  • PHP not outputting errors?

    My webpage is putting out a 500 Internal Server Error. I've turned on E_ALL for error reporting in the php.ini, and restarted the httpd. I've even used error_reporting(E_ALL) and error_reporting(-1) but still no luck. Any suggestions? OS: CentOS5.5 PHP: 5.2.6 HTTPD: Apache/2.2.3

  • jQuery Selectors: how to access an a tag, whose span has a specific class?

    I'm messing around with FullCalendar jQuery calendar, and qTips, so that I can display more information about the event upon mouseover. I've added a summary element to the FullCalendar js, and also my server code. I then added a new qTip in the eventMouseover method, based on the span class, which works prefectly. However, if the event stretches over a couple of days, the qTip only works (because it is a span tag), on the text itself, not the entire blue strip. What I want to do is to assign the qTip to the a tag, and make the a tags display block. This works currently: eventMouseover: function(event){ $('span[class=fc-event-title]').each(function() { if( $(this).text() == event.title ) { $(this).qtip({ content: event.summary, style: { border: { width: 1, radius: 5, color: '#6699CC' }, width: 200 } }); } }); but I can't figure out how to select the a tag where it contains a span with class of fc-event-title.   • Different setter behavior between DbContext and ObjectContext

    (This is using EntityFramework 4.2 CTP) I haven't found any references to this on the web yet, although it's likely I'm using the wrong terminology while searching. There's also a very likely scenario where this is 100% expected behavior, just looking for confirmation and would rather not dig through the tt template (still new to this). Assuming I have a class with a boolean field called Active and I have one row that already has this value set to true. I have code that executes to set said field to True regardless of it's existing value. If I use DbContext to update the value to True no update is made. If I use ObjectContext to update the value an update is made regardless of the existing value. This is happening in the exact same EDMX, all I did was change the code generation template from DbContext to EntityObject. Update: Ok, found the confirmation I was looking for...consider this a dupe...next time I'll do MOAR SEARCHING! Entity Framework: Cancel a property change if no change in value ** Update 2: ** Problem: the default tt template wraps the "if (this != value)" in the setter with "if (iskey), so only primarykey fields receive this logic. Solution: it's not the most graceful thing, but I removed this check...we'll see how it pans out in real usage.     I'm trying to write an AppleScript for use with Mail (on Snow Leopard) to save image attachments of messages to a folder.   • Spider a Website and Return URLs Only

    I'm not quite sure how best to define/articulate this, but I'm looking for a way to pseudo-spider a website. The key is that I don't actually want the content, but rather a simple list of URIs. I can get reasonably close to this idea with Wget using the --spider option, but when piping that output through a grep, I can't seem to find the right magic to make it work: wget --spider --force-html -r -l1 http://somesite.com | grep 'Saving to:' The grep filter seems to have absolutely no affect on the wget output. Have I got something wrong or is there another tool I should try that's more geared towards providing this kind of limited result set? Thanks. UPDATE So I just found out offline that, by default, wget writes to stderr. I missed that in the man pages (in fact, I still haven't found it if it's in there). Once I piped the return to stdout, I got closer to what I need: wget --spider --force-html -r -l1 http://somesite.com 2>&1 | grep 'Saving to:' I'd still be interested in other/better means for doing this kind of thing, if any exist.

    The Javadoc @see allows a simple string as an argument to refer to something like a book, e.g.: @see "The Java Programming Language." As far as I can tell, the Doxygen \see offers no equivalent. Is there any way to have a book reference generated in the documentation, e.g.: See Also The C++ Programming Language, Bjarne Stroustrup, Addison-Wesley, 2000, section 19.4.1: The Standard Allocator ?   • JTabbedPane: only first tab is drawn, the second is always empty (newbie Q)

