• WPF datagrid bind to previous row's cell

  Hi, I have a datagrid and one of the columns is going to be a checkbox column. To give the background, the checkbox is going to turn something on / off and each row in the datagrid is going to be for a differernt time (in time order, ascending). Is it possible for one row's checkbox to be bound to the state of the previous row? That way if somebody turns off at 10am it will continue to be turned off until such a time that it is turned on again. Hope that makes sense, any help would be great. Sure this sounds like something that should be do-able with databindings just not sure on the way to do it! Thanks.

• compare previous ENCRYPT() call with new ENCRYPT() call mysql

  I'm storing a string in mysql with the ENCRYPT() function. I want to fetch a row where that string is matched, but the new ENCRYPT() call gives me a different value, so they never match. This is expected as i'm not (and can't) give it a consistent salt: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/encryption-functions.html#function_encrypt If no salt argument is given, a random value is used. This is the query i'm running that returns empty: SELECT * FROM `table` WHERE ENCRYPT('string') = `enc_string` I know this is possible because this is used by a 3rd party app, but I can't find their query where they do this. Is there a way to force ENCRYPT to use the previous salt, or predict it?

• Reused UIWebView showing previous loaded content for a brief second on iPhone

  In one of my apps I reuse a webview. Each time the user enters a certain view on reload cached data to the webview using the method - (void)loadData:(NSData *)data MIMEType:(NSString *)MIMEType textEncodingName:(NSString *)encodingName baseURL:(NSURL *)baseURL and I wait for the callback call - (void) webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView. In the mean time I hide the webview and show a 'loading' label. Only when I receive webViewDidFinishLoad do I show the webview. Many times what happens is I see the previous data that was loaded to the webview for a brief second before the new data I loaded kicks in. I already added a delay of 0.2 seconds before showing the webview but it didn't help. Instead of solving this by adding more time to the delay does anyone know how to solve this issue or maybe clear old data from a webview without release and allocating it every time?

• Installation of Access Database Engine 32-bit Fails

  I am trying to install Access Database Engine 2007 32-bit. The splash screen comes up, you click "Next", then it fails with the error: Installation ended prematurely because of an error You click "OK" and another error window says: The installation of the package failed. The exact same situation happens when I try this with Access Database Engine 2010 32-bit. This production server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-bit. Before I tried installing Access Database Engine 32-bit, I first needed to install Microsoft Office 2010 Pro (Excel and Office Tools only). I tried the 32-bit version on the production server since that is how I set it up in our Dev environment. No luck. The 32-bit version would not install. I did NOT get the error "You have 64-bit components of Office installed". I simply received the exact same two errors listed above. So, I knew that 32-bit/64-bit did not really matter for the Office install for my project, so I installed 64-bit of Office Pro 2010 (Excel and Office Tools only) with no problems. I have a requirement that I need to have the 32-bit version of the Access Database Engine installed. 2007 or 2010, doesn't matter. I cannot use the 64-bit version of Access Database Engine 2010 because my SSIS package will not work with it. I require the 32-bit version. I've tried several steps to try to get it installed. I seriously think that the production server has some aversion to installing 32-bit applications. Here's what I've tried: Tried installing via command line with the "/passive" switch....no luck. Tried numerous iterations to copy the install file to the server (downloaded a fresh copy directly to the server, downloaded a fresh copy to my local machine then copied it over, copied it over zipped up) (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqldataaccess/thread/efd3c1f0-07cd-45ca-a626-2dd0c7ac3e9f). Tried Method 1 from this link. Could not try Method 2 because it requires a server reboot and in my environment that requires a long change management process. I've verified that I am a local administrator on the server. (Evidence, I am able to install other applications (office 64-bit per above)). Verified that there are no other office products that should be blocking the installation. The fore-mentioned install of Excel 2010 64-bit was the first Office product installed on the server. VERY ODD: To test my theory that the production server does not like 32-bit applications, I installed something lightweight. I installed 7-Zip 32-bit on the production server with no problems whatsoever. Here are some things that I have not tried (i will follow-up once I do): Method 2 (as mentioned above). Requires a server reboot. Have not verified that the Dev and Production environments are 100% identical. I've done a cursory check and on the surface they appear to be the same (same OS and SP version). I need to do a deeper dive to be 100% certain. I had no problems in my Dev environment. In Dev, I installed Office 2010 Pro 64-bit (Excel & Office Tools only) then via command line w/ the "/passive" switch, installed Access Database Engine 2010 32-bit. I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions or comments?

