Reverse Bredth First Search in C#

Anyone has a ready implementation of the Reverse Bredth First Search algorithm in C#? By Reverse Bredth First Search, I mean instead of searching a tree starting from a common node, I want to search the tree from the bottom and gradually converged to a common node. Let's see the below figure, this is the output of a Bredth First Search: In my reverse bredth first search, 9,10,11 and 12 will be the first few nodes found ( the order of them are not important as they are all first order). 5, 6, 7 and 8 are the second few nodes found, and so on. 1 would be the last node found. Any ideas or pointers?

listview tile layout problem (vb.net)

hi guys, I have a listview which displays (eventually) an album cover of an itunes play list with the album name under it. the problem I am having is that I cannot get the album art (currently a blank square) ABOVE the album name. It always is on the side... how do I do it? Query is not complete. I'm hoping to use google maps on my site. My addresses are stored in a db. I’m pulling up a page where the information is all dynamic. For example: mysite.com/site/business/5 (where 5 is the id of the business). Structure of my asp: repeater repeater updatePanel label1 (rating) button (updates rating) some_picture (thing being rated) /update panel /repeater Imagine the output of the above repeater containing 100 rows. (1 label, and 1 button on each row). Goal: when I click the button, I want the appropriate label to be updated. I dont know how to do this. I can reference a label via: Label myLabel2Update = (Label)Repeater1.Controls[0].Controls[0].FindControl("Label1"); But ofcourse, it will be the same label each time (not necessarily the label that needs to be updated). I need to update the label that is on the same row as the button. Any guidance would be appreciated.

But the interviewer denied it. He said he'd give me a hint and said Virtual Function. I have no idea how to use that hint.

Changing the title of a MFMailComposeViewController

Although i know changing MFMailComposeViewController is fround upon, i'm taking a risk. I found some ideas such as [self presentModalViewController:controller animated:YES]; // Existing line [[[[controller viewControllers] lastObject] navigationItem] setTitle:@"SomethingElse"]; and [[[[(MFMailComposeViewController*)vc navigationBar] items] objectAtIndex:0] setTitle:@" SomethingElse"]; but the odd thing is that the title is "SomethingElse" for like 2 seconds and after that it returns to the subject that is set. I've tried other solutions as well but the same output. I am using SHK (ShareKit) to connect to social. Lexing newlines in scala StdLexical?

I'm trying to lex (then parse) a C like language. In C there are preprocessor directives where line breaks are significant, then the actual code where they are just whitespace. One way of doing this would be do a two pass process like early C compilers - have a separate preprocessor for the # directives, then lex the output of that. However, I wondered if it was possible to do it in a single lexer. I'm pretty happy with writing the scala parser-combinator code, but I'm not so sure of how StdLexical handles whitespace. Could someone write some simple sample code which say could lex a #include line (using the newline) and some trivial code (ignoring the newline)? Or is this not possible, and it is better to go with the 2-pass appproach?

How do I maximize a function in Mathematica which takes in a variable length list as input?

I have a time-series like function which gives an output based on a list of real numbers(i.e. you can run the function on a list of 1,2,3,... real numbers). The issue I'm encountering is how to maximize the function for a given list length(subject to a set of constraints). I could fix the function to a fixed number of real numbers(i.e. f [x_Real, y_Real] instead of f[x_List]) and treat x and y as the first two elements of the list, and call Maximize on the function, but this is not really elegant. I want to be able to easily change the number of elements in the list. What is the best way to optimize a function like I described, which takes a list as an argument, for a fixed list length?

Java Box Class: Unsolvable: aligning components to the left or right

I have been trying to left align buttons contained in a Box to the left, with no success. They align left alright, but for some reason dont shift all the way left as one would imagine. How to analyse contents of binary serialization stream?

I'm using binary serialization (BinaryFormatter) as a temporary mechanism to store state information in a file for a relatively complex (game) object structure; the files are coming out much larger than I expect, and my data structure includes recursive references - so I'm wondering whether the BinaryFormatter is actually storing multiple copies of the same objects, or whether my basic "number of objects and values I should have" arithmentic is way off-base, or where else the excessive size is coming from. Searching on stack overflow I was able to find the specification for Microsoft's binary remoting format: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc236844(PROT.10).aspx What I can't find is any existing viewer that enables you to "peek" into the contents of a binaryformatter output file - get object counts and total bytes for different object types in the file, etc; I feel like this must be my "google-fu" failing me (what little I have) - can anyone help? This must have been done before, right??

I'm using crystal reports to build reports, everything is ok while development. But after deployment of website, print functionality doesn't work. I use _rptDocument.PrintToPrinter(1, false, 0, 0); to print report. I've tried two methods to deploy website Normal Publish option. Web Deployment Project. But I got the same output, print functionality doesn't work. Also, I tried to set default printer, this also doesn't work. Any ideas?

How can I detect 'any' ajax request being completed using jQuery?

I have a page where I can insert some javascript / jquery to manipulate the output. I don't have any other control over the page markup etc. I need to add an extra element via jquery after each present on the page. The issue is that the elements are generated via an asynchronous call on the existing page which occurs after $(document).ready is complete. Essentially, I need a way of calling my jquery after the page has loaded and the subsequent ajax calls have completed. Is there a way to detect the completion of any ajax call on the page and then call my own custom function to insert the additional elements after the newly created s ?

I'm trying to create pagination for search results using MySQL and ColdFusion. My intention is to only retrieve the queries that can be displayed on a single page, thus making the process efficient. I tried using two queries in my function, but I could not return two variables to the cfinvoke. I would like to build a Connect 4 engine which works using an artificial neural network - just because I'm fascinated by ANNs. I'be created the following draft of the ANN structure. Would it work? And are these connections right (even the cross ones)? Could you help me to draft up an UML class diagram for this ANN? I want to give the board representation to the ANN as its input. And the output should be the move to chose. The learning should later be done using backpropagation and the sigmoid function should be applied. The engine will play against human players. And depending on the result of the game, the weights should be adjusted then.

MS-Access 2007 Runtime SendObject Crash

I have programmed an Access Database program using Access 2007. I have a button that points to the event: DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport to have it email a PDF report (acFormatPDF). Everything works fine in the normal Access 2007 program, but when a user opens the program with Access 2007 Runtime, when clicking on this button it goes through the normal steps (notifying Outlook, waiting for Allow/Deny clearance), and then after you click Allow, the program crashes with a Runtime Error. Does anybody know what is going on here? Is this a normal error with Access Runtime? I have tried other file formats (RTF and XLS) instead of PDF, but it seems to be the SendObject command that is crashing the Runtime Environment? Clarification: Access Runtime does not output an error code upon this crash. Just a window stating a "runtime error has occurred".

Java library for converting Word documents to PDFs or images

Hey there What I need to do is convert Microsoft Word .doc files to PDFs or images. This has to occur in Java. I have done a fair bit of investigation already. I've tried Davisor Publishor but it doesn't give me the accuracy that I need - for instance text overlapping in the output document. Adobe has something called LiveCycle. Anyone tried this? It looks quite massive and a bit of overkill (its an "integrated server solution"). Sounds expensive. Saying that, it doesn't have to be free, or cheap. Even if you just know some names, please shout them my way. Many thanks in advance. Doug
