  • JSF trimming white spaces

    HI, I have an input field in which I want to trim any leading/trailing whitespaces. We are using JSF and binding the input field to a backing bean in the jsp using: <h:inputText id="inputSN" value="#{regBean.inputSN}" maxlength="10"/> My question is that besides validation can this be done in the jsp? I know we can also do this using the trim() java function in the Handler, but just wondering if there is a more elegant way to achieve this in JSF. Thanks.

    In my C# app, even I handle exception : Application.SetUnhandledExceptionMode(UnhandledExceptionMode.CatchException); AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException += new UnhandledExceptionEventHandler(CurrentDomain_UnhandledException); and then in handler showing dialog box and doing Application.Exit still getting windows error reporting dialog with Send, Don't Dend... How to prevent windows error reporting dialog from popping up?

    I´ve made a "main" class lets call it A(Veichle), and i have two classes that inherits from A Lets call them B(Car) and C(MC). i also have a handler lets call it "D" that binds A,B and C. Then i have the Form1 class lets call that E(Visual) I want to print out the private members from A on the visual form "E" in a Listbox If i try ex) this-listbox1-items-add(X.veichles[i]-getBrand()); it complains that veichles is a private member in D. How can i get around that?

  • Adobe Reader process fails when starting second instance

    In our C# WinForms application, we generate PDF files and launch Adobe Reader (or whatever the default system .pdf handler is) via the Process class. Since our PDF files can be large (approx 200K), we handle the Exited event to then clean up the temp file afterwards. The system works as required when a file is opened and then closed again. However, when a second file is opened (before closing Adobe Reader) the second process immediately exits (since Reader is now using it's MDI powers) and in our Exited handler our File.Delete call should fail because it's locked by the now joined Adobe process. However, in Reader we instead get: There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found. The unusual thing is that if I put a debugger breakpoint before the file deletion and allow it to attempt (and fail) the deletion, then the system behaves as expected! I'm positive that the file exists and fairly positive that all handles/file streams to the file are closed before starting the process.   • Scriptaculous Drag: How do I offset the dragging element?

    This is an age old problem - but now I'm using scriptaculous its come back to haunt me. When dragging a tree node over other tree nodes I want mouseover to fire for each node. So I want to position the dragging thing so that its top-left is slightly offset from the mousepointer I could reposition constantly in the onDrag handler but this is jerky and slow can anyone help? - thanks

    Hi all, In general, it seems that the majority of times that ConnectionDroppedHandler would get called in an OCS server application is for expected reasons e.g. server application has been unregistered, server is shutting down, etc. Are there any unexpected situations in which ConnectionDroppedHandler can be called? Basically, i'm wondering whether it will ever be necessary to log an error to the event log from this event handler. Many thanks, Paul

    There is a mouseUpEvent listener attached to the stage, while dragging the movieClip the mouseUpEvent doesnot trigger the handler somehow the mouseUp gets lost. While the item is being dragged and the mouse is moved away from the movieClip i.e somewhere not on the item but on the stage the mouseUp is detected. Any ideas!!

  • How to save data between calls to a IHttpHandler?

    I have a IHttpHandler that acts as a source to a jQuery Autocomplete input field. In the constructor of the handler I generate an index that remains fairly static between request (needs to be rebuilt maybe once a day). How can I cache the the index between calls? Debugging indicates that the constructor is called for each request. I've set IsReusable to "false".
