplateBinding UIElement.IsMouseOver}" RenderPressed="{TemplateBinding ButtonBase.IsPressed}" IsChecked="{TemplateBinding ToggleButton.IsChecked}" /> </BulletDecorator.Bullet> <ContentPresenter RecognizesAccessKey="True" Content="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.Content}" ContentTemplate="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentTemplate}" ContentStringFormat="{TemplateBinding ContentControl.ContentStringFormat}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Control.Padding}" HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.HorizontalContentAlignment}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding Control.VerticalContentAlignment}" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding UIElement.SnapsToDevicePixels}" /> </BulletDecorator> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="ContentControl.HasContent"> <Setter Property="FrameworkElement.FocusVisualStyle"> <Setter.Value> <Style TargetType="IFrameworkInputElement"> <Style.Resources> <ResourceDictionary /> </Style.Resources> <Setter Property="Control.Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate> <Rectangle Stroke="#FF000000" StrokeThickness="1" StrokeDashArray="1 2" Margin="14,0,0,0" SnapsToDevicePixels="True" /> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Setter Property="Control.Padding"> <Setter.Value> <Thickness>2,0,0,0</Thickness> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Trigger.Value> <s:Boolean>True</s:Boolean> </Trigger.Value> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="UIElement.IsEnabled"> <Setter Property="TextElement.Foreground"> <Setter.Value> <DynamicResource ResourceKey="{x:Static SystemColors.GrayTextBrushKey}" /> </Setter.Value> </Setter> <Trigger.Value> <s:Boolean>False</s:Boolean> </Trigger.Value> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> Okay, sure, looks just fine I guess. I don't have enough experience to know if that looks like it's right or not. Now, I get two errors: Assembly 'PresentationFramework.Luna' was not found. Verify that you are not missing an assembly reference. Also, verify that your project and all referenced assemblies have been built. and The type 'mwt:BulletChrome' was not found. Verify that you are not missing an assembly reference and that all referenced assemblies have been built. Now I'm wondering, how can I resolve these errors so that I can actually start working on the template? Is there a better way of going about this? My boss wants a three-state checkbox with a red square instead of green, and he won't take no for an answer.

  • How to invalidate layout of listbox from custom children

    - by Stephen Price
    I have a custom panel for a listbox <ItemsPanelTemplate x:Key="FloatPanelTemplate"> <Controls:FloatPanel x:Name="CardPanel" /> </ItemsPanelTemplate> The panel lays out its children using its X and Y dependency properties. This all works nicely when the FloatPanel is used by itself - I'm using FrameworkPropertyMetadataOptions.AffectsArrange | FrameworkPropertyMetadataOptions.AffectsMeasure on the dependency properties of the child items to tell the FloatPanel to redraw its layout. When I use it in a Listbox (code above) then it draws fine the first time, but when I drag the children (which modifies the item's X and Y) it is not notifying the Listbox that it needs to redraw the FloatPanel's children. I think the issue is related to the fact that each item in the bound collection is wrapped with a ListBoxItem. Hopefully I've described what i'm doing well enough that someone can tell me how to make the panel (or its children) tell it needs to do the Layout routines again. As I said it works once (initial draw) but then dragging items doesn't work (Listbox isnt aware that its children have changed and needs to relayout.) If I drag an item and then resize the window, the listbox does a layout and the items are drawn in their new locations. How do I notify the ListBox (or more importantly the FloatPanel in the ItemsPanelTemplate) that it needs to do a Layout pass?

  • SolidColorBrush thickness property

    - by developer
    Hi All, Is it possible to set thickness property of SolidColorBrush. The reason I am asking is that I have a IValueConverter binding to Textbox Border BorderBrush property and I am dynamically setting the color of the textbox using the below code, SolidColorBrush tbbrush = new SolidColorBrush(Colors.DarkGray); return tbbrush; I also want to change the thickness property of the border, but without writing a new IValueConverter. Is it possible?

