• ASA hairpining: I basicaly want to allow 2 spokes to be able to communicate with each other.

  ASA Spoke to Spoke Communication I have been looking at spke to spoke comms or "hairpining" for months and have posted on numerouse forums but to no avail. I have a Hub and spoke network where the HUB is an ASA Firewall version 8.2 * I basicaly want to allow 2 spokes to be able to communicate with each other.   Consider an IIS6 installation with multiple Web Sites. Each is intended to be a different subdomain with its own cert (not a wildcard cert). Each has their host-header specified properly. foo.example.com - port 443. Require SSL w/128 bit. Working properly! It presents its SSL cert properly to the browser. Configured for a specific IP address. bar.example.com - port 443. Require SSL w/128 bit. Configured for all unassigned addresses. When inspecting the IIS property page, it fully shows the cert for bar.example.com on the View Certificate button. This is a NEW web site that is having cert problems. It's presenting the cert for foo.example.com. Ouch! Question: can you have more than one subdomains both running on separate websites with SSL certs on the same port (443)? How would you configure 2 web sites on the same range of 'all unassigned' for the same port (443) ? Update: ignoring the cert error, when browsing to https://bar, the content served is from https://foo site. When NOT using SSL, browsing to http://bar serves the correct content from bar. Just one address is assigned to this DMZ server.

  I am attempting to use ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse to proxy requests through Apache to another server instance that is bound to the localhost on a different TCP port that the Vhost exists (VHost is bound to :80, when the target is bound to :5000). However, I am repeatedly receiving HTTP 503 when accessing the Location. The server servicing request is an instance of python paste:httpserver, and it has been configured to use the /rhodecode suffix (as I saw this to be mentioned in other posts about ProxyPass). The documentation from the project itself, Rhodecode, reports to use the above. The issue is persistent if I target another server that is serving on a different port. Does ProxyPass allow proxying to a different TCP port? [update] I won't delete this, in case someone comes across the same issue.   Hi, I'm trying to setup a redirect from http://mail.mydomain.com to https://mail.mydomain.com/owa. I've been unsuccessful in doing this by using IIS's HTTP Redirect so I looked to other options. The one I settled on is to create a default document in the wwwroot folder to handle the redirect. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. I've been trying to find an answer to this but have been unsuccessful so far. One thing I did try was to add the Everyone group to wwwroot with read access. No change. The AppPool for Default Web Site is DefaultAppPool and the Identity is ApplicationPoolIdentity.   I have a server with 10 ip's that I want to give access to some friends via authentication but I'm stuck on squid's config file. Let's say I have these ip's available on my server: 212.77.23.10 212.77.1.10 68.44.82.112 And I want to allocate each one of them to a different user like so: 212.77.23.10 goes to user manilodisan using password 123456 212.77.1.10 goes to user manilodisan1 using password 123456 68.44.82.112 goes to user manilodisan2 using password 123456 I managed to add the passwords and authentication works ok but how do I do to restrict one user to one of the available ip's?   I have a QA setup that consists of multiple internal development servers and one world-accessible provisioning machine that is setup to proxy pass the web traffic. Everything works fine for non-SSL requests, but I'm having a hard time getting the SSL logic working as well. • Apache mod-pagespeed installation affects mod-spdy?

