  I need a QDialog to send a signal to redraw the main window. But connect needs an object to connect to. So I must create each dialog with new and explicitly put a connect() every time. What I really need is a way of just sending MainWindow::Redraw() from inside any function and having a single connect() inside Mainwindow to receive them. But you can't make a signal static and dialogs obviously don't inherit from MainWindow.

  I have a UserControl which has a style, that i would like to be influenced by a settings checkbox on the main window hosting my user control so myControl.xaml has a Style which i would like to have a trigger, that should observe a CheckBox inside MainWindow.xaml i know one way to do this, would be to create a local property in myControl.cs which would look at the property in MainWindow.cs which would in turn return state of that cheeckbox.. but maybe there is a way to do this w/out writing any c# code ?

  Is there a way to display the path of the solution in the Visual Studio window's name? By default it displays (SolutionName) - Microsoft Visual Studio, I would like it to instead show something like (SolutionName) - (PathToSolution) - Microsoft Visual Studio.
