  • XSLT: Display unique rows of filtered XML recordset

    - by Chris G.
    I've got a recordset that I'm filtering on a particular field (i.e. Manager ="Frannklin"). Now I'd like to group the results of that filtered recordset based on another field (Client). I can't seem to get Muenchian grouping to work right. Any thoughts? TIA! CG My filter looks like this: <xsl:key name="k1" match="Row" use="@Manager"/> <xsl:param name="dvt_filterval">Frannklin</xsl:param> <xsl:variable name="Rows" select="/dsQueryResponse/Rows/Row" /> <xsl:variable name="FilteredRowsAttr" select="$Rows[normalize-space(@*[name()=$FieldNameNoAtSign])=$dvt_filterval ]" /> Templates <xsl:apply-templates select="$FilteredRowsAttr[generate-id() = generate-id(key('k1',@Manager))]" mode="g1000a"> </xsl:apply-templates> <xsl:template match="Row" mode="g1000a"> Client: <xsl:value-of select="@Client"/> </xsl:template> Results I'm getting Client: Beta Client: Beta Client: Beta Client: Gamma Client: Delta Results I want Client: Beta Client: Gamma Client: Delta Sample recordset <dsQueryResponse> <Rows> <Row Manager="Smith" Client="Alpha " Project_x0020_Name="Annapolis" PM_x0023_="00123" /> <Row Manager="Ford" Client="Alpha " Project_x0020_Name="Brown" PM_x0023_="00124" /> <Row Manager="Cronkite" Client="Beta " Project_x0020_Name="Gannon" PM_x0023_="00129" /> <Row Manager="Clinton, Bill" Client="Beta " Project_x0020_Name="Harvard" PM_x0023_="00130" /> <Row Manager="Frannklin" Client="Beta " Project_x0020_Name="Irving" PM_x0023_="00131" /> <Row Manager="Frannklin" Client="Beta " Project_x0020_Name="Jakarta" PM_x0023_="00132" /> <Row Manager="Frannklin" Client="Beta " Project_x0020_Name="Vassar" PM_x0023_="00135" /> <Row Manager="Jefferson" Client="Gamma " Project_x0020_Name="Stamford" PM_x0023_="00141" /> <Row Manager="Cronkite" Client="Gamma " Project_x0020_Name="Tufts" PM_x0023_="00142" /> <Row Manager="Frannklin" Client="Gamma " Project_x0020_Name="UCLA" PM_x0023_="00143" /> <Row Manager="Jefferson" Client="Gamma " Project_x0020_Name="Villanova" PM_x0023_="00144" /> <Row Manager="Carter" Client="Delta " Project_x0020_Name="Drexel" PM_x0023_="00150" /> <Row Manager="Clinton" Client="Delta " Project_x0020_Name="Iona" PM_x0023_="00151" /> <Row Manager="Frannklin" Client="Delta " Project_x0020_Name="Temple" PM_x0023_="00152" /> <Row Manager="Ford" Client="Epsilon " Project_x0020_Name="UNC" PM_x0023_="00157" /> <Row Manager="Clinton" Client="Epsilon " Project_x0020_Name="Berkley" PM_x0023_="00158" /> </Rows> </dsQueryResponse>

  • Updating Commit Message in Mercurial MQ extension

    - by Jerub
After using hg qnew and hg qrefresh to create and update a patch that I want to apply to my repository, but the commit message that I wrote when I did hg qnew was not very good, it did not reference the ticket number from trac, and I would like to say something in it about some of the issues that my commit addresses. How do I do something like hg qrewritemycommitmessage. I have examined the docs on the website (starting here: http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/MqExtension ) and I have come up blank.

  • Built-in precedence in Expression Trees?

    - by jdk
I'm unable to find the .NET FCL built-in concept of precedence to leverage while constructing Expression Trees. Ref System.Linq.Expressions Namespace. Is this something that must be handled manually in code, or is it somehow implicit and I'm not recognizing it? Maybe through helper methods or classes? I want to apply it to math operations to ensure 3 + 5 * 10 results in 53 instead of 80.

  • How can I delay one feed in wordpress but not the others?

    - by mattloak
Is there anyway to create a special feed in Wordpress that is on a delay that I can distribute to some of our content partners? I have found some tutorials on how to delay your feed (http://wpengineer.com/publish-the-feed-later/) but it uses the conditional statement is_feed and I don't want to apply this to all feeds, just one particular feed. Any advice?

