• Creating a iso file from a set of img files

  So i have started building android from scratch and after lot of effort finally landed up to a point where i have the OUT folder consisting of all the required IMG files for an emulator to run. Like the system.img ramdisk.img userdata-qemu.img So after that i ran the emulator command so that means the OUT directory was valid and could easily be used to create any other bootable medium. What i want to accomplish Creating the iso file from all those img files found at the end of building process,or a way to just create an iso out of that complete OUT folder. any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I'm trying to unpack a Weblogic 10.3 domain on one of our production servers (SunOS 5.10), but get the following error: $ /opt/bea10/wlserver_10.3/common/bin/unpack.sh -template=/tmp/CM.jar -domain=/opt/bea10/user_projects/CM Error: failed to create the temporary script file Assuming that this is a priviledge problem: where actually the unpack utility tries to create its temporary script files? The unpack script calls a Java class com.bea.plateng.domain.script.Unpacker, so reading the script itself does not reveal the location. I need to ask the sysadmin for the priviledges, so an exact directory location is needed. Of course, the error message is so vague that this might also be some other issue. Any ideas? BR, Marko P.S. Sorry for cross-posting. I tried this question also on Serverfault but got no replies. Perhaps programmers (like myself) do this kind of stuff anyway.

  Hello I have a Rewrite rule I am trying to implement on my local host but I cannot get it to do the action no matter how I setup the regex the files are in this naming scheme /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.css and I have them printed in the code like /docroot/css/stylesheet.min.123438348.css (the number is example it comes from a get modified function). Note docroot is an example directory how can I have the server ignore the numbers and redirect to the stylesheet.min.css I need to do this for every css and js files (/js and /css) as well as one specific spritemap image my current attempt RewriteRule ^/(docroot)/(js|css)/(.+)\.(min)\.(.+)\.(js|css)$ /$1/$2/$3.$4.$6 RewriteRule ^(/docroot/images/spritemap)\.([0-9]+)\.(png)$ $1.$3 I have this wrapped in a I am on linux..should this be mod_rewrite.so?"

They now want the ability to upload attachments to pages and i wanted to figure out a few things: I have upload code that will upload files (pdfs, images, etc) but i wanted to see where i should be storing them. should i store them outside the website directory structure ? Is there any file types that i should be concerned with storing. I would basically have a file picker on the front end.

• git merge different repositories?

  I've been using SVN for all my projects. Sometimes project B is originating as a copy from project A. When project A has a generic change, I can use svn merge A within directory B and it will merge those changes. Now, if I wanted to use git. I don't like having all my projects in the same repository since I then have to clone everything and can't pick just one project like in SVN. But having one repository for each project, how do I go about doing the same like I did earlier with SVN? The question is: What's the best way to structure it if I want several subprojects that really all relates to one original project and to keep them in sync? And that I also want to be able to check them out separately

• PHP Get images from a UL list

  I have a long UL list and each LI contains an image tag, dynamically generated from SLideshowPro Director. I need to get the widths of ALL the images inside the UL to use in a CSS width calculation. I have been able to get the image width for the first item, but not all. My PHP is pretty limited, but do I have to make this list into an ARRAY first to allow me to get all the widths? And how do i do that?? These images contain very long id's generated by the CMS, so reading through a directory is not possible, as the images in cache bare not relation to the file names that are output to the HTML page. It has to all be done from the content that's sent to the page. Or could I even use JQuery to do this??

• How does compiling circular dependencies work?

  I've made the example in Java but I think (not tested) that it works in other (all?) languages. You have 2 files. First, M.java: public class MType { XType x; MType() {x = null;} } Second, another file (in the same directory), XType.java: public class XType { MType m; public XType(MType m) {this.m = m;} } Ok it's bad programming, but if you run javac XType it compiles: compiles even MType because XType needs it. But ... MType needs XType ... how does that work? How does the compiler know what is happening? Probably this is a stupid question, but I would like to know how the compiler (javac or any other compilers you know) manages that situation, not how to avoid it. I'm asking because i'm writing a precompiler and I would like to manage that situation.

  A fully functional Django project as well as a couple in development have all broken following the rebooting of the server. In addition to some pieces of the Django admin returning errors as well as missing .js and .css files, I'm getting errors like this when viewing pages that include images uploaded through the admin.   I am developing a Python module with several source files, each with its own test class derived from unittest right in the source. Consider the directory structure: dirFoo\ test.py dirBar\ __init__.py Foo.py Bar.py To test either Foo.py or Bar.py, I would add this at the end of the Foo.py and Bar.py source files: if __name__ == "__main__": unittest.main() And run Python on either source, i.e. $ python Foo.py ........... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ran 11 tests in 2.314s OK Ideally, I would have "test.py" automagically search dirBar for any unittest derived classes and make one call to "unittest.main()". What's the best way to do this in practice? I tried using Python to call execfile for every *.py file in dirBar, which runs once for the first .py file found & exits the calling test.py, plus then I have to duplicate my code by adding unittest.main() in every source file--which violates DRY principles.

