I have declared a DataTemplate in Window.Resources; I don't intend to use it inside an ItemsControl, but rather just use it as a user control. How do I put it on a form?

Can I dynamically ensure that the content always remains centered in the window pane on this website?
Right now it uses a static margin-left on the .items class, and it uses jquery tools.

Can I do it in just CSS or CSS and Javascript?

Hi,
i am trying to develop a window form using c# with asp.net 3.5 framework.
in that form i want to insert emoticons as we found in yahoo, hotmail etc messenger.
can anyone tell me how i can implement that thing as it is done in messenger.
please help me.
I need a QDialog to send a signal to redraw the main window.
But connect needs an object to connect to.
So I must create each dialog with new and explicitly put a connect() every time.
What I really need is a way of just sending MainWindow::Redraw() from inside any function and having a single connect() inside Mainwindow to receive them.
But you can't make a signal static and dialogs obviously don't inherit from MainWindow.
in php

There are a few buttons associated with the Output window in Visual Studio (VS2005/2008/2010). One of them is "Clear All Panes".
How can I install an event handler that's called when that button is clicked?
I'm building a Visual Studio extensibility package, working in C#.
Hi All.

I'm curious if there is anyone around here that has inside information on the implementation details of window properties (SetProp, GetProp, etc.) in Windows.
SetProp @ MSDN
GetProp @ MSDN
For instance, how are storage and lookups done?
I have a UserControl which has a style, that i would like to be influenced by a settings checkbox on the main window hosting my user control
so myControl.xaml has a Style which i would like to have a trigger, that should observe a CheckBox inside MainWindow.xaml
i know one way to do this, would be to create a local property in myControl.cs which would look at the property in MainWindow.cs which would in turn return state of that cheeckbox.. but maybe there is a way to do this w/out writing any c# code ?
Is it possible to automatically detect if Window Server 2003 has SP2 installed?
I'm working in InstallShield 9 install script, so I suppose I need to check some registry key?
Using a EM_SETEVENTMASK message can set which notifications a rich edit control sends to its parent window. How can I intercept/be notified of these messages?
Ideally, I'd have a callback that I could register with certain notifications.
I'm working on a website layout you can find at dev.movingcost.com
In most browsers, everything seems fine... but I'm getting a horizontal scroll bar on the window when viewing the page in IE.
I'm using a fixed width of 960px with auto margins to center the content. I've even tried using "overflow-x:hidden" on the html and body tags to no avail... any clue where the problem is?
When I load up my MFC C++ app in VS2005, the IDE always defaults to the command window. How do I make it switch to the Output or Immediate windows by default?
Ok, first off, I didn't program this page with frames! I'll be getting rid of them later. For now I need to solve this problem.
There's a link within a frame. Instead of that link just changing the contents of the frame, I need it to change the URL of the entire window. How can I do this?
Thanks for any help
I'm using the example here. If there isn't a value for the key, my application returns -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: attempt to insert nil in the console, and my window doesn't show up. How could I preform a check to make sure this doesn't happen?
Hello,
we have an web-application built in flash (it's actually just getting built :D) where is very important to be notified, when user closes his window.
Since it's in flash, we do not worry about Javascript, we do not support non-javascript users.
What is the safest (meaning it's 100% sure it gets called) X-browser way to call php script to close session, make some db changes, etc.?
Thank you
Is there a way to display the path of the solution in the Visual Studio window's name?
By default it displays (SolutionName) - Microsoft Visual Studio, I would like it to instead show something like (SolutionName) - (PathToSolution) - Microsoft Visual Studio.
The reason behind this is I can have multiple versions of a project checked out at a time (staging and trunk for example) and I'd like a quick way of checking without going through prompts etc.
I would like to make an application in a one window using XAML.
It should be like a slideshow with next and back button. One idea is to make 4 panels and have just one enable at the time. Is there any other way to do this? Like dynamic loading of other XAML?
is it the BackgroundWorker mandatory to use with WPF (hence is DirectX rendered there's almost no GUI lags) ?
I've seen things like this and I was wondering if this was possible, say I run my application
and it will show the render on whatever is below it.
So basically, rendering on the screen without a window.
Possible or a lie?
Note: Want to do this on windows and in c++.
I'm coding a application using C# to embed textbox to Taskbar as below picture:

I downloaded Window API code pack and view some example but I still don't know how to perform my scenario.
Anyone help me for a solution or article (I searched Google but didn't find any article).
Thanks a lot !
I want that the user shouldn't be able to resize the window form. I was able to disable the maximize button but wasn't able to find any property to disable resizing.
Any help?