  • MOSS 2007 - list permission

    - by nav
Hi All, I have configured my list so that users can only read and edit items they have created. I now need to configure this list so that a particular group of users can edit and read all items on this list. I know users with the 'Manage Lists' permission would be able to do this. My question is can this be configured to be even more granular to apply a permission that works like the 'Manage Lists' permission but only for a particular list, rather than all lists? Many Thanks, Nav

  • UML or design tools for websites

    - by Malfist
What is a good tool to design the implementation of websites? I typically use UMl to design applications, but I feel that does not apply well to websites, specifically the heavy emphasis on UI that websites require. What would be a good tool to use to plan a webpage?

  • Context Free Language Question (Pumping Lemma)

    - by Maixy
I know this isn't directly related to programming, but I was wondering if anyone know how to apply the pumping lemma to the following proof: Show that L={(a^n)(b^n)(c^m) : n!=m} is not a context free language I'm pretty confident with applying pumping lemmas, but this one is really irking me. What do you think?

  • Is automated unit-testing on Cognos possible ?

    - by Evandro
Hi everyone ! Does anyone know if there is any tool or a way to apply automated unit testing in report studio and/or framework manager ? When some regression tests are required and I need to run report by report, on the traditional way, it really bothers me. Best regards, Evandro

  • How to add some complex structure in multiple places in an XML file

    - by Guillaume
    I have an XML file which has many section like the one below: <Operations> <Action [some attributes ...]> [some complex content ...] </Action> <Action [some attributes ...]> [some complex content ...] </Action> </Operations> I have to add an <Action/> to every <Operations/>. It seems that an XSLT should be a good solution to this problem: <xsl:template match="Operations/Action[last()]"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/> </xsl:copy> <Action>[some complex content ...]</Action> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="@*|node()"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> My problem is that the content of my <Action/> contains some xPath expressions. For example: <Action code="p_histo01"> <customScript languageCode="gel"> <gel:script xmlns:core="jelly:core" xmlns:gel="jelly:com.niku.union.gel.GELTagLibrary" xmlns:soap="jelly:com.niku.union.gel.SOAPTagLibrary" xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:sql="jelly:sql" xmlns:x="jelly:xml" xmlns:xog="http://www.niku.com/xog" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <sql:param value="${gel_stepInstanceId}"/> </gel:script> </customScript> </Action> The ${gel_stepInstanceId} is interpreted by my XSLT but I would like it to be copied as-is. Is that possible? How?

  • Using Entity Framework (code first) migrations in production

    - by devdigital
I'm just looking into using EF migrations for our project, and in particular for performing schema changes in production between releases. I can see that generating SQL (delta) script files is an option, but is there no way of running the migrations programmatically on app start up? Will I instead need to add each delta script to the solution and write my own framework to apply them in order (from the current version to the latest) on bootstrap?

  • Is there something like the OllyDbg / SoftICE disassembler + debugger for java?

    - by Ran Biron
Is there a utility similar to OllyDbg / SoftICE for java? I.e. execute class (from jar / with class path) and, without source code, show the disassembly of the intermediate code with ability to step through / step over / search for references / edit specific intermediate code in memory / apply edit to file... If not, is it even possible to write something like this (assuming we're willing to live without hotspot for the debug duration)?

  • CSS3's border-radius property and border-collapse:collapse don't mix. How can I use border-radius to

