    I have been parsing xml content using the xmlreader and cannot use the xml document but so far it works getting all elementcontent except for the attribute contents.   • Parse Domain from a given URL in T-SQL

    I fount this answer, but wanted to expand on the question and couldn't find any solutions here on stack or through searching google. Substring domainname from URL SQL Basically the link above solves my problem with a simple URL like parsing "www.google.com" with the result of google. What I am looking for to expand on that is the solution from the link above doesn't help with url's like 'www.maps.google.com' that just returns maps. WHat I would like is to have it return 'google' from the url 'www.maps.google.com' or return 'example' from 'www.test.example.com'. If anyone has a solution to this, I would greatly appreciate it. Update: To be more specific I will also need parsing on second level domains etc. 'www.maps.google.com.au' to return 'google' Here is my Sql function.   • Problem with ScriptManager when trying to email rendered contents of ASP.NET page

    I recently added a Telerik control to an ascx that is included in an aspx page. This page has a "Send email" button, which when clicked will email the user the rendered output of the page. The Telerik control I added requires a ScriptManager, so I added that to the ascx. However, now the email button won't work. I get the following error: The control with ID 'myIdHere' requires a ScriptManager on the page. The ScriptManager must appear before any controls that need it. I know the script manager exists because the page works fine when I go that url, it is only failing when it tries to email the rendered output. Here's a code snippet, any ideas as to whether there is a problem with scriptmanager when doing this sort of thing?     How can I ensure the contacts I add to an Outlook distribution list are displayed with both name and email address? These contacts may not exist in any other address book, just the distribution list. Currently they show up just as an email address (in both columns).   • Facebook email Permission, oath2, doesnt work?

    since the new Auth Dialog from Facebook (for my App & homepage), I cannot get the dialog to show that my homepage/app needs the users email when connection to my homepage/app. In the Auth-section of my app I've added "email" to the User & Friend Permissions. Also I've added it to the referal when someone clicks the "Login with facebook"-button. When someone clicks the Facebook-button, he/she redirects to a page which has the PHP-code with Facebook SDK PHP (latest). Here's how I generate the send-to-url for the dialog: $login_url = $facebook-getLoginUrl(array('req_perms' = 'email,publish_stream')); header("Location: ".$login_url); But when the Dialog pops up, the only permission request it does is "basic information". I need to request the Email. Am I stupid or is it a bug somehow? I've also recreated the App.

  • Facebook profile search using email address of a user

    Hello, If I have email address of a user, is there any way to find the profile of the user? I know it can be done using the uid and name of the user (GetInfo() or fql.query). The specific problem I am trying to address is when I search for a user using the name field, I end up getting multiple results (people with the same name). I have the email address of the user I want to search, so if I can search using email address, I will be able to reach to the specific user. Alternately, if there's a way to find uid for a given email address, I can get the user I am looking for. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, I am trying to parse an itunes affiliate xml link purely for practise, using NSXMLParser but the link will not parse. The itunes affiliate xml link is this: http://itunes.apple.com/au/rss/topsongs/limit=50/genre=20/xml?partnerId=2003&TD_PARAM=http%3A%2F%2Fclkuk.tradedoubler.com%2Fclick%3Fp%3D23708%26a%3D1904172%26url%3D. it works perfectly in safari on my mac. The normal itunes link I tried parsing: http://itunes.apple.com/%@/rss/%@/limit=50/genre=20/xml works perfectly with the NSXMLParser. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks in advanced. Even when i am trying to remove newline charactersets of substring the first 3 char there is no effect on the string. What can be done here?   • JSONP parsing error from WCF

    Answered my own question I had a problem with a jquery (jsonp) call to a WCF service that was throwing a json parsing error. Using ASP.NET 4.0 on the WCF side and jquery 1.7 on the client side. Turned out there was an old set of script tags on the page using language = VBSCRIPT. The browser was interpreting the returned json packet of script as "VBscript" instead of javascript. I placed a set of empty javascript tags at the top of the page and the browser is now interpreting the json as the proper javascript function. Hope this helps someone else. Tom

    How would I go about parsing incoming form data where the name changes based on section of site like: <input type="radio" name="Motorola section" value="Ask a question"> where 'Motorola section may be that, or Verizon section, or Blackberry section, etc. I do not have any control over changing the existing forms unfortunately, so must find a way to work with what is there. Basically, I need to be able to grab both the name="" data as well as its coresponding value="" data to be able to populate the email that gets sent properly.

    Hi, I have a JS date that is being converted by Dojo into RFC822 format. The function call - dojo.date.toRfc3339(jsDate), generates the following date - 2007-02-26T20:15:00+02:00. I have an application that uses a Java date SimpleDateFormat to parse in the dates generated above. I am having problems parsing this date format due to the timezone. I have attempted to use yyyy-mm-DD'T'hh:mm:ssZ This fails as the 'Z' for timezone doesn't expect a ':' character. Does anyone know how I would specify a pattern to handle a RFC822 date with the ':'?     I'm new to parsing XML and am having an issue with entities. (Am doing this on Android, if it makes a difference). Is there a way to have it turn an entity into the character it represents? I have this in the child of an element: "isn&#39;t" (minus quotes). I would prefer it parse it and the end result be a single text node. However, right now this is turned in to TEXT, ENTITY, TEXT. Is there a way to automatically have it parse the entity into text, or a manual way to do it?

  • (Python) Extracting Text from Source Code?

    Currently have a large webpage whose source code is ~200,000 lines of almost all (if not all) HTML. More specifically, it is a webpage whose content is a few thousand blocks of paragraphs separated by line breaks (though a line break does not specifically mean there is a separation in content) My main objective is to extract text from the source code as if I were copying/pasting the webpage into a text editor. There is another parsing function I would like to use, which originally took in copied/pasted text rather than the source code. To do this, I'm currently using urllib2, and calling .get_text() in Beautiful Soup. The problem is, Beautiful Soup is leaving tremendous amounts of white space in my code, and it is difficult to pass the result into the second "text" parser. I have done quite a bit of research on parsing HTMLs, but I'm frankly not sure how to solve this problem easily. Furthermore, I'm a bit confused on how to use imports like lxml to extract text as if I were to simply copy and paste?

In order to make all the email pass the spam filters the "Return-path" and "Sender" headers have to be attached to each email. What should I do in order to have "Return-path" and "Sender" headers added by Exim to be exactly the same as the "From" header created by my mail client ? Thanks

  • How do I receive email sent to postmaster?

    I have a VPS server that I would like to get an SSL certificate for, and the CA needs an email address to verify that I own the domain. The options are: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and an address to @whoisguard.com. The server runs CentOS 5, and all I have set up for email is sendmail. I don't have POP3 or IMAP. According to this Wikipedia article on Postmaster, it says that all SMTP servers support postmaster and it cites RFC 5321. Does sendmail conform to this? I tried sending a test mail to [email protected], but I don't know how to receive it on my server. Do I need to open up any ports? I haven't gotten a message back saying that my test mail failed to send, so my server must have gotten it.
