  • iPhone crashing when presenting modal view controller

    I'm trying to get some information (itemID, title, price and mileage) for multiple listings from ebay website using their api . So far I got this link up http://open.api.ebay.com/shopping?callname=GetMultipleItems&responseencoding=XML&appid=Morcovar-c74b-47c0-954f-463afb69a4b3&siteid=0&version=525&IncludeSelector=ItemSpecifics&ItemID=220617293997,250645537939,230485306218 I've saved the document as .xml file using php curl and now I need to get/extract the values(itemID, title, price and mileage) into arrays and store them in database. Unfortunately I never worked with php dom and I can't figure it out how to extract the values . I tried to follow the tutorial found on IBM website http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-xmldomphp/ but I had no success. Some help would be highly appreciated.

    Hello, I'm trying to deploy my rails application by using Passenger and Capistrano on Dreamhost. I'm using Git as a version control and we bought an account from GitHub. I have installed all required gems, Passenger and Capistrano in my local machine and I have cloned the repository of my project from GitHub in my local machine as wel. According to Dreamhost support, they have Passenger, Ruby, Rails and etc on their server as well.   • How to extract ALL typedefs and structs and unions from c++ source

    I have inherited a Visual Studio project that contains hundreds of files. I would like to extract all the typedefs, structs and unions from each .h/.cpp file and put the results in a file). Each typdef/struct/union should be on one line in the results file. This would make sorting much easier. typdef int myType; struct myFirstStruct { char a; int b;...}; union Part_Number_Serial_Number_Part_2_Response_Message_Type {struct{Message_Response_Head_Type Head; Part_Num_Serial_Num_Part_2_Report_Array Part_2_Report; Message_Tail_Type Tail;} Data; BYTE byData[140];}myUnion; struct { bool c; int d;...}mySecondStruct; My problem is, I do not know what to look for (grammar of typedef/structs/unions) using a regular expression. I cannot believe that nobody has done this before (I googled and have not found anything on this). Does anyone know the regular expressions for these? (Note some are commented out using // others /* */) Or a tool to accomplish this. Edit: I am toying with the idea of autogenerating source code and/or dialogs for modifying messages that use the underlying typedef/struct/union. I was going to use the output to generate an XML file that could be used for this reason. The source for these are in C/C++ and used in almost all my projects. These projects are usually NOT in C/C++. By using the XML version I would only need to update/add the typedef/struct/union only in one place and all the projects would be able to autogen the source and/or dialogs.

  • How can I restore the "auto" values with for list-style-type in nested unordered lists with CSS?

    By default, an unstyled set of nested <ul> lists looks like this (in Chrome, Firefox, and IE at least): The top level has a list-style-type of disc, the next level is circle, and subsequent levels are square. If I include a stylesheet that changes the list-style-type to none, is there a simple way to revert back to the "automatic bullet types" later in the document? (e.g., override with a subsequent CSS definition or JavaScript style change) Basically, I'm looking for something like list-style-type: auto; (which is apparently not valid and has no effect): <style type="text/css"> ul { list-style-type: none; } ul { list-style-type: auto; } /* Does not work */ </style> Setting the list-style-type back to disc changes every bullet in the list and I no longer see different bullets at different levels, so that doesn't work either.   • Oracle access from iOS

    I'm developing an iPad app that needs read-only access to an Oracle database. Is there any way to do this? As far as I can see, the only options are using OCI, which requires a prebuilt binary in the form of the instant client (and not built for ARM), or OJDBC drivers. Both of these seem to be out of the question. In my research I have discovered that libmysqlclient compiles for arm with minimal tuning. This is a stretch, but is there any possible way to use this to my advantage? I have seen this product providing odbc connectivity through the use of a Windows gateway machine using the ODBC client libraries, but this solution really isn't an option for me at the present time. Any ideas?

    We're going to start a new huge project and while it's in the process of architecting the system, I have certain doubts whether I can apply patterns and be sure they won't be violated by team members. The problem is, not all team members have enough skills to develop asp.net apps let's say using MVP pattern. So maybe this question is addressed to Team leads, or experienced devs. Did you dealt with this kind of situation, and if so what was your solution. I was thinking to create the core by myself, and let 'em start building upon that core, however I'm not sure it will work out.

  • Hibernate without primary keys generated by db?

    I'm building a data warehouse and want to use InfiniDB as the storage engine. However, it doesn't allow primary keys or foreign key constraints (or any constraints for that matter). Hibernate complains "The database returned no natively generated identity value" when I perform an insert. Each table is relational, and contains a unique integer column that was previously used as the primary key - I want to keep that, but just not have the constraint in the db that the column is the primary key. I'm assuming the problem is that Hibernate expects the db to return a generated key.   • Need help in using Eclipse JEE version to develop a servlet project

    Hi, I have downloaded eclipse jee version (3.5) and I would like to use it to develop a servlet project on tomcat. So I * install tomcat and add it as my server in my eclipse environment. * create a Dynamic Web Project called 'TestServlet' * create a new servlet called 'MainServlet' and then I deploy my project to the tomcat server via eclipse and 'run the server in debug' mode. But when I use the browser to hit 'http://localhost:8080/TestServlet/MainServlet' I see no resource found (that page is generated by Tomcat, so I know my Tomcat is running). Can you please tell me what am I missing? Or how can I trouble shoot my problem? I think it must be some path /name is not set correctly.

  • Is there a browser-agnostic way to detect client-side script errors with Watin?

    We're using WatiN to test our web portals. During the course of an E2E test, we'll occasionally see client-side script errors on the IE status bar. I'd like to chain a handler onto the script error event and record the error for later analysis and bug filing. Problem is, I don't know that there's a global script error event or how to chain into it. And if there's not a browser-agnostic way to accomplish this, I can create MyIE and MyFF subclasses but then this becomes two browser-specific questions. In essence, I'm thinking of something like this entirely made-up call: browser.ScriptEngine.SetCustomErrorHandler(LogScriptingError); ... where LogScriptErrors is my code that does the obvious. Many of our client-side scripting errors don't necessarily prevent the test from continuing (a pretty UI element didn't animate, for example, but the underlying form is still submittable), so I'd like to log the error and forge ahead in most cases.

    I'm trying to extract the price from the bellow html page/link using php cURL and preg_match . Basically I'm expecting for this code to output 4,550 but for some reasons I get Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in C:\wamp\www\test.php on line 22 I think that the pattern is correct because if I put the html itself in a variable and escape the "" it works ! . Also if I output (echo $result;) it displays the html properly grabbed from foxtons website so I just can't figure it out why the whole thing doesn't work . Actually, I'm more interested if MSBuild v4 is installed, which would boil down to a simple File.Exists(@"C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\msbuild.exe"); However, apart from the fragility of the 4.0.30319 Version (and the Windir, but that's easy to solve), I wonder if there is a more appropriate way, like an API?

    Hi, I have a stateless EJB that acceses my database. I need this bean in a JSF 2 converter to retreive an entity object from the String value parameter. I'm using JEE6 with Glassfish V3 @EJB annotation does not work and gets a NPE, because it's in the faces context and it has not access to the ejb context. My question is: Is it still possible to Inject this bean (With a @Resource or other annotation, a JNDI lookup,...), or do i need a workaround?
