    Which software is recommended? I know of Adobe Browser Lab only, and it seems pretty new... Is there any better SW out there? Thanks PS: I have a classifieds website (PHP, MySql, Solr, js) developed on local computer using virtual server etc... Now I need to test it on different browsers. It is developed only with Firefox, so it works fine in FF.

    I'm trying to disable logging of caching in production. Have succeeded in getting SQL to stop logging queries, but no luck with caching log entries. Example line in production log: CACHE (0.0ms) SELECT merchants.* FROM merchants WHERE merchants.id = 1 LIMIT 1 I do not want to disable all logging, since I want logger.debug statements to show up in the production log. Using rails 3.2.1 with Mysql and Apache. Any suggestions?

  • iTunes Connect uploading issue

    Too bad that iTunes Connect changed its behavior recently. I'm providing an update to an existing app. I submitted new binary using the Loader without problem on the first try. Then I discovered that different from before, one has to reject the binaries in order to change screenshots. Too bad that the update is in the status of "In Review". Well, I have to rejected my binaries and begin to upload new screenshots, because I don't want to display screenshots of previous version. The new screen shots are uploaded but I'm stuck in "Developer rejected" status. Meaning I cannot upload the binaries and not able to change screenshots from that time on. The following error will appear when click Save Changes in either situations. "There was an error saving changes. Please try again later or contact iTunes Connect Support at [email protected]." I checked the source of the error page and think it's this error id="lcBoxWrapperHeaderTextUpdaterContainer" action="/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/wo/7.0.0.9.7.7.1.1.1.1" errorId="ajaxContainerError" I have reported iTune Connect via the "Contact us" link on this issue but not get any response back for 2 days already. Very disappointing. Did anybody experience similar issue? How did you resolve this?

  • Generate regular expression to match strings from the list A, but not from list B

    I have two lists of strings ListA and ListB. I need to generate a regular expression that will match all strings in ListA and will not match any string in ListB. The strings could contain any combination of characters, numbers and punctuation. If a string appears on ListA it is guaranteed that it will not be in the ListB. If a string is not in either of these two lists I don't care what the result of the matching should be. The lists typically contain thousands of strings, and strings are fairly similar to each other. I know the trivial answer to this question, which is just generate a regular expression of the form (Str1)|(Str2)|(Str3) where StrN is the string from ListA. But I am looking for a more efficient way to do this. Ideal solution would be some sort of tool that will take two lists and generate a Java regular expression for this. Update 1: By "efficient", I mean to generate expression that is shorter than trivial solution. The ideal algorithm would generate the shorted possible expression. Here are some examples. ListA = { C10 , C15, C195 } ListB = { Bob, Billy } The ideal expression would be /^C1.+$/ Another example, note the third element of ListB ListA = { C10 , C15, C195 } ListB = { Bob, Billy, C25 } The ideal expression is /^C[^2]{1}.+$/ The last example ListA = { A , D ,E , F , H } ListB = { B , C , G , I } The ideal expression is the same as trivial solution which is /^(A|D|E|F|H)$/ Also, I am not looking for the ideal solution, anything better than trivial would help. I was thinking along the lines of generating the list of trivial solutions, and then try to merge the common substrings while watching that we don't wander into ListB territory. *Update 2: I am not particularly worried about the time it takes to generate the RegEx, anything under 10 minutes on the modern machine is acceptable

    I just started using CakePHP and it's very different from just normal procedural or basic OOP PHP. I am still learning PHP and still read "beginning PHP/mysql" books that teaches you basic PHP. Also lots of sites online provide code that isn't for a framework. Is the only way to make non-framework code to say a framework, say cakePHP, by learning cakePHP thoroughly than rewriting the code yourself to fit the MVC model?

    I'm porting an application from Merb 1.1 / 1.8.7 to Rails 3 (beta) / 1.9.1 that uses JSON responses containing HTML fragments, e.g., a JSON container specifying an update, on a user record, and the updated user row looks like . In Merb, since whatever a controller method returns is given to the client, one can put together a Hash, assign a rendered partial to one of the keys and return hash.to_json (though that certainly may not be the best way.) In Rails, it seems that to get data back to the client one must use render and render can only be called once, so rendering the hash to json won't work because of the partial render. From reading around, it seems one could put that data into a JSON .erb view file, with <%= render partial % in and render that. Is there a Rails-way of solving this problem (return JSON containing one or more HTML fragments) other than that?     I have posted this question previously but the answer is not appropiate. The solution provided just change the picture when the custombutton has focus and unfocus. Suppose in my application I need to change the picture if the user clicks on the customButton, n i m doing this by calling the same screen (ie UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(new Screen2(b));) . Screen2 is the screen which holds the customButton. On the click evevt i m pushing the same screen by passing aint variable pic_status that determines which picture to be drawn in the CustomButton in the new screen.     I use ZODB and i want to copy my 'database_1.fs' file to another 'database_2.fs', so I opened the root dictionary of that 'database_1.fs' and I (pickle.dump) it in a text file. Then I (pickle.load) it in a dictionary-variable, in the end I update the root dictionary of the other 'database_2.fs' with the dictionary-variable. It works, but I wonder why the size of the 'database_1.fs' not equal to the size of the other 'database_2.fs'.
