If I do Address.update(15, :user_name => 'Samuel') it corresponds to UPDATE addresses set user_name = 'Samuel' where id = 15 but what if i want to do: UPDATE addresses set user_name = 'Samuel' where cid = 15 what will be the ActiveRecord equivalent of that?? I tried: Address.update({:cid => 15}, :user_name => 'Samuel') but that does not work.

  I'm looking for a way to map some hot-keys to "delete the line that my cursor is on" in Xcode. I found "delete to end of line" and "delete to beginning of line" in the text key bindings, but I am missing how to completely delete the line no matter what I have selected. TextMate has this functionality mapped to Ctrl+Shift+D and I'd like the same thing if possible. Any ideas?

The problem is, I've been doing this by adding the [Association] attribute in the DBML file (same as through the designer), which will get erased again after I refresh my database (and reload the entire table structure). I know that there is the MyData.cs file (as part of the DBML) in which I can place my partial extensions etc. to domain objects (to persist even after I refresh the DBML), but I don't know how to create an association there?

To prevent duplicates in the table, I'd like to create a NSDictionary using the files full path as keys for another NSDictionary which contains all the file information, but I am a little concerned about the maximum key length of NSDictionary, and also whether this solution would be performance killer or not...