  • Scaled ellipse over button, button not clickable

    - by user336720
    Hi, I'm scaling an ellipse in an animation with the following code: ScaleTransform myScTransform = new ScaleTransform(); TransformGroup myTransGroup = new TransformGroup(); myTransGroup.Children.Add(myScTransform); newPHRadio.RenderTransform = myTransGroup; newPHRadio.RenderTransformOrigin = new Point(0.5, 0.5); Storyboard story = new Storyboard(); DoubleAnimation xAnimation = new DoubleAnimation(1, ph.Bereik, new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(2))); DoubleAnimation yAnimation = new DoubleAnimation(1, ph.Bereik, new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(2))); DoubleAnimation doorzichtig = new DoubleAnimation(1, 0, new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(2))); Storyboard.SetTarget(xAnimation, newPHRadio); Storyboard.SetTarget(yAnimation, newPHRadio); Storyboard.SetTarget(doorzichtig, newPHRadio); DependencyProperty[] propertyChainX = new DependencyProperty[] { Ellipse.RenderTransformProperty, TransformGroup.ChildrenProperty, ScaleTransform.ScaleXProperty }; DependencyProperty[] propertyChainY = new DependencyProperty[] { Ellipse.RenderTransformProperty, TransformGroup.ChildrenProperty, ScaleTransform.ScaleYProperty }; string thePath = "(0).(1)[0].(2)"; Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(xAnimation, new PropertyPath(thePath, propertyChainX)); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(yAnimation, new PropertyPath(thePath, propertyChainY)); Storyboard.SetTargetProperty(doorzichtig, new PropertyPath(Ellipse.OpacityProperty)); story.Children.Add(xAnimation); story.Children.Add(yAnimation); story.Children.Add(doorzichtig); story.Duration = new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(60 / ph.Frequentie)); story.RepeatBehavior = RepeatBehavior.Forever; story.Begin(); The ellipse is constructed with the following code: Ellipse newPHRadio = new Ellipse(); newPHRadio.Width = 1; newPHRadio.Height = 1; newPHRadio.SetValue(Canvas.LeftProperty, ph.xPositie + 7); newPHRadio.SetValue(Canvas.TopProperty, ph.yPositie + 7); newPHRadio.SetValue(Canvas.ZIndexProperty, 3); newPHRadio.Stroke = new SolidColorBrush(Colors.Black); newPHRadio.StrokeThickness = 0.03; Now the ellipse is scaled over an button which has a z-index of 1. With a static ellipse and no fill, the button is clickable. Now there is no fill as well but the button is not clickable. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

  • How to set property only on second column of a ListView?

    - by Lernkurve
    Introduction I have a ListView and want to format only the second column. The following XAML code does that: <ListView x:Name="listview"> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Property" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Key}" Width="100"/> <!-- <GridViewColumn Header="Value" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Value}" Width="250">--> <GridViewColumn Header="Value" Width="250"> <GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Value}" Foreground="CornflowerBlue" AutomationProperties.Name={Binding Path="Key"}/> </DataTemplate> </GridViewColumn.CellTemplate> </GridViewColumn> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> The one problem I have is that the AutomationProperties.Name property is not being set. I was checking it with the Coded UI Test Builder and the property is empty. The Text and the Foreground property are being set correctly. Question Does anyone know why AutomationProperties.Name is not being set? Additional information Strangly enough, the following XAML code does set the AutomationProperties.Name <ListView x:Name="listview"> <ListView.Resources> <Style TargetType="TextBlock"> <Setter Property="AutomationProperties.Name" Value="{Binding Key}"/> </Style> </ListView.Resources> <ListView.View> <GridView> <GridViewColumn Header="Property" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Key}" Width="100"/> <GridViewColumn Header="Value" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path=Value}" Width="250"/> </GridView> </ListView.View> </ListView> The problem here though is that AutomationProperties.Name is being set on all the columns. But I only want it on the second one because otherwise my Coded UI Test code returns the wrong value (that of the first column, instead of that of the second column which I want).

