  • In CodeIgniter, how to clear "form data" after redirecting page

    I'm not sure I explained it correctly in the question title, so here's the details: Login controller: function authenticate() { if ( authorized ) { redirect('lobby'); } else { redirect('login'); } } Lobby controller: function index() { //load lobby view } What happens is that in the login page, I enter user / pass, click Login, then authenticate() is called, and redirects me to the Lobby. However, when I click refresh while on the Lobby, the login form gets submitted again, so I get "logged in" again. How do I prevent that from happening?

    I have a jQuery AJAX call with type:'GET' like this: $.ajax({type:'GET',url:'/createUser',data:"userId=12345&userName=test"}, success:function(data){ alert('successful'); } ); In my console output is: GET:http://sample.com/createUser?userId=12345&userName=test params: userId 12345 userName test In my script i should get the value using $_GET['userId'] and $_GET['userName'] but i can't get the value passed in by ajax request using GET method.   • [Symfony 1.2: ckWebServicePlugin 3.0.0] Module name in SOAP requests, how to get rid of them?

    When I generate a WSDL file with ./symfony webservice:generate-wsdl (where is 'frontend', is 'soap' and is 'http://localhost ') I get a nice soap.wsdl file which works like it should. Except, the methods are not named 'justAMethod' but 'soapService_justAMethod' (where soapService is the module which holds the SOAP methods). How do I omit the module name in the SOAP method names? I know this is possible since the previous release of the software had no module name in the SOAP method names.

  • Update "Properties" model when adding a new record in CakePHP

    Hi, I'm writing an application in CakePHP that, for now, is to be used to make quotes for customers. So Quote is a model. I want to have a separate model/table for something like "Property," which may be used by other models. Each time a user gets to the "Add Quote" action, I basically want to pull a Property called "nextQuoteNumber" or something along those lines, and then automatically increment that property, even if the new Quote isn't saved. So I don't think just using an autoincrement for Quote's id is appropriate here - also, the "quote number" could be different from the row's id. I know this is simple enough to do, but I'm trying to figure out the "proper" CakePHP way of doing it! I'm thinking that I should have a method inside the Property model, say "getProperty($property_name)", which would pull the value to return, and also increment the value... but I'm not sure what the best way of doing that is, or how to invoke this method from the Quotes controller.     I'm trying to learn Drupal 6. I want to register the path '/topic' to a MENU_CALLBACK using hook_menu(). But when I visit the path as an anonymous user it shows 'Access Denied' message. What must be the 'access callback' and 'access arguments' values to have this accessible to all visitors? I remember I made this work by simply saying 'access' => TRUE in Drupal 5. No longer works in Drupal 6.

  • First site going live real soon. Last minute questions

    I am really close to finishing up on a project that I've been working on. I have done websites before, but never on my own and never a site that involved user generated data. I have been reading up on things that should be considered before you go live and I have some questions. 1) Staging... (Deploying updates without affecting users). I'm not really sure what this would entail, since I'm sure that any type of update would affect users in some way. Does this mean some type of temporary downtime for every update? can somebody please explain this and a solution to this as well. 2) Limits... I'm using the Kohana framework and I'm using the Auth module for logging users in. I was wondering if this already has some type of limit (on login attempts) built in, and if not, what would be the best way to implement this. (save attempts in database, cookie, etc.). If this is not whats meant by limits, can somebody elaborate. 3) Caching... Like I said, this is my first site built around user content. Considering that, should I cache it? 4) Back Ups... How often should I backup my (MySQL) database, and how should I back it up (MySQL export?). The site is currently up, yet not finished, if anybody wants to look at it and see if something pops out to you that should be looked at/fixed. Clashing Thoughts.     I am using phpmyadmin for using the mysqldump query, but as per my requirement i have to create a new database which is clone of the previous one, now in this case when i import the main DB it contain all the trigger information as well with the DB name mentioned in it.. As i import this DB to new one my triggers get imported as well but the trigger_schema are not changed as per new DB.. What could be done to get resolve this problem?

What am I doing wrong?

    Hi, We're starting a new project using the Zend Framework, because the ideas and expandability speaks to us. But now I'm wondering, should we first get some form of Zend Certification before starting with the Zend Framework? Will we miss fundamental yet basic groundrules if we just start "hacking away" using the Zend Framework? I don't want to see us have to redo (part of) the project, because we missed some vital guidelines from the beginning, forcing us to rewrite our code. If possible, I'd love to hear stories of others having used the Zend Framework, without certification, to see what limitations they ran accross.

  • IE6 Not submitting POST Data?!

    Hello all, I have just tested my site on an old IE6 browser on a windows server. The problem I have is when I submit a form, the POST data I get on the other page is empty. Array(). This site has worked on IE6 on a different windows server, it has worked on my laptop and works on all other major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, IE6,7,8, Safari) etc. Its just this one machine. Is there a setting not to allow post data on IE6? Thanks all

  • writing CMS in ZEND

    Hello guys, I'm trying to write my own CMS using Zend framework and I created modular structure. I have modules like 'news', 'blog' and etc. Also I have "admin" module which has different layout and this is like the administrator panel where admin can edit all the content and etc. But the problem is that I'm looking for the best practice and solution to solve the problem. I don't like the idea that my admin module will have a lot of controllers which will be for administer all the other modules. So I want to ask you all, maybe you have some tuts or just have an advice how to implement admin module separated from other modules as much as it can be done. Because I just want to copy one module for example from one project to another and I want it will work same. I don't want to search the right admin controller, view or something like this in admin module and copy this part seperatelly into new admin module. Hope the question and situation is clear enough and I will be happy to hear any advice or see any tutorials how to do it. Thanks guys!
