• How do I use CSS transformations to slide a div on screen?

  Hi, My web page has two divs on it, A and B. Div A is visible, Div B is hidden. When the user clicks a link in div A, I want to "slide" div A off screen (leaving via the left edge), and slide div B on screen (entering via the right edge). I've found that jquery animations are very slow on the ipad, so I want to use the webkit CSS animations instead, which I believe are rendered in hardware. How do I do this?

• Drawing text to <canvas> with @font-face does not work at the first time

  Hi all, First try the test case please: http://lemon-factory.net/test/font-face-and-canvas.html I'm not good at English, so I made the test case to be self-explanatory. On the first click to the DRAW button, it will not draw text, or will draw with an incorrect typeface instead of the specified "PressStart", according to your browser. After then it works as expected. At the first time the text does not appear correctly in all browsers I've tested (Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera). Is it the standard behavior or something?   It's possible change flash settings on your computer at this URL: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html However, given that Macromedia has no problems setting LSO cookies on your HDD that you cannot find, I am a little bit skeptical that the settings I've tweaked there would be saved. So, I'd like to be able to look locally on my PC and verify the settings. Where can I find the settings for Flash locally? Surely the plugin cannot be heading to Macromedia itself for them (that is a future too bleak to contemplate). I am running Ubuntu 10.04. Thanks, Joe

  Hi I wrongly pressed the push button in linksys wap54g web administration. Then it restarted and stated that it's protected with WPA while I first configured it as WEP. So, my old key didn't work. What should I do? Plugin with wire cable to reconfigure it? - which is the only way? coz it was embedded in ceiling. I found no solutions in product manual and google. Thank you.

  For slightly complicated reasons we tend to give people console access to VMs via the webui. This has worked fine in the past, however when the users update their client machines to Windows 7 (or Vista, I am told, although I have not tested that), then the console fails to work. On IE8, having allowed the ActiveX control, the tab causes a "Internet Explorer has stopped working" dialog. On Firefox 3.5 , once the plugin has been installed, using the console causes the browser to crash. I've updated to the most recent VC 2.5 release, and ESX 3.5u5. Anyone else seeing this? Any clues how to get round it (other than using the fat client). Nigel.

• Skype 2.1beta for Linux and sound quality

  I've been using Skype 2.1beta for Linux with my bluetooth headset and quality of the sound is just awful. But not always though, if I call echo service, quality is acceptable, but when I call real people there's echo, sound is crippling, there's pauses, voice is unrecognizable, all sorts of quality problems in one call. If I use newest Skype under WIndows with the same headset to call to the same people, quality is more than normal. So, is there some settings I can tweak, like tell Skype which codec to use or maybe there's noise cancellation plugin for PulseAudio I can use or any other system setting I can try to play with?

  I have been successfully using Adobe Acrobat X to OCR many scanned documents which I use for my research. However I have begun studying old German documents which use the Fraktur script, also known as Gothic. SuperUser won't let me post an image of it, but you can find examples of what it looks like in the Wikipedia article (linked above). I have read about special programs which OCR the text, such as ABBY FineReader für Fraktur, but first it works on Windows (and I use a Mac), and second I'd like to find a Fraktur plugin for Acrobat to fit into my already-existing workflow. Are there any Fraktur OCR plugins for Acrobat? Generally, where should one look for Acrobat OCR plugins?

  There are those plugins that can capture flash videos from websites like Youtube and others. There's also the browsing cache which keeps the videos and I can copy them somewhere else and have them stored on my computer. I know of these, but how can I download a video from a website that (I think) is all flash because the address doesn't change wherever you navigate to and so it stays the same when you play a video that's on the website? No plugin I've tried (realplayer, ant video downloadr, IDM) have worked with it and nothing gets cached from that website.

  I am doing system state backups on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise (Service Pack 1) machine and expected the backups after the first one to be incremental. However with each backup a new directory with vhd files are created and the vhd files are almost the same size as the with the first backup. So the backups does not seem to be incremental. I used the following command to do the backup: wbadmin start systemstatebackup -backupTarget:f: I played around with the settings under "Configure Performance Settings" in the Windows Server Backup plugin in Server Manager but according to the description at the top of the dialog these settings are not applied to system state backups. Are there any settings available for wbadmin system state backup to make the backups incremental?

