  • How to store byte[] from Android Camera onPictureTaken method within application for later use

    I am writing a larger Android application and I use the camera within the app. All I want to do with the camera is have the user take a picture, then start a new activity to show that image and allow the user to decide if they want to keep the image or not. I am having the hardest time figuring out how to simply store the byte[] data from the onPictureTaken method so that I can display it to the user in the next activity. I have tried many different routes and none of them have worked. The last thing I tried was creating a globalsettings class that extends the Application class and creating a byte[] field within it to store the byte[] from the camera so that I could use it within another activity, but my global variable is still not getting set.   • how did i break :method -> :delete

    i refactored my entire application and gave it a whole new design. The one thing that seems to be broken is all the original link_to methods I had which were :method = :delete are now getting sent as a GET request. The only thing I did that I can remember that might cause it is delete jquery-rails from the gemfile (I'm just getting it from google ajax). Does anyone have any other ideas what I could have deleted?

    I am trying to write a recursive method to print n number of asteriks in a line and create a new line at the end. So, TriangleOps.line(5); would print ***** This is the code I wrote: public static void line (int n){ if(n>0){ System.out.println("*"); line(n-1); }} instead it prints * * * * * with a lot of space at the end. Can anyone tell me how to remove the line breaks?

  • Be notified of method calls in .NET

    Basically, what I want to do is to be notified whenever a specific method has been called. I was hoping I could accomplish this using Reflection, but my attempts haven't gotten me anywhere yet, so I'm hoping that perhaps somebody else with the same need has accomplished this before and can enlighten me. I figured using MethodInfo was the way to go, but like I said, I found nothing there that could help me accomplish what I wanted to do. Any suggestions, hints or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Overriding the save() method of a model that uses django-mptt

    I've been using django-mptt in my project for a while now, it's fabulous. Recently, I've found a need to override a model's save() method that uses mptt, and I'm getting an error when I try to save a new instance of that model: Exception Type: ValueError at /admin/scrivener/page/add/ Exception Value: Cannot use None as a query value I'm assuming that this is a result of the fact that the instance hasn't been stuck into a tree yet, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing this.
