• dotted stroke in <canvas>

  I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this? I've seen some examples but they are really long for such a silly function. • Why is my site displaying differently In Firefox than in Safari?

  I manage a website called ShareDen.com (http://shareden.com/home) and it looks the right way in Mozilla Firefox and it's totally completely discombobulated in Safari. I Haven't tested it in other broswer's (still in process) however my guess is it looks horrible in IE 8. Could it be because I just added the CSS Sticky Footer to my site?   I would like to perform a SQL XML insert (on MSSQL), and in this case I need to insert a list of files into the DB (this is simple enough). However, there's an auto generated PK column (ID), and I need the ID for each newly created filename without performing a 2nd query. Is this possible? I guess it doesn't matter if the result is/isn't XML, but the input certainly has to be.

  I would like users to be able to see the corresponding URL for an anchor tag generated by Html.ActionLink() when they hover over the link. This is done by setting the title attribute but where I'm stuck is figuring out how to get that value: @Html.ActionLink(@testrun.Name, "Download", "Trx", new { path = @testrun.TrxPath }, new { title = ??) How can I specify the URL that ActionLink is going to generate? I could hardcode something I guess but that violates DRY.

• Why does Mercurial only have one level of rollback?

  I understand the restrictions of rollback and the care required in its use (for example, http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/hg.1.html#rollback), but I just wondered why there is only 1 level of rollback. My guess it's a design decision and that the hassle of storing multiple previous transactional states to handle multiple levels of rollback is more trouble than its worth.

• Alternative Host (by DNS?) for Web Server Failure Protection

My guess would be to add additional nameservers beyond the first two.   Hi, In Scheme, procedures like +, -, *, / works on different types of numbers, but we don't much see any other generic procedures. For example, length works only on list so that vector-length and string-length are needed. I guess it comes from the fact that the language doesn't really offer any mechanism for defining generic procedure (except cond of course) like "type classes" in Haskell or a standardized object system. Is there an idiomatic scheme way to handle generic procedures that I'm not aware of ?

  Hi, I have some piece of code which uses JNI. I can debug code wrote in Java directly in Eclipse (using ADT). I even have a script, which help me debug native code with gdb. However this is not very comfortable way for doing this. Is it possible to configure Eclipse to use gdb (I guess gdbserver) for debbuging android native applications?
