• Thread help with Android game

  I need some help dealing with three Threads in Android One thread is the main thread, the other is the GLThread, and the other is a WorkerThread I created to update the game state. The problem I have is they all need to access the same LinkedList of game objects. Both the GLThread and my WorkerThread only read from the LinkedList, so no problem there, but occasionally I have the main thread adding in another game object to the list. How can I manage this? I tried using synchronized in front of the functions involved but it really slows down the application. For some reason, just catching the errors and not rendering or updating the game state that frame, causes it to start lagging permanently. Anyone have any great ideas?

  Please help me understand: print gettype(new CustomerObject()) prints: "object" (so it is an object) BUT print gettype((new CustomerObject())->get_customer()); prints: unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR If I do it over two lines it works fine $object = new Customer($order->customer_id); print gettype($object); prints: object $customer = $object->get_customer(); print gettype($customer); prints: array It appears that the lines cannot be joined into a single call. Is this correct? and what is the logic behind that?

• Help with MySQL and CASE WHEN with a range of values

  I have an accounts table and a records table where accounts have multiple records. I would like to break down the account totals by "count of records" range. i.e. show the breakdown of Count of Records | Count 0-25 | 100 25 - 50 | 122 50 - 100 | 300 etc. I am using the following query, but I can't get it to group by "grp" which is what I want, any help on the best way to modify query? • Help getting PHP sessions to persist after being taken off-site

  Hi, we're working on a payment gateway system with PHP. We use sessions to store the shopping cart data. The system takes you off-site to the payment processor's site, and then return you to your site. On most hosts, we have no issues when we arrive back at our site and having the session data still be there. On those with an issue, turning off the PHP session referer_check has worked in the past. We don't really want to have to include the PHPSESSID as a GET variable, and hope to avoid that. What I'm looking for is what other server configurations would cause the session to be killed, and any other workarounds there might be. Thanks for your help.

  Hi, I have a problem that I didn't manage to solve for a very long time, and I quite desperate. I have a Database (SQL Server) with table named 'ProcessData' and columns named 'Process_Name' (Data Type: nvarchar(50)), 'Start_At' (DataType: DateTime) and 'End_At' (Data Type: DateTime). I need to know for each 'Time-Interval' (let's say 1 minute) how many processes (Process_Name = PN) was open (after or equal to the 'Start_at' column and before or equal to the 'End_At' column) during this time (It can be a few rows with the same data). Does anyone know how to make this query without a 'for' loop? (It ITSELF will promote the time), (The answer will be a table with two columns (1. You can check that at Joomla Help -> System Info -> PHP Information) * php-cli (Command Line Interface to PHP) must be installed in the server and its path set in Server Settings * safe_mode must be set to Off for php-cli. You can check that executing php -i | grep safe_mode from the command line i've checked the first two settings. i don't know whether php-cli is enabled or not..i'm using php5..how do i enable it, without messing with other php packages?

I just don't know how to insert it into the js code. If I do it like this: addOption(list, "Cars", "&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Cars"); Then the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; comes into the text, so it gets displayed for the users.   Hello guys, I need some help with a complex SQL query. Here's my setup: there are two tables, one with authors, and another with books. The books table contains a field named "author" which holds author's id. If a book has more than one author, then the "author" field will contain all the authors ids separated by ";" (something like 2;34;234). On the website I have to list all the books written by an author. If there's only one author, its simple, but how can I get those books where the author I'm interested in is the second or third author? Many thanks.

  There should be a simple Linq query for what I'm trying to accomplish, but I'm producing some ugly code. I have two tables, one of issues and another of issue status. There is a one-to-many relationship between issue and issue status. When an issue is created an IssueStatus is also created with the status field set to "Open" when it is closed, another IssueStatus is created with the status field set to "Closed" ... but issues can be re-opened. It seems like I should be able to write something like this: public static List<Issue> FindOpenIssues(this IList<Issue> issues) { return ( from issue in issues from issueStatus in issue.issueStatus.OrderBy(x=>x.CreatedOn).Single() where issueStatus.Status == "Open" select issue ).ToList(); } This obviously fails, but there must be a clean way to do this?   Hi, I am using php/mysql for a search. My table is 'height' and data type = varchar(10) which contains value like (5ft 2in, 5ft 3in,...and so on). While searching I got 2 values - height1 and height2 which are basically the ranges.   Hello everyone. I'm trying to redirect an easy to remember url to a php file but I'm having some trouble with the regex. Here's what I have at the moment: RewriteRule ^tcb/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,})/([a-zA-Z0-9]{1,}) /tcb/lerbd.php?autocarro=$1&tipo=$2&dsd=$3 It is working but only if I supply all 3 arguments. I want the last two arguments to be optional so it either works with only the first or all three. I'm hoping you can help me with this. Thank you very much.
