• Thumbnail wont show up in Facebook link share

  I have been messing with Open Graph for hours and can't figure out why Facebook still wont let me show an image when I share a link to a new site I just launched. Even sites I built 5 years ago that have no clue of Open Graph show images so I have no idea why this new site wont allow it. I just need to launch this site and every time I post the url in my status update only text appears. I re sized the image to be 200px x 135px but that still doesn't work.. It can find the image but it wont show up. Please help me figure this thing out. I have a number of people sharing this page right now and no image shows up.. So embarrassing. Thank you in advance!   Ok, here's the question, I have an xml doc that is being import into an AS3 file and then with .htmlText, appending it to a movie clip.   I am a comsci student and I'm taking up database now. I got a problem in or should I say I dont know how to link table to table. It is not like you'll just use a foreign key and connect it to the primary key. • Mixed static and dynamic link on Mac OS

  I want to use gcc to produce a shared library, but i want to link some other libraries it depends on statically. Now to produce the "standard" dynamically linked output file i use gcc -dynamiclib *.o -lfoo -lbar -o outfile which would be gcc -shared *.o -lfoo -lbar -o outfile on for a binutils ld on a linux system. Now if i want libfoo and libbar to be linked statically, I can name the static libraries directly gcc -dynamiclib *.o /usr/lib/libfoo.a /usr/lib/libbar.a -o outfile however, that way i have to look for the library files myself. GNU binutils ld supports this: gcc -shared *.o -l:libfoo.a -l:libbar.a -o outfile but apple's ld doesnt. Is there a way to make apple's ld look for the static libraries himself? If not, is there another way that would avoid naming the exact location of the archives, e.g. producing an intermediate output file out of the object files requiring libfoo and libbar with the -static switch and linking that file together with the remaining objectfiles to create the dynamic object?

• link .a and .o files in GCC

  hi! I have two precompiled library: X.a and Y.a and a test.cpp (without main function) source code use these two libraries. I compiled the C++ using: g++ -c test.cpp and I got 'test.o'. Now how can I link these three together to generate a .a file because test.cpp use some function in X.a and Y.a and other GCC libraries? BTW, I am doing these under Windows using MinGW. Can I rename this .a file to .lib and use this .lib in VC? Thanks!

• Looking for jQuery slideshow where a user can hide/show a block of text (link, caption)

  I'm looking to implement a fairly basic jQuery slideshow. One that automatically loops through a set number of images. The snag I'm running into is i'd like to have a little icon in the corner of the picture, that when clicked, brings up a transparent black bar across the bottom with some text and perhaps a link. Has anybody come across anything like this?   I'm trying to overload a "display" method as follows: template <typename T> void imShow(T* img, int ImgW, int ImgH); template <typename T1, typename T2> void imShow(T1* img1, T2* img2, int ImgW, int ImgH); I am then calling the template with unsigned char* im1 and char* im2: imShow(im1, im2, ImgW, ImgH); This compiles fine, but i get a link error "unresolved external symbol" for: imShow<unsigned char,char>(unsigned char *,char *,int,int) I don't understand what I did wrong!

• How to display the rss version of a News Link

  I'm trying to write a script that will show the rss version of a single url (title, author, image, source, etc..). This should behave much the way that facebook does when you copy paste a link to share and it generates this information automatically. I'm trying to do this with a php script but would also be open to opensource programs that can do this as well. also, if anyone knows of any Joomla/Drupal plugins that can do this that would be great. This may eventually end up on a site run on one of these frameworks. thanks!!

  As I had feared some of our old VB6 projects are not playing nice with Windows 7. Some of our customers have already upgraded and our one product is returning this error every time you run the executable: The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll First thing I tried was creating a .local in the folder so it uses all the DLL and OCX files packaged with the product. That didn't do anything, though I'm not sure if this .local trick still works in Win7. Tried turning on compatibility for several previous versions of Windows, that had no effect either. Hopefully someone else has some more suggestions, as my Google-Fu has failed me on this one.

• Dynamically get image URL from Imgur page link

  I am trying to put some images on my website that are hosted on Imgur but i only have the link to the Imgur page, not the actual image URL. For example, on this album the URL I am trying to get is this: http://i.imgur.com/csb9Q.jpg (I only need the first image) I have noticed that when the page only has one image, the image file name is the same as the URL address, for example: http://imgur.com/sYlGa & http://i.imgur.com/sYlGa.jpg So this isnt a problem. But for pages with multiple images, this is not the case so how can i get the image URL?

  The problem I'm having is an extra  Chracter being added before the ® symbol in the body of an email created from a mailto: link in flash. This only happens on the PC in MS Outlook Instead of: MasterCard®! It shows up as MasterCard®!   hi, I am using php session for a basic login without encryption for my site. I want to prevent a user from directly accessing a php page by typing the url when he/she is not signed in. But this is not happening. I am using session_start(), initializing session variables and aslo unsetting and destroying sesssion during logout. Also if I type the link in a different browser the page is getting displayed. I am not very well versed with php , only a beginner. I googled for such problem and found few alternatives as keeping all files in a seperate folder from the web root, using .htaccess etc. Can someone explain in simple terms what could be a good solution.thanks in advance.

  I am thinking of using the Google Document Viewer to show PDF files that are hosted by our company server. The scenario is: A webpage will contain a menu with menu items that are actually different pages of a PDF file. After clicking a menu item, that particular page from the pdf will be displayed on that same web page This project is targeted for mobile devices (iPad, for now) Now, I am using an iFrame like below: But I don't know if linking to a specific page is possible or Google would like that because I tried the solutions posted on how to open specific page on Google's docs viewer and http://googlesystem.blogspot.com/2009/11/link-to-page-in-googles-document-viewer.html but all of them seem to be outdated.   I am working on Solaris 10, Sun Studio 11. I am refactoring some old code, and trying to write unit tests for them. My make file looks like: my_model.o:my_model.cc CC -c my_model.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern unit_test: unit_test.o my_model.o symbol_dictionary.o CC -o unit_test unit_test.o my_model.o symbol_dictionary.o -I../../include \ -library=stlport4 -instances=extern unit_test.o: unit_test.cc CC -c unit_test.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern symbol_dictionary.o: cd ../../test-fixtures && ($MAKE) symbol_dictionary.o mv ../../test-fixtures/symbol_dictionary.o . In the ../../test-fixtures makefile, I have the following target: symbol_dictionary.o: CC -c symbol_dictionary.cc -I/../../include -library=stlport4 -instances=extern I do the instances=extern because I had linking problems before, and this was the recommended solution. The consequence is in each directory that is being compiled, a SunWS_Cache directory is created to store the template instances. This is the long way to get to this question. Is it a standard practice to consolidate object files in a single directory before you link them?
