I've subclassed MKAnnotation so that i can assign objects to annotations and then assign this object to a view controller like so:
- (void)mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView annotationView:(MKAnnotationView *)view calloutAccessoryControlTapped:(UIControl *)control {
PlaceDetailView *detailView = [[PlaceDetailView alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStyleGrouped];
detailView.place = [view.annotation place];
[self.navigationController pushViewController:detailView animated:YES];
[detailView release];
}
This is working great but i'm having the following issues:
If i try and access the place getter method like so view.annotation.place i recieve an error:
Accessing unknown place getter method
If i acces the place getter method like so [view.annotation place] i receive a warning:
place not found in protocol
From my understanding this is because the place object is not defined in the MKAnnotation protocol, although i'm aware of this i'm not sure how to tell the complier that place does exist and it's not calling it blind.
Hi. This question isn't about popping up an iframe inside a Lightbox; rather, it's about an iframe on a page that can launch its own Lightbox-style box in the page that contains that iframe. I'm thinking this can't be possible, because the iframe contains the contents of the other URL and whatever Lightbox that URL launches has to fit within the iframe. Thanks.
I was looking at the metadata for System.Web.Configuration.CompilationSection, and noticed the following attribute on the TimeSpan BatchTimeout property:
[TimeSpanValidator(MinValueString = "00:00:00",
MaxValueString = "10675199.02:48:05.4775807")]
Could someone explain why this is the allowed max value? TimeSpan itself has an upper limit, so why would there be another value validation, and why this number?
I'm getting really desperate trying to add a UIImageView to UITableViewCell.backgroundView. All my efforts have resulted in this crappy rendering:
It looks like the cell's label's white background is sitting on top of cell's background and covering portions of it.
I tried setting the label's background color to clear, or some other color and it does not have any event. It is always white.
The reason I know it's the text label's background causing this white area is that if I don't do [cell setText:@"Cell text here"]; the white area is gone and I see just the cell's background image.
Here's the code that I'm using. The table view is added in the .xib file and UITableView is added to UIViewController:
- (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView {
return 1;
}
- (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section {
return [myCollection.items count];
}
- (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
NSUInteger rowIndex = indexPath.row;
static NSString *CellIdentifier = @"Cell";
UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:CellIdentifier];
if (cell == nil) {
cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease];
cell.backgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"darkCellBackground.png"]];
cell.selectedBackgroundView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"darkCellBackground.png"]];
}
[cell setText:@"Cell text here"];
return cell;
}
- (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
// Navigation logic may go here. Create and push another view controller.
// AnotherViewController *anotherViewController = [[AnotherViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"AnotherView" bundle:nil];
// [self.navigationController pushViewController:anotherViewController];
// [anotherViewController release];
[tableView deselectRowAtIndexPath:indexPath animated:YES];
}
- (BOOL)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView canEditRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath {
return NO;
}
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but cant quite figure out what.
Hey all,
I'm practicing Jquery and I've written this simple Jquery statement:
var someText = $("table tr td").text();
Should this not return all text of td elements found within tr's that are found within tables? How do I fix this? Currently when I run this, it says that table tr td is null, but I have a table on the page I'm testing on.
Thanks!
I'm displaying a popup menu using TrackPopupMenu and would like to know when it is dismissed via clicking outside of it. I've looked through all the menu functions but didn't find anything useful in this regard. Spy++ told me that no window message is sent in this case.
So, is there an easy way to do it without installing a mouse hook? Thanks!
I have 2 projects. First project need to include second. When I copy sources from second project to first I need to modify manually import path to R.java file.
The problem is that I need to use SVN external link connection between this 2 projects, that is mean, one project (the bigger one) will take sources from another through svn and should be able to use it without any modifications.
If I would be able to specify R.java file path anywhere in project properties it will resolve my problem by changing manually that path.
Need to specify that package name of these 2 projects are different.
Another solution to resolve this problem also would be accepted.
Thank you.
Hello all!
I have an array and variable.
If the variable does not exist in the array it has to be added, otherwise it has to be removed.
Why the following code does not work?
$ar = ["a","b","c"];
$vr = "b";
foreach ($ar as $i => $value) {
if ($value == $vr) {
unset ($ar[$i]);
} else {
$ar[] = $vr;
$ar = array_unique($ar);
}
}
Thanks.
I have seen this but can't work out how to apply it (no pun intended) to my situation.
I have a sorted list of maps like this: (note there can be more than two keys in the map)
({name1 3, name2 7}, {name1 35, name2 7}, {name1 0, name2 3})
What I am after is this data structure afterwards:
({:name1 [3,35,0]}, {:name2 [7,7,3]})
Ive been struggling with this for a while and cant seem to get anywhere near.
Caveats: The data must stay sorted and I have N keywords not just two.
Is there a standard way of sending floating point values from a child process to a parent process in C.
I have a some calculations where I want to fork a process, then have the child do some busy work, the parent do something else, and then the child send its values (which are doubles) back to the parent (presumably through a pipe). Clearly the parent could parse the stream, but I'm just wondering if there's a cleaner way?
Originally I though I'll just take a screenshot of my app on the iPhone then tweak it in Photoshop.
The images should be 480 x 320 according to Apple doc, and the dimensions of my screenshot are 480 x 320. But, the screenshot contains notification area (where reception bars, battery life, etc. are displayed)
So, if I chop that part off my image will be a bit shorter and not 480px high.
