  • Load nsimage from url but only some url's work

    I have some code that loads an image file off the web and puts it in an image view. The problem is it works with everything but Google Charts. This is frustrating because I was relying on this to graph data for my app. Heres the url I need to load: Click to see my test chart. Im not sure why NSImage seems to refuse to load this when it works with everything elese. If you know why or have a work-around any help is appreciated.   • Is it possible to compile Silverlight controls project with Nant?

    Hi all, I am attempting to compile my Silverlight control project with Nant without luck. Since my project contains XAML files, I am not sure if Nant is capable of generating the .g.cs files from the XAML file to be compiled into the project. I have come across posts where people suggest using the MsBuild task. Is there a way to avoid using the MsBuild task and compile the project using just Nant? I am not against using the MsBuild task. But would prefer to not use it if possible. Thank You, Vish

  • How do I prevent Visual Studio from renaming my controls?

    If I paste something like <asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownListExpirationDate" runat="server" /> onto an ASPX file that already has a DropDownListExpirationDate control, it will rename the newly-pasted control as DropDownList1. <asp:DropDownList ID="DropDownList1" runat="server" /> I'd rather it didn't. I'd rather is just paste exactly what I copied. Is there a way to disable this feature?

  • Is it possible to store controls(Panel) as object, serialize it and store it as a file?

    The topic says it all. Using Compact Framework C# I'm tiling (order/sequence is important) some images that i download from an url, into a Panel(each image is a PictureBox). This can be a huge process, and may take some time. Therefor i only want the user to download the images and tile them once. So the next time the user uses the Tile Application, the Panel that was created the first time is already stored in a file and is loaded from that file. So what i want is a method to store a Panel as a file. Is this possible, or do you think i should do it another way? I've tried something like this: BinaryWriter panelStorage = new BinaryWriter(new FileStream("imagePanel.panel", FileMode.OpenOrCreate, FileAccess.Write, FileShare.None)); Byte[] bImageObject = new Byte[20000]; bImageObject = (byte[])(object)this.imagePanel; panelStorage .Write(bMapObject); panelStorage .Close(); But the casting was not very legal :P "InvalidCastException" Can anyone help me with this problem?   • Can a program that controls IE detect if a HTTP 30x code is encountered?

    I am trying to control an InternetExplorer.Application via the COM interface, using Perl, Win32::OLE, and information from MSDN. My goal is to get as good an idea as possible about what IE is doing. (Related to this question.) IE uses events to notify my program when it has finished various stages of processing a certain URL (NavigateComplete2, DownloadComplete DocumentComplete). It can also tell my program about various errors it encounters (NavigateError2). I consider that part of my problem solved well enough. I would also like to be able to reliably detect if IE is redirected by the server. Primarily, I'm concerned about HTTP 30x status codes. Is there a way to do this, either with COM automation or via another route?

