    hi guys, Just Wondering how [session] timeouts are(or can be) implemented when using Comet? I'm using Long polling Comet solution and want to implement a kind of Timeout feature. Example : If the user is on a comet enabled page and doesn't respond to server events/notification for a period of time say 10 mins then invalidate his session and remove his request from server and redirect the user to a timeout page? Will this require Javascript XHR requests to check for a timeout explictly? Using ASP.NET 3.5 / C# Thanks

Example here: link text From what i understand clicking in the area inside the red border should trigger all 3 event handlers (red, blue & body), only red and body are triggered.. I have tried altering the third value of addEventListener and changing the return values but to no avail, any ideas? D.

    Hey guys. I am writing an App using JTwitter however I need to authenticate in order to not have the 150 requests per minute on the public api. Jtwitter seems to support OAuth however I have some questions. My app will be running behind a company firewall - so the URL wont be accessible outside of the company's network - will callback authorisation work, and does anybody have an example of using callback authorisation using OAuth in JTwitter - because I cannot work it out in order to try it. The problem is, that I can't use the suggested solution under android, because it throws java.lang.verifyError... After reading a little bit, I found out, that the class that was used to store the data to file, is not usable in android... can you suggest another solution, which is similar easy to use?

    Working in a medium size project during last 4 months - we are using JPA and Spring - I'm quite sure that JPA is not powerfull for projects that requires more than CRUD screen... Query interface is poor, Hibernate doesn't respect JPA spec all the time and lot of times I need to use hibernate classes, annotations and config. What do you guys think about JPA? Is it not good enough?

  • Random loading swf files into main swf with countdown timer

    ok guys a question, can this be done or has it already been done, or can someone point me in the right direction (be aware i an a total newbie with action script) i have a main swf movie about 600px x 400 px what i want is this to run for say 30 seconds, then i want a countdown timer in the bottom corner for say 10 seconds, after this i want it to randomly load another swf file over the top of the original, and then the timer repeats for 10 seconds and repates the random loading of another swf file over the top etc, etc, etc so whats the best way around this

    hi guys, i am tasked with the job of creating client-side validation on a form in an asp.net MVC 2 application, which has a modal window (the modal exists as part of the wrapping form, it is not a form unto itself). how would i go about providing validation for these text field inputs while the modal is visible, but do not validate while the modal is not displayed (as to not cause problems in the rest of the form if the modal window is never required) What is the best approach to achieve this functionality? thanks, Nick