• Unable to link to opengl libraries? DOS / MSVC

  Is there something wrong with this link.exe command line? OpenGL32.lib and Glu32.lib are found at both of the LIBPATH directories. Is it possible the libraries are somehow incompatible? Is there a way to have the link.exe say that instead of unresolved external symbol? Googling shows that this error usually means the libraries are not found, but they are there.   For my own reasons and not for the app store I am referencing the Apple private framework Apple80211 in an iPhone app. I got the framework from an earlier version of the iPhone SDK. I added the "existing framework", verified that that absolute path to the framework is /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS4.0.sdk/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework and tried to build the app. But the build (to device) fails with the error dyld: Library not loaded: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Apple80211 Referenced from: /var/mobile/Applications/3691587D-87AF-44EA-A505-F73D17F39B3B/iWire2.app/iWire2 Reason: image not found I cannot figure out why Xcode would look for the library in a /System path (instead of using the path given in the frameworks list) or how to change that behaviour. I tried the tricks I found here and elsewhere for similar (and identical) sitiations: Delete the myusername.* files in the xcodeproj bundle Delete the build directory Clean all targets Start new project Result is always the same. How can I add this (or a) framework to an iPhone project AND get Xcode to at least look at the library located where I point to rather than a location in /System?

  I'm trying to implement soci in my program but I don't know how. I'm using C++ on linux, on a project on netbeans. I have followed the steps in http://soci.sourceforge.net/doc/structure.html to install it, and I tried to copy the files soci.h from /src/core and soci-mysql.h from /src/backends/mysql in my proyect but it gives compilation error (these files include other soci files, but it's illogical to copy all files into the directory...). I have read the guide several time but I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, the examples only include these files. Thanks. Edit: I have given more information in a comment below the answer. I don't know what steps I have to do to implement soci.

The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters." This error occurs when my URL length = 225 chars. Surly I can have much longer URL's without this problem and doesn’t this relate to file paths rather than URL's ? • How can I allow only privledged users to download a pdf with php?

  Lets say I have some pdf files stored on my server and I only want to allow a person who's paid have access to download a particular pdf. So for an example, let's say I have a bunch of e-books. The only way a user would be able to download e-book A is if his account contains the right credentials for that particular book. What's the best way to accomplish this? Any ideas/advice on how to improve my idea are greatly appreciated! My current idea: A user places an order Upon success, a new folder would be created by their /account_num/order_id/ A copy of the particular file would be stored in this directory Have php generate an .htaccess that would only allow access from a url that contains a random hash embedded into it. The only way a user would be able to access this random hashed page is if they are signed in as the right user, and the hash matches up with the hash stored in the database, otherwise they are redirected to home page.

• How do I get the current Application Name (in terms of IIS) in a classic asp Web application

  I have a classic asp application which retrieves the current application name and sets an Application variable containing that name. This name is important (I wont go into why) and is essentially the friendly name in IIS. The problem is, the implementation used to get this name is flawed, it a) assumes the home directory contains the string wwwroot, and b) assumes the folder name is the same as the application name. I can no longer guarantee these conditions. I would have thought the application name is know at run-time but I can't seem to find it in either Session or Application variables (at application start up entry point in global.asa). Any ideas?

  Consider the following silly Perl program: $firstarg = $ARGV[0]; print $firstarg; $input = <>; print $input; I run it from a terminal like: perl myprog.pl sample_argument And get this error: Can't open sample_argument: No such file or directory at myprog.pl line 5. Any ideas why this is? When it gets to the < is it trying to read from the (non-existent) file, "sample_argument" or something? And why?

Programs such as wget or curl will non-interactively retrieve a set of URLs, but do not execute javascript or any of that 'fancy stuff'. • Python preprocessing imports

  I am managing a quite large python code base (2000 lines) that I want anyway to be available as a single runnable python script. So I am searching for a method or a tool to merge a development folder, made of different python files into a single running script. The thing/method I am searching for should take code split into different files, maybe with a starting __init___.py file that contains the imports and merge it into a single, big script. Much like a preprocessor. Best if a near-native way, better if I can anyway run from the dev folder. I have already checked out pypp and pypreprocessor but they don't seem to take the point. Something like a strange use of __import__() or maybe a bunch of from foo import * replaced by the preprocessor with the code? Obviously I only want to merge my directory and not common libraries.

  Hi, I am trying to get my head around the way shared libraries work in the c++ unix environment. I understand we only need header files and no shared libraries specification when compiling code. But if I want to create an executable or shared library from my compiled files, do I need to specify shared library dependencies (those are dynamic)? And do the paths of shared libraries need to match the path at runtime loading? I am using Linux 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux I am having a problem where my code is not able to pick up a library at runtime. I have tried setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH. But at runtime when I run the executable, I get the following error: Error: librc.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Sam

• Handling static files with Django / lighttpd

  I know that there is already a question (actually some more) about this, but the answers to them didn't help me out very much, as I am pretty new to lighttpd. I have one folder which contains .pdf-files. When doing a HttpResponseRedirect to the locations of one of those .pdf-files, the user should be able to download the .pdf file (or view it in the browser). Right now, Django just redirects to my "home" html page, without showing any pdf-file. Somehow, I will have to tell lighttpd that Django shouldn't handle this directory anymore. Is this the only thing I need to do? If yes, how should i do it?
