  • VS2010 possible to convert projects back to VS2008?

    As you all know the VS 2010 RC is out for MSDN subcribers. Unfortunately I guess I have the same problem as some of you, in that the company I work for wants to continue keeping our projects on VS 2008. I would like to know if its possible for me to work with VS 21010, then later convert my projects back to VS2008? I intend to use v3 of the framework for this particular project. Thanks in advance..

  • makefile from Linux doesn't work in OpenSolaris

    In OpenSolaris OS, when I run makefile generated by Eclipse CDT on the Linux OS, I get an error on the first -include line. The same error was in FreeBSD, and was solved by executing gmake instead of make. In OpenSolaris (just installed) gmake doesn't work (command not found). What package should I install and how exactly, to build Linux-generated C++ project in OpenSolaris?

    I'm looking for a free, syntax-highlighting, possibly autocompleting 'code editor's textbox' style control for use in a Visual Studio winforms or wpf project. It should work with C# and self-defined languages. There are pay-for solutions available - something like http://www.syncfusion.com/products/user-interface-edition/windows-forms/Edit would work fine - but I am looking for something simpler, and don't need to pay for unnecessary functionality. Any ideas?

When the user enters some text in that, i need to compare that text to the XML file from where all the data are being recieved, and should list out all the advertisements in the Table View (next page)..     Hi friends, when I run the url at localhost for a php file like: http://localhost/project/admin/ it doesnt open the index.php, but gives panel for downloading the file with the message below :/ You have chosen to open which is a: application/x-httpd-php from: http://localhost What should Firefox do with this file? Scrum doubters are saying that this process is taking too long and development time is being wasted. My question is how long should it take to size a user story on average?   • After opening a mdb in a working copy

    Hallo all, In my institute, Tortoise is employed for the purpose of version control. I find, if a mdb file which belongs to the working copy of a project reporitory is opened thru Access, the ordinary will be labelled with an explamation mark. Since the database has not been modified, I don't unterstand why Tortoise regards the opening as a kind of modification. Thanks in advance for any tips. John

  • How can I quickly set the iPhone deployment target in Xcode?

    I was reading this great article about Base SDK and Deployment targets and decided to try it out myself. The Deployment target seems to be buried in the Build settings, and not that easy to access compared to the Base SDK target (which is right there in the General tab of the project settings). To get to the Deployment settings now I have to Get Info, go to the Build tab, then search for "Deployment". Is there a quick way to check and access the Deployment target in Xcode that I'm missing?

    First I create a setup from a project, and I install it. When the program reads and writes from app.config, I get an UnauthorizedAccessException. This works perfect in visual studio, but with creating a setup and installing it, it always crashes at this point. Someone who knows how to solve this? Thanks

  • Eclipse: find resource on classpath

    Is there a way in eclipse to search the classpath for arbitrary resource file names (or patterns)? I know I can use either Navigate > Open Type (which will scan the classpath for classes) or Navigate > Open Resource, which will search for any resource type, but only in my project folders. Is there any way to achieve a combination ob both, to do a resource search (something like *.xsd) that searches all jars on the classpath?

    I'm still pretty new to Android and programming in general, and I can't seem to get the command line tools packaged with the Android SDK to work. I'm running Mac OSX and each time I try to run layoutopt, for example, the terminal returns, *-bash: cmd: command not found * Also, is it okay to have my SDK located in the Developer directory and my android project in some unrelated directory when using these tools?

    hi Frnz, i want to delete multiple rows from a table view based on users selection.obviously i cant use didSelectRowAtIndexPath method coz it will be called for every row selected. i want to allow user to select multiple rows for deletion and then delete them in one go...Is it possible if yes then how to go about it.Also i am using a single view based project and i want the header of table view changed to "Delete" on the same view when the user want to delete the rows from the view.   • Embedding existing page in a CakePHP site

    We have an existing PHP page (from an earlier project) which could be described as cryptic and ancient. It basically displays a form, catches the input and runs an external application to process the input and then pipes the output to the user. I would really like not to modify this file any more than is required. Would there be an easy way to just make this file magically work by copying it to some location in the CakePHP's directory and have it receive $POST etc. as usual?

  • Generic JSON parser in .NET / WPF?

    I've read lots of tutorials on how to deserialize a JSON object to an object of a particular using DataContractJsonSerializer. However, I'd like to deserialize my object to a Dictionary consisting of either Strings, Arrays or Dictionaries, such as System.Json does with SilverLight when I say JsonObject.Parse(myJSONstring). Is there an equivalent to System.Json that I can use in my WPF project? (just a short background: I'm fetching JSON objects that have way to much info, and I just want to use a little bit to fill out a String array) Cheers Nik