What do I do? Submit a shorter image? Stretch it up so it's 480px but without the notification bar? Submit it with the notification bar in the image?
How did you create your Default.png?
In R, what is the most efficient way to count the length between 2 values. for example, i have vector x , which are all randomly choose from 1 to 100, how can i find out the length between the first"2" and first"40",
x=(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,40,1,2,3,21,4,1,23,4,43,23,4,12,3,43,5,36,3,45,12,31,3,4,23,41,23,5,53,45,3,7,6,36)
for this vector, the answer should be 5 and 6
I'm implementing a checking system in Ruby. It runs executables with different tests. If the solution is not correct, it can take forever for it to finish with certain hard tests. That's why I want to limit the execution time to 5 seconds.
I'm using system() function to run executables:
system("./solution");
.NET has a great WaitForExit() method, what about Ruby?.
Is there a way to limit external process' execution time to 5 seconds?
Thanks
I'm a real newbie to java, so please excuse me if this is a hopelessly straightforward problem.
I have the following from my java game server:
// Get input from the client
DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream (server.getInputStream());
PrintStream out = new PrintStream(server.getOutputStream());
disconnect=false;
while((line = in.readLine().trim()) != null && !line.equals(".") && !line.equals("") && !disconnect) {
System.out.println("Received "+line);
if(line.equals("h")){
out.println("h"+EOF); // Client handshake
System.out.println("Matched 1");
}else if (line.equals("<policy-file-request/>")) {
out.println("..."+EOF); // Policy file
System.out.println(server.getInetAddress()+": Policy Request");
disconnect=true;
System.out.println("Matched 2");
}else if(line.substring(0,3).equals("GET")||line.substring(0,4).equals("POST")){
out.println("HTTP/1.0 200 OK\nServer: VirtuaRoom v0.9\nContent-Type: text/html\n\n..."); // HTML status page
disconnect=true;
System.out.println("Matched 3");
} else {
System.out.println(server.getInetAddress()+": Unknown command, client disconnected.");
disconnect=true;
System.out.println("Matched else");
}
}
server.close();
First of all, the client sends an "h" packet, and expects the same back (handshake). However, I want it to disconnect the client when an unrecognised packet is received. For some reason, it responds fine to the handshake and HTML status request, but the else clause is never executed when there's an unknown packet.
Thanks
Essentially, I just want to change the home button from just hiding my app to killing the activity that is on the screen.
I thought about writing a broadcast receiver that kills the activity, but I'm not sure how to kill the activity from the receiver.
How do I change the functionality of the home button to "finish" the specific activity?
Thanks
So I have a managed AlertDialog with a number of EditTexts & separate portrait + landscape layouts. The user opens the dialog in portrait mode, enters some text and then all of a sudden decides to pop out the keyboard. Now, I need to remove the dialog and recreate it for the changed layout persisting the text entered.
What I can think of is getting references to the EdiTexts in onPrepareDialog(..), then getting the actual text in onConfigurationChanged(..), then removing the dialog, then showing it again, then populating it. Rather ugly, huh?
Are there any better options?
I'm trying to bind a param to a join via a named scope., but I'm getting an error.
What is the correct way to do that?
has_one :has_voted, :class_name => 'Vote', :conditions => ['ip = :userIp']
# named scopes
scope :with_vote, lambda {|ip| {
:include => [:has_voted],
# like this ??
:conditions => [:has_voted => {:conditions => {:userIp => ip}} ]
}}
Idea.with_vote(request.ip).all
I believe I need the condition definition in the model for it to appear in the ON clause of a JOIN, rather then in the WHERE one.
Edit I'm trying to get the following query
select Ideas.*, Votes.* from Ideas
left outer join Votes
on Votes.Idea_id = Idea.id AND Votes.ip = {request.ip}
What I'd like is a method to convert a double to a string which rounds using the half-up method. I.e. if the decimal to be rounded is a 5, it always rounds up the previous number. This is the standard method of rounding most people expect in most situations.
I also would like only significant digits to be displayed. That is there should not be any trailing zeroes.
I know one method of doing this is to use the String.format method:
String.format("%.5g%n", 0.912385);
returns:
0.91239
which is great, however it always displays numbers with 5 decimal places even if they are not significant:
String.format("%.5g%n", 0.912300);
returns:
0.91230
Another method is to use the DecimalFormatter:
DecimalFormat df = new DecimalFormat("#.#####");
df.format(0.912385);
returns:
0.91238
However as you can see this uses half-even rounding. That is it will round down if the previous digit is even. What I'd like is this:
0.912385 -> 0.91239
0.912300 -> 0.9123
What is the best way to achieve this in Java?
`*the midvile park maintains records containing info about players on it's soccer teams . each record contain a players first name,last name,and team number . the team are

Hi all, would the following Jquery selector get all of the 4th td elements of all the tables on the current page, and return their text as an array?:
var isbn = $.makeArray($("table tr td:nth-child(4)").text());
Using stat_smooth, I can fit models to data. E.g.
g=ggplot(tips,aes(x=tip,y=as.numeric(unclass(factor(tips$sex))-1))) +facet_grid(time~.)
g=g+ stat_summary(fun.y=mean,geom="point")
g=g+ stat_smooth(method="glm", family="binomial")
I would like to know the coefficients of the glm binomial fits. I could re-do the fit with dlply and get the coefficients with ldply, but I'd like to avoid such duplication.
Calling str(g) reveals the hierarchy of objects that ggplot creates, perhaps there's some way to get to the coefficients through that?