I have succeeded in this, but this has just presented me with a new set of problems: What are the control names for changing the visible size as well as the focus of a worksheet? What are the control names for changing/making background colours and borders? How do I create and define new worksheets and MSGraph objects inside the document?     Hello, I have a SQL table with a whole load of records that look like this: | Date | Score | + -----------+-------+ | 01/01/2010 | 4 | | 02/01/2010 | 6 | | 03/01/2010 | 10 | ... | 16/03/2010 | 2 | I'm plotting this on a chart, so I get a nice line across the graph indicating score-over-time. Lovely. Now, what I need to do is include the average score on the chart, so we can see how that changes over time, so I can simply add this to the mix: SELECT YEAR(SCOREDATE) 'Year', MONTH(SCOREDATE) 'Month', MIN(SCORE) MinScore, AVG(SCORE) AverageScore, MAX(SCORE) MaxScore FROM SCORES GROUP BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) ORDER BY YEAR(SCOREDATE), MONTH(SCOREDATE) That's no problem so far. The problem is, how can I easily calculate the percentiles at each time-period? I'm not sure that's the correct phrase. What I need in total is: A line on the chart for the score (easy) A line on the chart for the average (easy) A line on the chart showing the band that 95% of the scores occupy (stumped) It's the third one that I don't get. I need to calculate the 5% percentile figures, which I can do singly: SELECT MAX(SubQ.SCORE) FROM (SELECT TOP 45 PERCENT SCORE FROM SCORES WHERE YEAR(SCOREDATE) = 2010 AND MONTH(SCOREDATE) = 1 ORDER BY SCORE ASC) AS SubQ SELECT MIN(SubQ.SCORE) FROM (SELECT TOP 45 PERCENT SCORE FROM SCORES WHERE YEAR(SCOREDATE) = 2010 AND MONTH(SCOREDATE) = 1 ORDER BY SCORE DESC) AS SubQ But I can't work out how to get a table of all the months. | Date | Average | 45% | 55% | + -----------+---------+-----+-----+ | 01/01/2010 | 13 | 11 | 15 | | 02/01/2010 | 10 | 8 | 12 | | 03/01/2010 | 5 | 4 | 10 | ... | 16/03/2010 | 7 | 7 | 9 | At the moment I'm going to have to load this lot up into my app, and calculate the figures myself.     Hi there, I just updated an app from .net 2.0 to .net 4.0 and i have noticed the following... For example i have the following control.. <input type="hidden" name="ctl00$cphMain$hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado" id="cphMain_hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado" value="False" /> and then in javascript i did this before.. var hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado=document.getElementById('ctl00_cphMain_hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado'); but after checking the Id within the html source once it renders and also doing some debugging with firebug etc.... it has changed from ctl00_cphMain_hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado to cphMain_hfdFueraHorarioOficinaConfirmado can anyone explain why? .... so should i basically do a search and replace and remove the ctl00?????? A little confused Obviosuly the javascript line with the the ctl00_ infront return NULL because it doesn't exist, but removing this returns the object.. Any help or ideas really appreciated Thanks

  • Crystal Reports Legends

    Is there a way to force a Bar Chart legend in Crystal Report 11.5 to display its objects in a particular order? For Example, say I am reporting on the consumption of "Bananas" and "Apples" by State. The Bar Chart should display the percentage of people who eat these fruits by county (Percent Bar Chart). The "Apples" percentage always displays on top of the bar chart and the "Bananas" on the bottom. The legend for this graph also displays the "Apple" color first, then the "Banana" color. However, if the "Banana" percentage is 0% the legend displays the "Banana" color first on the legend. This creates a inconsistent report (with plenty of complaints). I would like the "Banana" color to always display second in the legend. Hope I didn't confuse anyone and any ideas would be helpful.

  • How can I fix the scroll bug when using Windows rich edit controls in wxpython?

    When using wx.TextCtl with the wx.TE_RICH2 option in windows, I get this strange bug with the auto-scroll when using the AppendText function. It scrolls so that all the text is above the visible area, which isn't very useful behaviour. I tried just adding a call to ScrollLines(-1) after appending the text - which does scroll it to the correct position - but this can lead to the window flashing when it auto-scrolls. So I'm looking for another way to automatically scroll to the bottom. So far, my solution is to bypass the AppendText functions auto-scroll and implement my own, like this: def append_text(textctrl, text): before_number_of_lines = textctrl.GetNumberOfLines() textctrl.SetInsertionPointEnd() textctrl.WriteText(text) after_number_of_lines = textctrl.GetNumberOfLines() textctrl.ScrollLines(before_number_of_lines - after_number_of_lines + 1) Is there a better way?

  • How I do I make controls/elements move with inertia?

    Modern UI's are starting to give their UI elments nice inertia when moving. Tabs slide in, page transitions, even some listboxes and scroll elments have nice inertia to them (the iphone for example). What is the best algorythm for this? It is more than just gravity as they speed up, and then slow down as they fall into place. I have tried various formulae's for speeding up to a maximum (terminal) velocity and then slowing down but nothing I have tried "feels" right. It always feels a little bit off. Is there a standard for this, or is it just a matter of playing with various numbers until it looks/feels right?
