  • XmlDataProvider authentication Http issue

    - by Allen Ho
Hi, I have an XMLDataProvider IsAsynchronous="True" x:Key="xmlData" Source="http://192.168.15.90/text.xml"/ The only problem is the Source requires authtication. I can get around this but using a HttpWebRequest in which I can pass in NetworkCredentials, but I was just wondering if there was a simpler way of passing in credentials to the XMLDataProvider

  • Getting ClassCastException with JSF 1.2 Custom Component and BEA 10.3

    - by Tobi
Im getting a ClassCastException if i use Attributes in my Custom Headline Tag. Without Attributes rendering works fine. • Simple C# Tokenizer Using Regex

    - by Pete
I'm looking to tokenize really simple strings, but struggling to get the right Regex. The strings might look like this: string1 = "{[Surname]}, some text... {[FirstName]}" string2 = "{Item}foo.{Item2}bar" And I want to extract the tokens in the curly braces (so string1 gets "{[Surname]}","{[FirstName]}" and string2 gets "{Item}" and "{Item2}") this question is quite good, but I can't get the regex right: poor mans lexer for c# Thanks for the help!

  • Binding Silverlight UserControl custom properties to its' elements

    - by ghostskunks
Hi. I'm trying to make a simple crossword puzzle game in Silverlight 2.0. I'm working on a UserControl-ish component that represents a square in the puzzle. I'm having trouble with binding up my UserControl's properties with its' elements. I've finally (sort of) got it working (may be helpful to some - it took me a few long hours), but wanted to make it more 'elegant'. I've imagined it should have a compartment for the content and a label (in the upper right corner) that optionally contains its' number. The content control probably be a TextBox, while label control could be a TextBlock. So I created a UserControl with this basic structure (the values are hardcoded at this stage): <UserControl x:Class="XWord.Square" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" FontSize="30" Width="100" Height="100"> <Grid x:Name="LayoutRoot" Background="White"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> <RowDefinition Height="*"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <TextBlock x:Name="Label" Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Text="7"/> <TextBox x:Name="Content" Grid.Row="1" Grid.Column="0" Text="A" BorderThickness="0" /> </Grid> </UserControl> I've also created DependencyProperties in the Square class like this: public static readonly DependencyProperty LabelTextProperty; public static readonly DependencyProperty ContentCharacterProperty; // ...(static constructor with property registration, .NET properties // omitted for brevity)... Now I'd like to figure out how to bind the Label and Content element to the two properties. I do it like this (in the code-behind file): Label.SetBinding( TextBlock.TextProperty, new Binding { Source = this, Path = new PropertyPath( "LabelText" ), Mode = BindingMode.OneWay } ); Content.SetBinding( TextBox.TextProperty, new Binding { Source = this, Path = new PropertyPath( "ContentCharacter" ), Mode = BindingMode.TwoWay } ); That would be more elegant done in XAML. Does anyone know how that's done?

  • Datagrid using usercontrol

    - by klawusel
Hello I am fighting with this problem: I have a usercontrol which contains a textbox and a button (the button calls some functions to set the textbox's text), here is the xaml: <UserControl x:Class="UcSelect" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" x:Name="Control1Name" <Grid x:Name="grid1" MaxHeight="25"> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition /> <ColumnDefinition Width="25"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="25"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <TextBox x:Name="txSelect" Text="{Binding UcText, Mode=TwoWay}" /> <Button x:Name="pbSelect" Background="Red" Grid.Column="1" Click="pbSelect_Click">...</Button> </Grid> And here the code behind: Partial Public Class UcSelect Private Shared Sub textChangedCallBack(ByVal [property] As DependencyObject, ByVal args As DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs) Dim UcSelectBox As UcSelect = DirectCast([property], UcSelect) End Sub Public Property UcText() As String Get Return GetValue(UcTextProperty) End Get Set(ByVal value As String) SetValue(UcTextProperty, value) End Set End Property Public Shared ReadOnly UcTextProperty As DependencyProperty = _ DependencyProperty.Register("UcText", _ GetType(String), GetType(UcSelect), _ New FrameworkPropertyMetadata(String.Empty, FrameworkPropertyMetadataOptions.BindsTwoWayByDefault, New PropertyChangedCallback(AddressOf textChangedCallBack))) Public Sub New() InitializeComponent() grid1.DataContext = Me End Sub Private Sub pbSelect_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.RoutedEventArgs) 'just demo UcText = UcText + "!" End Sub End Class The UserControl works fine when used as a single control in this way: <local:UcSelect Grid.Row="1" x:Name="ucSingle1" UcText="{Binding FirstName, Mode=TwoWay}"/> Now I wanted to use the control in a custom datagrid column. As I like to have binding support I choosed to derive from DataGridtextColumn instead of using a DataGridTemplateColumn, here is the derived column class: Public Class DerivedColumn Inherits DataGridTextColumn Protected Overloads Overrides Function GenerateElement(ByVal oCell As DataGridCell, ByVal oDataItem As Object) As FrameworkElement Dim oElement = MyBase.GenerateElement(oCell, oDataItem) Return oElement End Function Protected Overloads Overrides Function GenerateEditingElement(ByVal oCell As DataGridCell, ByVal oDataItem As Object) As FrameworkElement Dim oUc As New UcSelect Dim oBinding As Binding = CType(Me.Binding, Binding) oUc.SetBinding(UcSelect.UcTextProperty, oBinding) Return oUc End Function End Class The column is used in xaml in the following way: <local:DerivedColumn Header="Usercontrol" Binding="{Binding FirstName, Mode=TwoWay}"></local:DerivedColumn> If I start my program all seems to be fine, but changes I make in the custom column are not reflected in the object (property "FirstName"), the changes are simply rolled back when leaving the cell. I think there must be something wrong with my GenerateEditingElement code, but have no idea ... Any Help would really be appreciated Regards Klaus