    - by vamin
Edit - Original Title: Is there an alternative way to achieve border-collapse:collapse in CSS (in order to have a collapsed, rounded corner table)? Since it turns out that simply getting the table's borders to collapse does not solve the root problem, I have updated the title to better reflect the discussion. I am trying to make a table with rounded corners using the CSS3 border-radius property. The table styles I'm using look something like this: table { -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; border-radius:10px} Here's the problem. I also want to set the border-collapse:collapse property, and when that is set border-radius no longer works (at least in Firefox)(edit- I thought this might just be a difference in mozilla's implementation, but it turns out this is the way it's supposed to work according to the w3c). Is there a CSS-based way I can get the same effect as border-collapse:collapse without actually using it? Edits: I've made a simple page to demonstrate the problem here (Firefox/Safari only). It seems that a large part of the problem is that setting the table to have rounded corners does not affect the corners of the corner td elements. If the table was all one color, this wouldn't be a problem since I could just make the top and bottom td corners rounded for the first and last row respectively. However, I am using different background colors for the table to differentiate the headings and for striping, so the inner td elements would show their rounded corners as well. Summary of proposed solutions: Surrounding the table with another element with round corners doesn't work because the table's square corners "bleed through." Specifying border width to 0 doesn't collapse the table. Bottom td corners still square after setting cellspacing to zero. Using javascript instead- works by avoiding the problem. Possible solutions: The tables are generated in php, so I could just apply a different class to each of the outer th/tds and style each corner separately. I'd rather not do this, since it's not very elegant and a bit of a pain to apply to multiple tables, so please keep suggestions coming. Possible solution 2 is to use javascript (jQuery, specifically) to style the corners. This solution also works, but still not quite what I'm looking for (I know I'm picky). I have two reservations: 1) this is a very lightweight site, and I'd like to keep javascript to the barest minimum 2) part of the appeal that using border-radius has for me is graceful degradation and progressive enhancement. By using border-radius for all rounded corners, I hope to have a consistently rounded site in CSS3-capable browsers and a consistently square site in others (I'm looking at you, IE). I know that trying to do this with CSS3 today may seem needless, but I have my reasons. I would also like to point out that this problem is a result of the w3c speficication, not poor CSS3 support, so any solution will still be relevant and useful when CSS3 has more widespread support.

  • LINQ to XML, a problem conceptualizing how the tree should look.

    - by snark
Have you ever had one of those days when you've dug a hole but your so deep in now that the only option is to keep on digging and see where you come out? I thought just for giggles in the latest component I'm writing to use LINQ to XML because it was about time I saw what all the hooplah was about. The problem: I am making a graph component that contains series of data that get graphed and then you can apply a formula to that series and graph another series then apply a formula to that series and so on. So I figured that I would do so in 2 steps, create (and manage) an XML representaion of the series and how they relate to each other, then pass this xml to a draw engine which draws. Conceptually its a tree, with the exception of the root all child series being based upon a parent (1 parent can have many children. So I should always be adding child nodes to their parent and if I delete a node(series) then I can simply delete the series and its descendants (then draw) and voila all the messy iterating through each node finding parents and children is unneccessary. Trouble is I dont know how to represent this tree in XML i.e. the structure. My first attempt saw me programatically adding each series as siblings, which worked like a treat because I ended up with an ordered list and thus my order of rendering was maintained. I had this <Chart> <Series id="1">seriesText1</Series> <Series id="2">seriesText2</Series> <Series id="3">seriesText3</Series> <Series id="4">seriesText4</Series> </Chart> I'm in a muddle now ... how can I represent a series and a series that has children series. If some-one can give me a hint to how my tree should look (perhaps with a snippet on how to programatically add nodes to their parents) All the examples I have read usually have some container elements such as <ContactS> or <BookS> but my head says I have <series> some of them parent some of them children. Would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

  • iPhone OS syntax highlighting UITextField

    - by Jack
Hi, I am working on an application and would like to apply some syntax highlighting to some user entered text. I have looked around and some people are suggesting that this can be done in OS 3.2+ but posts seem to be from before the NDA was lifted. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to go about doing this? I would be interested in releasing the code on github if I could get it implemented well, as I have never done so before. Thanks

  • XML and XSLT: need it to sort only certain child nodes

    - by MT
    Hello, I need to have my XSLT stylesheet sort my XML file's child nodes, but only certain ones. Here's an example of what the XML is like: <?xml version="1.0"?> <xmltop> <child1 num="1"> <data>12345</data> </child1> <child1 num="2"> <data>12345</data> </child1> <child2 num="3"> <data>12345</data> </child2> <child2 num="2"> <data>12345</data> </child2> <child2 num="1"> <data>12345</data> </child2> </xmltop> And this is the XSL file I'm using: <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="/xmltop"> <xsl:copy> <xsl:apply-templates> <xsl:sort select="@num"/> </xsl:apply-templates> </xsl:copy> </xsl:template> <xsl:template match="child2"> <xsl:copy-of select="."/> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> This creates problems for me because the nodes are stripped of their tags, and their contents remain, making my XML invalid. I'm not really an expert at XSL so pardon me if this is a dumb question. The <child2>'s are sorted properly. Thank you.
