  • Remove the white text shadow from disabled links in IE8

    We are using Ext JS for an application in work, building a custom theme for it. We currently have a dark colour scheme including menus with dark backgrounds. In some of the menus some of the links are disabled at certain points, which all perfectly. However IE8 seems to add a sort of white text shadow, which I am sure is normally fine but as the text is light grey and the background is dark grey the white text shadow makes it look blurry and even makes the other enabled links more disabled as they look darker. Does anyone know of a way to remove the text shadow (I realise it is not css text-shadow as IE does not support it).

    I have a List<HashMap<String,Object>> which represents a database where each list record is a database row. I have 10 columns in my database. There are several rows where the values of 2 particular columns are equals. I need to remove the duplicates from the list after the list is updated with all the rows from database. What is the efficient way? FYI - I am not able to do distinct while querying the database, because the GroupName is added at a later stage to the Map after the database is loaded. And since Id column is not primary key, once you add GroupName to the Map. You will have duplicates based on Id + GroupName combination! Hope my question makes sense. Let me know if we need more clarification.

I am using onpostbackurl ...Its posting the form to other server but text field input is not getting into other server. If I remove enctype="multipart.. it seems to be working fine...but the thing is I am doing all this in sharepoint and <formid="aspnetform" enctype="multipart/datapart"...is getting added on its own..... in my control I am giving text field and button only .....Any idea how to achieve this...?

    I am trying to uninstall synaptic. I prefer using apt-get and other command line tools to manage my packages. So I do not need synaptic and the software manager. I'm trying to remove both of them using apt-get. Its a new box. Recently installed Linux Mint mate 15.   • Remove first element from $@ in bash

    I'm writing a bash script that needs to loop over the arguments passed into the script. However, the first argument shouldn't be looped over, and instead needs to be checked before the loop. If I didn't have to remove that first element I could just do: for item in "$@" ; do #process item done I could modify the loop to check if it's in its first iteration and change the behavior, but that seems way too hackish. There's got to be a simple way to extract the first argument out and then loop over the rest, but I wasn't able to find it.

  • iPhoneOS SDK - Remove Corner Rounding from views (iPad problem)

    Hi Guys This might be a little bit picky, but in the iPad SplitViewController setup, there are 2 views. Each of the views has a very small black corner rounding. (This is probably the same with iPhone apps too). This rounding is visible in the image below. What I would like to do is remove the black rounding, so the UI doesnt get these two little bumps along the bottom. Has anyone done this, or know how to? -Its surely possible.     I have an app that sends a notification at the same time everyday, reminding the user to enter data into it. However, I want to give the user teh option to disable this as this could get very annoying, so I have an "Enable alerts" in a custom settings bundle. My question is, when the user toggles the switch in the settings bundle, can I add/remove the notifications that are already scheduled without having to enter the app again? note: I'm building and supporting for iOS 4.2.1, and I don't konw why but under "notifications" in the settings app, my app does not appear. I see it on ios 5.x devices though

My plugin binds custom events to the window... _subscribe: function() { $(window).on("dragger.started", function() { ... }); } I am wondering how to go about removing these events, when a particular instance of the plugin is destroyed. If I use... destroy: function() { $(window).off("dragger.started"); } ...then that will mess up any other instances of the plugin on the page, as it will remove all "dragger.started" events. What is the recommended way to go about destroying only those events that are associated with an instance of the plugin? Thanks (in advance) for your help.

    I've got this code to erase an annotations (pins) in my mkmapview without erasing my blue dot (userLocation). The problem is that it erasing the pins I've added in seemingly random numbers. when it's called through an IBAction it removes the first 5 then click again it removes the next 3, then the next 2, then the last one.   • Unable to remove package from Delphi 2005

    I needed to reinstall a package, DrRX.bpl. I removed it from the package list, and trying to install a newer version of the same package. I've replaced the old component's dir with the new one. When I open the new DrRX.bpl and click install, I get the error "Package C:\Program Files\Borland\BDS\3.0\components\rx work\output\DrRx.bpl cannot be installed because another package with the same basename is already loaded (DrRx.bpl)" I cannot find any reference to DrRX in my package list, DrRX does not appear in the Tool Palette. How do I locate where Delphi thinks this is installed, and remove it, so I can reinstall the package?

    hello, I am trying out the ria services and I am experiencing this problem that seems very strange to me. I am creating a new entity of type "House" and add it to context without saving the context so the id of the new entity is 0, after i remove this entity and add another new entity of type "House" again and again without saving the context, here comes the weird part, now I have an entity of type "City" which holds entityset of all "Houses" in that city, so to put the newly created entity "House" into the city i do something like this - house.City = city, where house is type "House" and city is type "City", afte this step a check the context and suddenly there are 2 entities of type "House" with id 0, one of them is the one I have deleted at the beginning. Any idea what is causing this and how to fix it?? thank you Greg

    I am just looking at setting up a simple viewController programatically, I have a ViewController.xib file that I have set the background color to RED in interface builder. Unfortunately it may contain not utf-8 characters and there is a requirement to remove these characters from the xml on my side (legacy). Let's consider an example where this invalid XML contains £ (pound). 1) I get xml as java String with £ in it (I don't have access to interface right now, but I probably get xml as a java String). But I need to be able to remove the bindings when the screen is closed and control is being disposed. How can I do this? I am thinking of just passing null as the second parameter of SetBinding and not sure if this will fix the issue.