  I have a Time object and would like to find the next/previous month. Adding subtracting days does not work as the days per month vary. time = Time.parse('21-12-2008 10:51 UTC') next_month = time + 31 * 24 * 60 * 60 Incrementing the month also falls down as one would have to take care of the rolling time = Time.parse('21-12-2008 10:51 UTC') next_month = Time.utc(time.year, time.month+1) time = Time.parse('01-12-2008 10:51 UTC') previous_month = Time.utc(time.year, time.month-1) The only thing I found working was time = Time.parse('21-12-2008 10:51 UTC') d = Date.new(time.year, time.month, time.day) d >>= 1 next_month = Time.utc(d.year, d.month, d.day, time.hour, time.min, time.sec, time.usec) Is there a more elegant way of doing this that I am not seeing? How would you do it?

  I'm new to programming and have a question about navigation. What are the various methods that can achieve a "First", "Previous", "Next" and "Last" navigation, as seen in article or comic based sites? (Admittedly the "First" link isn't confusing as it can stay static, but what about the others?) For example, on the 50th page, the links would appropriately lead to the 49th and 51st (if it exists, if not it would not function but would automatically become active when such a page exists. In most examples of this I see urls ending with something like ".php?id=50" but am not certain how it's achieved, with a database? Any help will be very much appreciated, thanks.

• How Do I Add Value To All Previous Values In Array

  Lets say I have the following array: my_array = [1, 5, 8, 11, -6] I need to iterate over this array and add the values prior to the current value together. An example will probably be easier to understand. I need to return an array that should look something like this: final_array = [1, 6, 14, 25, 19] I have tried doing something like this: my_array.collect {|value| value + previous_values } But obviously that doesn't work because I can't figure out how to get the previous values in the array. I am a programming noob so this might be easier than I am making it. I am pretty sure I need to use either collect or inject, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

• Simplest way of creating java next/previous buttons

  I know that when creating buttons, like next and previous, that the code can be somewhat long to get those buttons to function. I see that the fillTextFields(false) uses a boolean value and that you need to initialize that boolean value in the beginning of the code I believe. I had put private fillTextFields boolean = false; but this does not seem to be right... I'm just hoping someone could explain it better. Thanks :)

  Now I was wondering if anyone has been able to accomplish reverting to a previous ADT plugin. The reason for this is because I am using an open source jar and I am getting the following errors on my LogCat such as: unable to resolve virtual method unable to find class referenced in signature unable to resolve new-instance The effect of this causes an error on running my android application on the debugger. I was using android ADT 15 before now I am updated to 17. Please help on finding a solution to resolve the issue. Edit* Forgot to add in The error "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError". In simple terms it can't find classes or methods the attached jar even though it allows it.

  I have a form with 3 sections in it. Each section has a dedicated div for fairly long contextual help messages regarding the input that has focus. My question is, if I give each of these help divs a class of "form-tip" and each input that has a tip the class "has-tip", how can I get the tip to always show up in the previous "form-tip" div? Kindly suggest something, my requirements are as follows: It can be compiled, so that its well integrated with my application. I'm not shying away from instrumenting my methods. The output should be simple, i only need call count and time taken by methods and nothing else. I am mostly concerned about things INSIDE a method, you may call it line by line profiling. I want to select a method and know which line (expression / method call) is eating most of the time.

  How could I adapt this query to show the previous 61 weeks? (still exlcluding the current week). My query currently shows me the total weekly sales for 2010 grouped by ISO Week and ISO Year (exlcuding the current week). select to_char(order_date,'IYYY') as iso_year, to_char(order_date,'IW') as iso_week, sum(sale_amount) from orders where to_char(order_date,'IW') <> to_char(SYSDATE) and to_char(order_date,'IYYY') = 2010 group by to_char(order_date,'IYYY') to_char(order_date,'IW') I realize I could probably just omit the "2010" requirement, order by desc and limit results to a certain bnumber of rows. • How to copy a folder recursively with out overwriting the previous one

  what i need is i have linked my project with the cruise control, so when ever a build happens i want to copy the bin folder to a seperate destination folder with version number. That is when the project build happens for the second time i dont want to replace the bin folder of the first build i want to save this with another version number. How can i do that.   I'm trying to add to our existing pre-commit SVN hook so that it will check for and block an increase in file size for files in specific directory/s. I've written a python script to compare two file sizes, which takes two files as arguments and uses sys.exit(0) or (1) to return the result, this part seems to work fine. My problem is in calling the python script from the batch file, how to reference the newly committed and previous versions of each file? The existing code is new to me and a mess of %REPOS%, %TXN%s etc and I'm not sure how to go about using them. Is there a simple, standard way of doing this? It also already contains code to loop through the changed files using svnlook changed, so that part shouldn't be an issue. Thanks very much
