• Why can't I access one specific website?

  I can browse all websites except codinghorror.com in any of my browsers (IE, Firefox & Chrome), but that site is not down. Chrome gives this error msg: Error 109 (net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE): Unknown error There's absolutely no problem with internet connectivity. I also enabled TCP/IP version-6 but the site just doesn't open. What could be the problem?

• SQL Server connection error (a weird one) (unsolved yet)

  SQL Server can be connected from local system but can not be connected from remote system in the network. The error code is 40 from Visual Studio and 1326 when I try to connect to SQL Server from Management Studio. Firewall isn't the problem TCP/IP connection is enabled from SQL Server There are 2 pc terminals that can connect to the SQL Server but the 3th one cannot and using the same connection strings so the connection string is right It is SQL server 2000 any help will be appreciated thanks

• How can I find out which service is keeping Vista from restarting?

  Running Vista on my Toshiba laptop for several years now. Recently, I noticed it will not restart - I have to power cycle it. I have enabled Verbose Status messages, so I know it's stuck at "Stopping services". Is there a way to figure out which service is not stopping? I'm hoping for some kind of log like the bootlog. I've tried looking through the event viewer - no luck there.

I have enabled the module: LoadModule authn_file_module modules/mod_authn_file.so in the Apache configuration. Now, when I load the page I now get a 500 error and apache log says "configuration error: couldn't check user. No user file?: /"

• Dropbox doesn't recognize camera (for Camera Upload)

  I'm running OS X 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro 13" 2011 version, trying to use Dropbox 1.4.7 Camera Upload. When I connect my Sony HDR-XR260 video camera or my Blackberry Torch 9800 via USB or even an SD card via the built-in reader, Dropbox never recognizes any of it and the pop-up dialog box never pops up to ask me if I want to import my videos or not. I do have the option enabled in DB preferences. Any solutions?

  I recently bought a Plantronics bluetooth headset for VOIP in Skype. But I am facing an annoying problem. The microphone is really sensitive and I could hear all the background noises and my sound though the headphone (of blutooth headset). I tried to disable the bluetooth headset in Playback devices and I could hear the amplified background noise through speakers! I checked if there is a microphone boost option enabled, but couldn't find it in the properties of the headset recording device

  All emails I send from my new server go to spam in Gmail (and sometimes yahoo). I've never before sent out mass email or spam. • Why is it not possible to delete IE addons from the IE interface?

  You can disable but you can't delete them from the "Manage addons" dialog. In IE 7 there was a delete button but I've never seen it enabled, in IE 8 I don't see the button at all. My guess would be that IE addons are registered as COM components and you cannot track who uses that component besides IE itself so it would be unsafe to delete.

I purchased an SSD to run as a the root drive - I'd like to enable TRIM on it but the only documentation I can find on it is that it can be enabled using newfs or tunefs. Is there a way to specify flags to newfs during the installation process, and if not, am I going to run into TRIM-related issues if I run tunefs after installation is complete?

I can follow tutorials online to recompile the most recent php version for centos, but will it generally just work after that? Or does apache need to know to use the new installation? It has windows 2008 x64 standard The SQL install is SQL 2008 standard The virtual machine has 12gb of RAM, and 4 virtual CPU The box is suffering from near 100% CPU a lot of the time I enabled the AWE- but SQL server only seems to use 3-4gb of RAM Is there a way of making it use more available ram more effectively? cache results for example..?

  I have 16gb of ram installed in my computer, and nearly 70% of it is used at all times. Looking at the processes in task manager the memory being used with everything in there doesn't even add up to 2gb. I have RAPID mode enabled on my ssd which may be using 2gb at most so I would understand that.   I recently inherited an Infiniband network containing multiple switches, and I know that one of these switches is running the subnet manager. The rest supposedly have that feature turned off, or were never enabled. The trouble is, I have no idea which one it is... I'd like to replace the switch subnet manager with OpenSM running on a couple of my infrastructure servers. Is there any way, short of logging into each switch individually, to determine which switch is running the SM?

  I just compiled nginx v1.2.3 from source on a CentOS 6.3 server and am trying to use the ssl_prefer_server_ciphers directive, but I am getting an error nginx: [emerg] unknown directive "ssl_prefer_serfver_cipers" in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/application:5 I am not seeing anywhere that this directive depends on any specific versions of other libraries, or even specific versions of nginx. Users from Domain A are able to login reomtely using admin credentials. how ever using the same credentials users from Domain B Domain C & Domain D are not able to login.   I have intranet application with windows authentication on it. Annonymous users are not allowed. Now i am trying to add one subfolder which should be allowed to local domain users too.
