    Is there a way I can limit the width of a textbox to be equal to the MaxLength property? In my case right now, the textbox control is placed in a table cell as in this snippet: <td class=TDSmallerBold style="width:90%"> <asp:textbox id="txtTitle" runat="server" CausesValidation="true" Text="Type a title here..be concise but descriptive. Include price." ToolTip="Describe the item with a short pithy title (most important keywords first). Include the price.     There are lots of questions about how to force the browser to cache or not to cache any image. But, I am facing slightly different situation. In several places of my web page, I am using following code for the images. <img title="<%= Html.Encode(Model.title)%>" src="<%= Url.Action(MVC.FrontEnd.Actions.RetrieveImage(Model.SystemId))%>"/> So, in the generated HTML it is like <img title="blahblah" src="http://xyz.com/FrontEnd/Actions/RetrieveImage?imageId=X"> Where X is some integer. I have seen that though the browser (IE or Mozilla) caches images by default, it is not caching images generated by above method. Is there any way I can tell browser to cache images of above type?   • jQuery Selectors: how to access an a tag, whose span has a specific class?

    I'm messing around with FullCalendar jQuery calendar, and qTips, so that I can display more information about the event upon mouseover. I've added a summary element to the FullCalendar js, and also my server code. I then added a new qTip in the eventMouseover method, based on the span class, which works prefectly. However, if the event stretches over a couple of days, the qTip only works (because it is a span tag), on the text itself, not the entire blue strip. What I want to do is to assign the qTip to the a tag, and make the a tags display block. This works currently: eventMouseover: function(event){ $('span[class=fc-event-title]').each(function() { if( $(this).text() == event.title ) { $(this).qtip({ content: event.summary, style: { border: { width: 1, radius: 5, color: '#6699CC' }, width: 200 } }); } }); but I can't figure out how to select the a tag where it contains a span with class of fc-event-title.     Hi guys, I have a small UIView that displays a repeated movie. When the user taps a button another movie is loaded and displayed in the same UIView. The problem is that there is a half second "flash" between the removing of the first movie and the displaying of the second.     I am interested in suggestions for building an efficient and robust structure for indexing products in a new database I am building (i'm using MySql) When a product is entered through the form there are three parts I am interested in indexing for searching purposes. The product title The product description Tags The most important is title, followed by tags, followed by the description. I was thinking of using the following structure CREATE TABLE `searchindex` ( `id` INT NOT NULL , `word` VARCHAR( 255 ) NOT NULL , `weighting` INT NOT NULL , `product_id` INT NOT NULL , PRIMARY KEY ( `id` ) ) Then each time a product is created I would split apart the title, description and tags (removing common words) and award them a weighting. Then it is trivial to select out the words and corresponding products and order them by weighting. Is there a better way to do this? I would be worried that this strategy would slow down over time and as the database filled up.

    Hello, In my presentation, I use "\usetheme{Warsaw}" and in order to increase the usable space in each frame, I use "\useoutertheme{infolines}". In this way, the bar at the bottom of each page is equally divided between author's name, title, and date and slide number. Is there anyway to change the width of each section? For example, I need more space for the title compared to author's name or date. Any comment is highly appreciated. TABLE foldersA ( ID title ) TABLE foldersB ( ID title ) TABLE records ( ID folderID folderType title ) folderID in table "records" can point to ID in either "foldersA" or "foldersB" depending on the value of folderType. (0 or 1). I am wondering: Is there a way to create a CASCADE rule such that the appropriate rows in table records are automatically deleted when a row in either foldersA or folderB is deleted? Or in this situation, am I forced to have to delete the rows in table "records" programatically? Thanks for you help!

But I have a modal/popup box which has some elements also having ".elem_class" and these dont get in the scope of findAll/each as they are loaded into the dom thru ajax. How do I apply the same to dynamically loaded elements as well? I am using Prototype Library. (I have used JQuery's Live function which keeps track of all future elements, but need to achieve something similar using Prototype) Thanks.

    Hi, I'm trying to change Back Button tittle in a navigation controller in the following way: In the parent controller I put this in vieDidLoad: self.title = @"Calendars"; self.navigationItem.backBarButtonItem.title = @"Previous"; But this controller is in the stack since I initialized the app: -(void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application{ navController.viewControllers= [NSArray arrayWithObjects:aController,aBcontroller,nil]; [window addSubview:navController.view]; } So, the viewDidLoad in aController is not called until I select the back buttom the first time in the bController... Does anyone knows how to call viewDidLoad just when I push it into the stack? Or do you know another way to change the BackButtom title? Thanks in advanced for your help.

    Hey guys, I want to implement a class which can be used by two classes of my project. One is manipulating 'NewsRecord' objects. One is manipulating 'GalleriesRecord' objects. In another class, I may use one of the two objects so i do something like that : // header class id myNewsRecordOrGalleriesRecord; // class.m // NewsRecord and GalleriesRecord have both the title property NSLog(myNewsRecordOrGalleriesRecord.title); and i get : error : request for member 'title' in something not a structure or union any ideas :D ?   • Adding image to navigation bar

    I'd like an image to take up all of a navigation bar. This is the navigation that comes with a navigation based app. It appears on the RootViewController with the accompanying UITableView. I've seen some examples of how this might work. Set navigation bar title: UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:@"TableviewCellLightBlue.png"]; UIImageView *imageView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; [self.navigationController.navigationBar.topItem setTitleView:imageView]; The problem there is it only covers the title rather than the entire navigation bar. There is also this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9254241#9254241. Towards the end, the solution looks to use a tab bar, which I'm not using. It is that complicated to set a navigation bar background? Is there some other simpler technique? I'd like to have a background for the navigation and still be able to use title text.