  • Dependency Property Set Priority: CodeBehind vs. XAML

    - by LukePet
    When I initialize a control property from code, the binding to the same property defined on XAML don't work. Why? For Example, I set control properties on startup with this statements: myControl.SetValue(UIElement.VisibilityProperty, DefaultProp.Visibility); myControl.SetValue(UIElement.IsEnabledProperty, DefaultProp.IsEnabled); and on xaml I bind the property of myControl in this way: IsEnabled="{Binding Path=IsKeyControlEnabled}" now, when the property "IsKeyControlEnabled" changes to false, myControl remains enabled (because it's initialize with true value). How can I do?

  • ContentPresenter changing Foreground unexpectedly depending on where styles are located

    - by VLTII
    Hi, I'm having an issue with the ContentPresenter behaving unexpectedly based on whether the styles are located in the Window.Resources or in a ResourceDictionary. Specifically, I'm setting the Foreground of the default TextBlock to Black, then setting the Foreground value in my default button style to White. If the styles exits on the page like this, they work fine: <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:Microsoft_Windows_Themes="clr-namespace:Microsoft.Windows.Themes;assembly=PresentationFramework.Aero" x:Class="TestBed.MainWindow" x:Name="Window" Title="MainWindow" Width="640" Height="480"> <Window.Resources> <Style TargetType="{x:Type TextBlock}"> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="Black" /> </Style> <Style x:Key="ButtonFocusVisual"> <Setter Property="Control.Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate> <Rectangle Stroke="Black" StrokeDashArray="1 2" StrokeThickness="1" Margin="2" SnapsToDevicePixels="true"/> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> <LinearGradientBrush x:Key="ButtonNormalBackground" EndPoint="0,1" StartPoint="0,0"> <GradientStop Color="#F3F3F3" Offset="0"/> <GradientStop Color="#EBEBEB" Offset="0.5"/> <GradientStop Color="#DDDDDD" Offset="0.5"/> <GradientStop Color="#CDCDCD" Offset="1"/> </LinearGradientBrush> <SolidColorBrush x:Key="ButtonNormalBorder" Color="#FF707070"/> <Style TargetType="{x:Type Button}"> <Setter Property="FocusVisualStyle" Value="{StaticResource ButtonFocusVisual}"/> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{StaticResource ButtonNormalBackground}"/> <Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="{StaticResource ButtonNormalBorder}"/> <Setter Property="BorderThickness" Value="1"/> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="White"/> <Setter Property="HorizontalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="VerticalContentAlignment" Value="Center"/> <Setter Property="Padding" Value="1"/> <Setter Property="Template"> <Setter.Value> <ControlTemplate TargetType="{x:Type Button}"> <Microsoft_Windows_Themes:ButtonChrome x:Name="Chrome" SnapsToDevicePixels="true" Background="{TemplateBinding Background}" BorderBrush="{TemplateBinding BorderBrush}" RenderDefaulted="{TemplateBinding IsDefaulted}" RenderMouseOver="{TemplateBinding IsMouseOver}" RenderPressed="{TemplateBinding IsPressed}"> <ContentPresenter HorizontalAlignment="{TemplateBinding HorizontalContentAlignment}" Margin="{TemplateBinding Padding}" VerticalAlignment="{TemplateBinding VerticalContentAlignment}" SnapsToDevicePixels="{TemplateBinding SnapsToDevicePixels}" RecognizesAccessKey="True"/> </Microsoft_Windows_Themes:ButtonChrome> <ControlTemplate.Triggers> <Trigger Property="IsKeyboardFocused" Value="true"> <Setter Property="RenderDefaulted" TargetName="Chrome" Value="true"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="ToggleButton.IsChecked" Value="true"> <Setter Property="RenderPressed" TargetName="Chrome" Value="true"/> </Trigger> <Trigger Property="IsEnabled" Value="false"> <Setter Property="Foreground" Value="#ADADAD"/> </Trigger> </ControlTemplate.Triggers> </ControlTemplate> </Setter.Value> </Setter> </Style> </Window.Resources> <StackPanel x:Name="LayoutRoot"> <Button Content="Button" /> </StackPanel> </Window> But if I move those same styles over to a ResourceDictionary, the Foreground of the button switches to black.   • User can't login after creating them with the asp.net Create User Wizard