  Recently my site (an https connection, running on an Amazon EC2 ubuntu apache2.2) has this issue where I need to load the page several times (3-4) before it will load normally without issue. It will then load normally as long as I keep loading pages regularly (every couple seconds). It will stall again if I don't load pages for a few minutes. It has nothing to do with my application because I don't have this problem with the exact same app codebase on my Apache installation on my laptop. The only things to my knowledge that I've changed is that I recently installed mod_spdy and then a few weeks later I installed mod_pagespeed, https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/mod. However, I have since turned mod_pagespeed off by setting its pagespeed.conf to mod_pagespeed off. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. The line below is how every of last 10 lines of my error.log look: # tail -f /var/log/apache2/error.log ...   Sorry my question is so vague I just have no idea where to start in solving it and am quite a novice with servers. All the websites use ASP.NET I have a number of websites all running separate HTTP websites: www.domain1.com www.domain2.com www.domain3.com I have a separate HTTPS website www.secure.com These websites are all running on the same server. I now wish to intergrate the content of www.secure.com into each of the domains in a transparent way. Such that each website despite having its own SSL connection displays the same website. The complicatrion is www.secure.com needs to know which website the connection has come from to apply the appropriate branding. The idea behind this is to have only one website, and location, but it keeps the core website brand. https://domain1.com looks alot better from a marketing point of view (and avoids users getting confused about what our secure website is) SSL www.domain1.com/secure - displays www.secure.com (branded domain1) SSL www.domain2.com/secure - displays www.secure.com (branded domain2) SSL www.domain3.com/secure - displays www.secure.com (branded domain3) How would the best way of achieving this, i'm open to using additional software if necessery. Would a reverse proxy be sutible for this situation?

• Where should CentOS users get /usr/share/virtio-win/drivers for virt-v2v?

  I need to migrate a number of virtual machines from VMware ESX to CentOS 6 KVM hypervisors. Ultimately, I wrote an RPM spec file that solved my problem at https://github.com/fasrc/virtio-win/blob/master/virtio-win.spec but I'm not sure if there's another RPM in base CentOS or EPEL (something standard) I should be using instead. Originally, I was getting this "No root device found in this operating system image" error when attemting to migrate a Window 2008 VM. . . [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm virt-v2v: No root device found in this operating system image. . . . but I solved this with a simply yum install libguestfs-winsupport since the docs say: If you attempt to convert a virtual machine using NTFS without the libguestfs-winsupport package installed, the conversion will fail. Next I got an error about missing drivers for Windows 2008. . . [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm my-vm_my-vm: 100% [====================================]D virt-v2v: Installation failed because the following files referenced in the configuration file are required, but missing: /usr/share/virtio-win/drivers/amd64/Win2008 . . . and I resolved this by grabbing an iso from Fedora at http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/ as recommended by http://www.linux-kvm.org/page/WindowsGuestDrivers/Download_Drivers and building an RPM from it with this spec file: https://github.com/fasrc/virtio-win/blob/master/virtio-win.spec Now, virt-v2v exits without error: [root@kvm01b ~]# virt-v2v -ic 'esx://my-vmware-hypervisor.example.com/' \ -os transferimages --network default my-vm my-vm_my-vm: 100% [====================================]D virt-v2v: my-vm configured with virtio drivers. • Using virtual IP with stunnel and haproxy

  Hi there, We have a load-balancer setup, in which an HTTPS Request flows through the following steps:- Client -> DNS -> stunnel on Load-Balancer -> HAProxy on LB -> Web-Server This setup works perfectly when stunnel is listening to the local IP of the Load-Balancer. However in our setup we have 2 load-balancers and we want to be able to listen to a virtual IP, which only ever exists on one LB at a time (keepalived flips the IP to the second LB if the first one falls over). HAProxy has no problem in doing this (and I can ping the assigned virtual IP on the load-balancer I'm testing), but it seems stunnel hates the concept. • Lion server profile manager, device enrollment doesn't work

  I am in the process of setting up Lion Servers profile manager to manage iPads on our local school network. I don't need to manage them while they are outside the network. I have successfully had it working on my personal network. The school network is behind a proxy which we have no control over. I can get the iPads to view the mydevices page and install a trust cert. I have managed to get an iPad to successfully install the remote management profile. After this the profile manager bugs out. It will list the active task of 'new device (sending)' but it's unable to complete the task. If I click on the device on profile manager and try any of the actions out they will all fail to complete. I am using the auto generated certificates and this works if I bring the server and iPad outside of the school network.