  • How to bind Lists of a custom view model to a dropDownList an get the selected value after POST in A

    - by user187220
I have following problem. In my view model I defined some list properties as follows: public class BasketAndOrderSearchCriteriaViewModel { List<KeyValuePair> currencies; public ICollection<KeyValuePair> Currencies { get { if (this.currencies == null) this.currencies = new List<KeyValuePair>(); return this.currencies; } } List<KeyValuePair> deliverMethods; public ICollection<KeyValuePair> DeliveryMethods { get { if (this.deliverMethods == null) this.deliverMethods = new List<KeyValuePair>(); return this.deliverMethods; } } } This view model is embedded in another view model: public class BasketAndOrderSearchViewModel { public BasketAndOrderSearchCriteriaViewModel Criteria { [System.Diagnostics.DebuggerStepThrough] get { return this.criteria; } } } I use 2 action methods; one is for the GET and the other for POST: [HttpGet] public ActionResult Search(BasketAndOrderSearchViewModel model){...} [HttpPost] public ActionResult SubmitSearch(BasketAndOrderSearchViewModel model){...} In the view I implement the whole view model by using the EditorFor-Html Helper which does not want to automatically display DropDownLists for List properties! 1. Question: How can you let EditorFor display DropDownLists? Since I could not figure out how to display DropDownLists by using EditorFor, I used the DropDownList Html helper and filled it through the view model as follows: public IEnumerable<SelectListItem> DeliveryMethodAsSelectListItem() { List<SelectListItem> list = new List<SelectListItem>(); list.Add(new SelectListItem() { Selected = true, Text = "<Choose Delivery method>", Value = "0" }); foreach (var item in this.DeliveryMethods) { list.Add(new SelectListItem() { Selected = false, Text = item.Value, Value = item.Key }); } return list; } My 2. question: As you can see I pass my view model to the action metho with POST attribute! Is there a way to get the selected value of a DropDownList get binded to the passed view model? At the moment all the DropDownList are empty and the selected value can only be fetched by the Request.Form which I definitely want to avoid! I would greatly appreciate some ideas or tips on this!

  • Can you recommend an alternative for NCover?

    - by Keith
I'm looking for a good .Net code coverage alternative to NCover (insufficient .Net 3.5 coverage and now pay-for) or VSTS (way too expensive). We currently test with NUnit, but could switch to something with a similar 'layout' for its text fixtures if it were better integrated.

  • Adding ComboBoxItem to a combobox inside a user control (XAML/WPF)

    - by byte
I am currently learning to create custom controls in WPF. I successfully created a simple custom control using a Label and a Text Box. I was able to allow setting the Label text by DependencyProperty. Now I am creating a user control that has a ComboBox. I need to allow adding items to this ComboBox from outside the control. To achieve this, I tried exposing a DependencyProperty of type ItemsCollection and it will allows access to the ComboBox's Items property (the DP in my control sample is named 'CbItems'). But I get errors because Items property of Combobox is ReadOnly. Control XAML <UserControl x:Class="MyWpfApp.Controls.MyControl" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Height="Auto" Width="Auto"> <Grid> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition /> <ColumnDefinition /> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <Label Grid.Column="0" Content="{Binding FieldLabel}"></Label> <ComboBox Name="cmb" Grid.Column="1" Width="150"></ComboBox> </Grid> </UserControl> MainWindow XAML <Window x:Class="MyWpfApp.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" xmlns:ctl="clr-namespace:MyWpfApp.Controls" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300"> <Grid> <ctl:MyControl> <ctl:MyControl.CbItems> <ComboBoxItem>Hello</ComboBoxItem> <ComboBoxItem>World</ComboBoxItem> <ComboBoxItem>Hi</ComboBoxItem> </ctl:LobCombox.CbItems> </ctl:LobCombox> </Grid> </Window> I would like to know what the correct way is to achieve this functionality. I believe the answer to this might also help with other controls like GridView etc Many Thanks

  • SHBrowseForFolder, But With Textbox to Navigate

    - by Emtucifor
I found all the code I need to make SHBrowseForFolder work in my application. But I hate that it forces you to do everything in the little folder window, without a text box to navigate by typing. In Windows, I know I commonly see a different folder browse dialog that does let me type folder names and use the other regular navigation keys to get around to select the desired folder (backspace, "..", Enter, and so on). Is there a different API call for that?

  • Is it possible to programatically catch JavaScript SyntaxErrors?

    - by Matty
I don't think that this is doable, but wanted to throw it out to the community to confirm my suspicions. Let's say you're writing a program in another language like Python, PHP, or ASP. This program is intended to build another program written in JavaScript. However, the first program is unfortunately not immune to errors. So, occasionally, the program which builds the JavaScript program does some funky stuff and outputs a syntax error in the JavaScript source. Now some user goes and loads the program and it essentially halts, because the web browser running it can't properly parse the JavaScript. This user is probably not going to be happy. I wouldn't be. This brings me to my question. Is it possible to write an error handler that would catch these kind of syntax problems allowing the application to fail gracefully? Here's an example: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> window.onerror = errorHandler; function errorHandler(a,b,c) { alert('horray! No wait, Booo!'); } vara jfs; </script> </head> <body> Can this be done? </body> </html> or <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> try { vara jfs; } catch (e) { alert('horray! No wait, Booo!'); } </script> </head> <body> Can this be done? </body> </html>
