    assumbe ie is still the dominate web browser, the XMLHttpRequest.responseText or XMLHttpRequest.responseXML in ie desire txt or xml/xhtml/html,but what about the server response the xmlHttprequest whith MIME TYPE octact/binary? would the response string all littele than 256 ?(every char of that string < 256), thanks very much for a straight answer, i have no webserver env,so i don't know how to test it out.

  • asp.net custom templated datalist - throws argument out of range (index) on button press

    I have a class BaseTemplate public abstract class BaseTemplate : ITemplate This adds the controls, and provides abstract methods to implement in the inheriting class. The inheriting class then adds its html according to its data source and manages the data binding. this all works fine - I get the control appearing with properly parsed html. the problem is that the base class adds controls into the template that have their own CommandName arguments ... the idea is that the class that implements the custom templated dataList will provide the logic of setting the Selected and Edit Indexes. This class also manages the data binding etc. It sets all of the templates ont he datalist in the Init method (which was another cause of this exception). the exception gets throw when i hit one of these buttons .. but after the ItemCommand event is being processed. The stack trace does not include any references to my methods or objects which is why i am so stuck.     Hello, I'm trying to learn how to write tests.     About a year ago the following paragraph was added to the GCC Manual, version 4.3.4, regarding -fstrict-aliasing: Similarly, access by taking the address, casting the resulting pointer and dereferencing the result has undefined behavior [emphasis added], even if the cast uses a union type, e.g.: union a_union { int i; double d; }; int f() { double d = 3.0; return ((union a_union *)&d)->i; } Does anyone have an example to illustrate this undefined behavior? Note this question is not about what the C99 standard says, or does not say. It is about the actual functioning of gcc, and other existing compilers, today. My simple, naive, attempt fails.   • dojo layout tutorial dor version 1.7 doesn't work for 1.7.2

    This is sortof a continuation to dojo1.7 layout acting screwy. So I made some working widgets and tested them out, i then tried altering my work using the tutorial at http://dojotoolkit.org/documentation/tutorials/1.7/dijit_layout/ to make the layout nice. After failing at that in many interesting ways (thus my last question) I started on a new path. My plan is now to implement the layout tutorial example and then stick in my widgets. For some reason even following the tutorial wont work... everything loads then disappears and I'm left with a blank browser window. Any ideas? It just struck me that it could be browser compatibility issues, I'm working on Firefox 13.0.1. I tried using splitting by spaces and then using '=' characters but string inside quotes can also have '='. is there any different kind of split method which can also take care of quotes?

  • JQUERY, scrollTo, after scrolling down, the page won't let me scroll up for a second... Y?

    I'm using the following JQUERY to attach an even to a link in the header, which essentially scrolls to the bottom of the page: $('#comment-count-btn').click(function(){ $('html,body').scrollTo('#comment-wrapper', 500); }); Problem is, that it scrolls all the way to the bottom of the page (which is correct), but then when I try to scroll up a tad, the scroll bar jumps, as if it's locked for a little bit. Any ideas?