    - by Xaisoft
    When I create a user, they can't login until I go into the asp.net configuration and save them. I actually don't change any settings, I just press the save button and then they can login in. What I would like to do is to have the user be able to login once they are created, but I can't seem to get it to work. Here is my code for the CreatedUser method: protected void CreateUserWizard1_CreatedUser(object sender, EventArgs e) { CustomerProfile adminProfile = CustomerProfile.GetProfile(); string username = ((TextBox)CreateUserWizard1.CreateUserStep.ContentTemplateContainer.FindControl("UserName")).Text.Trim(); CustomerProfile createdUser = CustomerProfile.GetProfile(username); createdUser.CustomerID = adminProfile.CustomerID; createdUser.Save(); MembershipUser user = Membership.GetUser(username); user.IsApproved = ((CheckBox)CreateUserWizard1.CreateUserStep.ContentTemplateContainer.FindControl("chkActivateUser")).Checked; Roles.AddUserToRole(user.UserName, "nonadmin"); }

I need to have items in ListBox just next to each other. I have tried changing ItemTemplate of the ListBox but it did not help.

  • Item rendered via a DataTemplate with any Background Brush renders selection coloring behind item.

    - by Mike L
    I have a ListBox which uses a DataTemplate to render databound items. The XAML for the datatemplate is as follows: <DataTemplate x:Key="NameResultTemplate"> <WrapPanel x:Name="PersonResultWrapper" Margin="0" Orientation="Vertical" Background="{Binding Converter={StaticResource NameResultToColor}, Mode=OneWay}" > <i:Interaction.Triggers> <i:EventTrigger EventName="MouseDown"> <cmd:EventToCommand x:Name="SelectPersonEventCommand" Command="{Binding Search.SelectedPersonCommand, Mode=OneWay, Source={StaticResource Locator}}" CommandParameter="{Binding Mode=OneWay}" /> </i:EventTrigger> </i:Interaction.Triggers> <TextBlock x:Name="txtPersonName" TextWrapping="Wrap" Margin="0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Text="{Binding PersonName}" FontSize="24" Foreground="Black" /> <TextBlock x:Name="txtAgencyName" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding AgencyName}" HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Margin="0" FontStyle="Italic" Foreground="Black" /> <TextBlock x:Name="txtPIDORI" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding PIDORI}" HorizontalAlignment="Left" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Margin="0" FontStyle="Italic" Foreground="Black" /> <TextBlock x:Name="txtDescriptors" TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="{Binding DisplayDescriptors}" Margin="0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Foreground="Black"/> <Separator Margin="0" Width="400" /> </WrapPanel> </DataTemplate> Note that there is a value converter called NameResultToColor which changes the background brush of the rendered WrapPanel to gradient brush depending on certain scenarios. All of this works as I'd expect, except when you click on any of the rendered ListBox items. When you click one, there is only the slightest sign of the selection coloring (the default bluish color). I can see a trace bit of it underneath my gradient-brushed item. If I reset the background brush to "no brush" then the selection rendering works properly. If I set the background brush to a solid color, it also fails to render as I'd expect. How can I get the selection coloring to be on top? What is trumping the selection rendering?

  • Do I need to auto-login after account activation?

