  • Get preferences in AppWidget Provider

    Hi all, I seem to be having trouble reading preferences from my AppWidgetProvider class. My code works in an Activity, but it does not in an AppWidgetProvider. Here is the code I am using to read back a boolean: SharedPreferences settings = getSharedPreferences(PREFS_NAME, 0); boolean autoreplyon = settings.getBoolean("autoreplyon", false); However, I get the "The method getSharedPreferences(String, int) is undefined for the type widget" error (widget is the name of my AppWidgetProvider class).   • Is there a limit on number of OLE objects that can be embedded in an excel sheet?

    I am adding OLE objects to an excel sheet through .net interop. However, after some calls, excel is not allowing adding more objects through code. Is there a limit? or am I doing something wrong. Dim Htmlshape As Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Shape Htmlshape = xlWorkSheet.Shapes.AddOLEObject(, tmpFile, , True, strExplorerPath, 1, "") Running this code gives an error after say 1000 calls. So, am I crossing some limit here?

    I have a python Interpreter written in C++, the PyRun_String function from the Python API is said to return a handle, however in my code I have it assigned to pointer to a PyObject? PyObject* presult = PyRun_String(code, parse_mode, dict, dict); Is this actually correct? Can you implicitly cast this handle to this object pointer? Should it not be a HANDLE instead?

  • Trying to write a loop that uses an OutputStream to write to a text file.

    I'm not a java programmer, I'm a VB programmer. I am doing this as part of an assignment, however, I'm not asking for help on something assignment related. I'd like to figure out how to get the OutputStreamWriter to work properly in this instance. I just want to capture the values I'm generating and place them into a text document. The file is generated, but only one entry exists, not the 40 I'm expecting. I could do this in a heartbeat with VB, but java feels very strange to me right now. Your help is appreciated.   • Using the Callback Method on a View in ASP.NET MVC

    I have a master page with that code: public string CallbackMethod; protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { CallbackMethod = Page.ClientScript.GetCallbackEventReference(this, "message", "Dodanie", "context", true); } /other code here/ then, in the View (which is based on that master page) I need to invoke the CallbackMethod string, but the problem is, the framework firstly renders the View, and then invokes the Page_Load method. As the obvious result, the error appears: the name 'CallbackMethod' does not exist in the current context. How do I fix this?

    I have a groovy/grails application that needs to serve images It works fine on my dev box, the image is returned properly. Here's the start of the returned JPEG, as seen by od -cx 0000000 377 330 377 340 \0 020 J F I F \0 001 001 001 001 , d8ff e0ff 1000 464a 4649 0100 0101 2c01 but on the production box, there's some garbage in front, and the d8ff e0ff before the 1000 is missing 0000000 ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** ? ** ** \0 020 J F bfef efbd bdbf bfef efbd bdbf 1000 464a 0000020 I F \0 001 001 001 \0 H \0 H \0 \0 ? ** ** ? 4649 0100 0101 4800 4800 0000 bfef efbd It's the exact same code. I just moved the .war over and run it on a different machine. (Isn't Java supposed to be write once, run everywhere?) Any ideas? An "encoding" problem? The code is sent to the response like this: response.contentType = "image/jpeg"; response.outputStream << out; Here's the code that locates the image on an internal application server and re-serves the image. On my production machine, the binary bytes in the image are re-encoded/escaped as if they were UTF-8 (see Michael's explanation below). It works fine on my development machine.

  • database schema eligible for delta synchronization

    it's a question for discussion only. Right now, I need to re-design a mysql database table. Basically, this table contains all the contract records I synchronized from another database. The contract record can be modified, deleted or users can add new contract records via GUI interface. At this stage, the table structure is exactly the same as the Contract info (column: serial number, expiry date etc.). In that case, I can only synchronize the whole table (delete all old records, replace with new ones). If I want to delta(only synchronize with modified, new, deleted records) synchronize the table, how should I change the database schema? here is the method I come up with, but I need your suggestions because I think it's a common scenario in database applications. 1)introduce a sequence number concept/column: for each sequence, mark the new added records, modified records, deleted records with this sequence number. By recording the last synchronized sequence number, only pass those records with higher sequence number; 2) because deleted contracts can be added back, and the original table has primary key constraints, should I create another table for those deleted records? or add a flag column to indicate if this contract has been deleted? I hope I explain my question clearly. Anyway, if you know any articles or your own suggestions about this, please let me know. Thanks!

However wiiuse does not support the MotionPlus extension. I have heard of extensions to implement this by Dolphin and libogc but have not managed to locate this code.
