    Possible Duplicate: Disable joining multiple windows to one icon in unity panel If I have two vlc players open, I have to go to the sidebar and click on the vlc icon, then pick which one I want (it does this cool effect where it shows you both windows side by side-- as great as that is, it gets bloody annoying after a while). Is there not an easier way of doing this? Is there no possibility of reverting back to the old system?

    I am working on an application which deals with all kinds of USB storage devices(such as taking backup, updating DataLogFile etc) My problem is : I want to write a shell script which is stored in this USB drive(As usb is at center of my project so USB is going to be same but PC's will change) AND this script should be executed as soon as the USB drive is connected to my Linux system.I will not need any kind of "root" or "sudo" permissions for other tasks which I am going to do in this shell script.

  • Custom Ubuntu 12.04 distro not booting

    After following the instructions at: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCDCustomizationFromScratch; I installed xorg, gdm, and gnome. For some reason when I try to run it on both of my computers and qemu, it freezes up. Sadly I cant access a console to view all my logs, but I do have a dump of the boot process.     We used to have all links in a normal way (thus with parameters?), we changed to Ajax loading cause we installed a music player. Here's an example: Old links: http://stereofox.com/post.php?idPost=5326 New links: http://stereofox.com/post.php#!idPost=5326 The snapshot you can get it by adding _escaped_fragment_= after the ?. All of these have the same content, and this image says what has happend to the site since we changed the linking system.

    I used the wubi installer for Ubuntu 12.04. After having trouble with getting the Operating System to boot, I tried uninstalling it with wubi. From 'My Computer' (in Windows 7), I noticed the maximum capacity of my hard drive drop from 256gb to 238gb. I have tried using some methods with the command prompt to locate the missing storage, but Windows now only recognizes that the storage on the disk to have 238gb instead of the original 256. Is there any way to recover that memory?

    The application consists of Driver code,a Source Object file(.so) ,and a Application code to interact with a hardware Card.. The problem comes in a mmap().It reads address from a card. But it is not getting the correct address in some systems.The Error is because of It is receiving a SIGSEGV signal and segmentation fault followed to that.But in some system which having the same version of kernel is not at all facing the problem and working properly.     From what I have read Quantity on Hand is the physical number of Items in stock http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/quantity-on-hand.html Quantity Available is Quantity On Hand minus outbound items (e.g Ordered Quantity) http://community.intuit.com/posts/quantity-on-hand-vs-quantity-available-2 Does this still hold for POS? Can there be outbound items in POS system since items are picked up immediately? If not does that mean QtyOnHand = QtyAvailable for POS?