    - by Art
    This is the standard scenario: User registers on the site User receives an account activation email, clicks link to activate Web site notifies the user that account is activated Now there are at least two pathways: User is taken to the login screen and asked to enter login details User is automatically logged in and taken to a welcome/profile/etc page While there are obvious benefits in (1) as far as the user's experience is concerned, there could be drawbacks as well. That is for example, when the Intake form button is pushed, it will have its own set of tabs (its own tabcontrols) am i supposed to place multiple tab controls on the artboard, or is there a way to programatically change the names of the tabs, and there contents, when a button is pushed on the left ? thank you in advance. and here is a link hxxp://img709.imageshack.us/img709/554/tabcontrol.gif here is the code so far <Window xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:d="http://schemas.microsoft.com/expression/blend/2008" xmlns:mc="http://schemas.openxmlformats.org/markup-compatibility/2006" x:Class="service.MainWindow" x:Name="Window" Title="MainWindow" Width="687" Height="480" mc:Ignorable="d"> <Window.Resources> <Storyboard x:Key="OnLoaded1"/> </Window.Resources> <Window.Triggers> <EventTrigger RoutedEvent="FrameworkElement.Loaded"> <BeginStoryboard Storyboard="{StaticResource OnLoaded1}"/> </EventTrigger> </Window.Triggers> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Margin="0,0,-16,1"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="0*"/> <ColumnDefinition/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <DockPanel Margin="8,8,0,7" LastChildFill="False" Grid.Column="1" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="660"> <Menu VerticalAlignment="Top" Width="657" Height="32"> <MenuItem x:Name="file" Header="File"/> <MenuItem x:Name="edit" Header="Edit"> <MenuItem Width="100" Height="100" Header="MenuItem"/> </MenuItem> <MenuItem x:Name="view" Header="View"/> <MenuItem x:Name="preferences" Header="Preferences"/> <MenuItem x:Name="help" Header="Help"/> </Menu> </DockPanel> <TabControl x:Name="tabwin" Margin="137.224,46,19,7" Grid.Column="1"> <TabItem x:Name="intakeformsub" Header="Elegibility Form"> <Grid HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="490"/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.567*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.433*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> </Grid> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.735*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="0.265*"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> </Grid> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid/> </TabItem> <TabItem Header="TabItem"> <Grid/> </TabItem> </TabControl> <Grid x:Name="___buttontab" Margin="11.205,61,0,0" Grid.Column="1" HorizontalAlignment="Left" Width="122.019" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="276"> <Button VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="36" Content="Button"/> <Button Margin="0,40,0,0" Content="Oasis Assessments" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="36"/> <Button Margin="0,80,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="36" Content="Plan of Care"/> <Button Margin="0,120,0,0" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="36" Content="Medication Profile" RenderTransformOrigin="0.421,5.556"/> <Button Margin="0,0,0,80" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Height="36" Content="Clinical Notes"/> <Button Margin="0,0,0,40" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Height="36" Content="Infection Control"/> <Button x:Name="intakeformbtn" VerticalAlignment="Top" Height="36" Content="Intake Form" Click="intakeform"> <Button.BindingGroup> <BindingGroup/> </Button.BindingGroup> </Button> <Button VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Height="36" Content="Discharge Summary"/> </Grid> <ProgressBar HorizontalAlignment="Left" Margin="8,0,0,7" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Width="104.795" Height="19" Grid.Column="1"/> </Grid> </Window>

  • difference between ObservableCollection and BindingList

    - by Azhar
    I want to know the difference between ObservableCollection and BindingList because I've used both to notify for any add/delete change in Source, but I actually do not know when to prefer one over the other. Why would I choose one of the following over the other? ObservableCollection<Employee> lstEmp = new ObservableCollection<Employee>(); or BindingList<Employee> lstEmp = new BindingList<Employee>();

  • Shorter Binding expression with validation

    - by Andrii V
    Hi, I'm repeating same binding parameters for every textbox and they're quite long strings (which is not good for many reasons). And I'm wondering if there's a way to make them shorter? For instance all my controls on forms are using the following binding template: Text="{Binding SourceProperty, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, ValidatesOnExceptions=True, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True, NotifyOnValidationError=True}" I'd would like to have something shorter that ideally will take SourceProperty as parameter. Possbly like this: Text="{MyBinding SourceProperty}" or Text="{Binding SourceProperty, Params=MyParams}" One possible option would be to inherit from Binding and create new markup extension. Did someone tried this? Any other ideas how to make these repetetive bindings look better?