• Hibernate many-to-many mapping not saved in pivot table

  I having problems saving many to many relationships to a pivot table. The way the pojos are created is unfortunately a pretty long process which spans over a couple of different threads which work on the (to this point un-saved) object until it is finally persisted. I associate the related objects to one another right after they are created and when debugging I can see the List of related object populated with their respective objects. So basically all is fine to this point.   Afetr using the Model library (see this) for my Maven pom.xml during this weeks I jumped on this error while attempting to write a ConfiguratonContainer into the pom.xml. The javadoc for Model says: public void setConfiguration(Object configuration) Set the configuration as DOM object. Parameters: configuration - So I made some xml with Document (org.w3c.dom.Document) and the xml parser standar javax library. You know the code (it's through all the net) but I paste it here... DocumentBuilderFactory factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance(); DocumentBuilder parser = factory.newDocumentBuilder(); Document doc =parser.newDocument(); And then you fill the code with Element declaration,a lot of appendChild and such. And tried to make it work. Doesn't seem to do well. First tried using plugin.setConfiguration(doc); But it didn't work. Then I tried Obejct obj = doc; plugin.setConfiguration(obj); But it didn't work. Then I searched the net for answers, and guess... It didn't work. There are like 0 people using this library (maven.model) in all the net. So here am I again, asking the senseis for help. Where is my error? • Showing protocol specific mini icons for Jabber/XMPP gateway contacts

  Since a short while I'm using Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (11.10) with gnome-shell (Gnome 3) and I'm trying to get accustomed to the default Empathy Instant Messaging client. I'm using a gateway service on the side of my Jabber/XMPP server to communicate with lots of contacts over proprietary networks like ICQ or MSN. So I don't use Empathy's native support for ICQ and MSN, and I don't want to change back to using such a thing for various reasons. One thing that annoys me is that Empathy does not make it clear to me that these contacts are from another instant messaging network. If I enable the View Show Protocols option they are all recognized as Jabber/XMPP contacts. Although I perfectly understand why that happens, I would like to be able to change this behavior to make Empathy mark these contacts correctly. Is there a configuration option or a plugin for this? Or may this feature still be in development and will be available later?

  I'm using a 52" 1080p LCD screen to monitor Nagios, positioned where most of the users can see it. Using the default Nagios web view sort of sucks, since you need to increase the text size a decent amount so it's legible from a distance, and then the "Current Network Status", "Host Status Totals", and other boxes along the top take up the majority of the screen realestate; you can't really see the list of host details. Is there a custom view for Nagios, or a plugin, or something available which is meant to display Nagios details on a large screen with large text?

• Problem starting Compiz: symbol lookup error for libdecoration.so

  I run Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick). I had removed Compiz 0.8.x from my system so I could try out Compiz 0.9.x. I then decided that I wanted Compiz 0.8.x back, so I installed the packages from aptitude. Now, when I try to start Compiz, I get this error: compiz: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/compiz/libdecoration.so: undefined symbol: decor_property_to_quads Using the command "readelf /usr/lib/compiz/libdecoration.so -s", I see that that symbol is present: 24: 00000000 0 FUNC GLOBAL DEFAULT UND decor_property_to_quads Aptitude reports that my Compiz core packages (like compiz, compiz-core, compiz-plugins, etc.) are at version 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.1. Does anyone have any ideas why Compiz is reporting this error, and/or what I can do to fix it? I cannot run Compiz, because this error causes Compiz to abort, even if the "Window Decoration" plugin is not enabled.

  Normally visual studio brings up intellisense for available css classes, which it draws from css files linked to the current aspx/master document. Is there a way to get this to work in an ascx file in a similar way to referencing external JavaScript files in js files for the purpose of intellisense /// <reference path="jquery-1.4.1.js" /> I only want this for the purpose of intellisense and not getting squiggly lines under un-recognised classes. • Can't get PHP script to run when launched from Aptana Studio

  I've been using notepad++ for web development (currently html, css, and some php and mysql). I decided to dive into an IDE to see if I could cut down on development time and have more power than notepad++. I grabbed Aptana yesterday and, after harassing it for a few hours, have finally gotten everything up and running. The only problem is that my web pages, which are .php's, do not execute any of their included .php code in the browser. as an example: <?php echo "IT WORKS WOOO"; ?> ought to print IT WORKS WOOO smack in the middle of my blank test page, and yet it does not. I checked to see if I had somehow forgotten how to do an echo statement and ran it on my desktop, using notepad++, and it worked just fine. I have the php plugin, have used the php perspective to write it and have launched it as a php web page, but nothing makes it execute the php within. Any ideas?

For example, I could select all the div having a specific class, and get the content of all those elements in an array. I was trying to use Regex for this, but I think using XML parser would be better.