    I created a very simple JTabbedPane by first creating an empty JTabbedPane object, then 2 JPanels that I later add. Each JPanel is holding a object that extends JButton and implements MouseListener. Each of these holds a different image loaded from a file; the image is held locally as a buffered image and as an image icon, etc., all of which works great. The point of all that is to allow resizing of the image when the button is resized (using getscaledinstance()), because the panel is resized, because the JTabbedPane is resized, etc., within the JFrame that holds everything. I override paintComponent() to accomplish this in the class that extends JButton. I am using MigLayout Manager, and all is well on that front controlling layout constraints, growing, filling, initial sizes, preferred sizes, etc. The images the buttons hold are of different sizes and proportions, but this caused no trouble before. Up until 2 days ago everything worked fairly well. I made some changes trying to tweak some resizing issues as I was picking up MigLayout manager. At the time I was playing around with setting various min, max, and preferred sizes using the methods provided for by the components, not the layout manager. I also fooled a bit with pack(), validate(), visible(), opaque() etc., and yes I read the article about Swing and AWT painting here: http://java.sun.com/products/jfc/tsc/articles/painting/ , and I switched to relying more and more on MigLayout. On an unrelated note, it appears JFrame's do not honor maxsize? Somehow, today, with and without using any of these methods provided by swing, with or without using MigLayout manager to handle some of these matters instead, I now have a JTabbedPane that correctly displays the FIRST JPanel I add, but NOT THE SECOND JPanel--which, while present as a tab--does not show when selected. I have switched the order of which panel is added first, and this still holds true regardless of which JPanel I add first, telling me the JPanels are ok, and the problem is most likely in the JTabbedPane. I click on the second tab, the JTabbedPane switches, but I have what appears to be a blank button in the JPanel. A few console system-out statements reveal the following: a) that the second panel and its button are constructed b) no mouse events are being captured when I click on where the second panel and button should reside, as if it didn't exist at that point; c) when I switch to the second tab, the overrided paintComponent() method of the button within that second JPanel is never called, so it is in fact never being painted despite the tab in which it resides becoming visible; d) the JTabbpedPane getComponentCount() returns a correct value of 2 after adding the 2nd panel; e) MigLayout manager actually rocks, but I digress... I cannot now revert to my older code, and despite my best efforts to undo whatever changes caused this, I cannot fix my new problem. I've commented out everything but the most essential calls: constructors for each object--with MigLayout; add() for placing the buttons on the panels using string-arguments appropriate for MigLayout; add() for placing the panels on the JTabbedPane, also with MigLayout string arguments; setting the default op on close for the JFrame; and setting the JFrame visible. This means I do not fiddle with optimization settings, double buffering settings, opaque settings, but leave them as default, and still, no fix; the second panel will not show itself. Each panel, I should add, when it is the first to be loaded, works fine, again re-affirming that the panels and buttons are themselves ok.     Hi, I'm trying to get the unix time for date strings that are formatted like so: 'second sunday of march 2010' 'first sunday of november 2010' I was under the impression that strtotime could handle such a string, but apparently not, as this returns false. How can I convert to unix time when given a day of week, which one of those in the month (ie. first, second, etc.), a month and a year.

  • How do I use a custom #theme function to a fieldset in a drupal module?

    I have a module that builds a form that includes a fieldset. Instead of using the <legend> element to render the fieldset title, I want to place this content in a <div> element instead. But I want to change the behavior only for the form returned by my module, so I don't want to place any new functionality into my theme's template.php file. Instead what happens is that the <fieldset> and <legend> elements are rendered as normal, but with the body of the fieldset replaced by the test message instead, like this: <fieldset> <legend>Basic Account Info</legend> test </fieldset> Why doesn't my #theme function have the chance to replace the entire <fieldset> element? If I wrap a textfield in this function instead, I am able to completely replace the <input> element along with its label. Furthermore, if I provide an override in my site's template.php for theme_fieldset, it works as expected and I am able to completely replace the <fieldset>, so I know it is possible. What's different about providing #theme functions to fieldsets inside a module?

  • Why would a TableAdapter populate a DataSet with "1/1/2000" for an entire timestamp column?

    I have a TableAdapter filling a DataSet, and for some reason every select query populates my timestamp column with the value 1/1/2000 for every selected row. I first verified that original values are intact on the DB side; for the most part, they are, although it seems a few rows lost their original timestamp because of update queries performed programmatically before the issue was discovered. The DataColumn type is DateType, while the database (Postgres) column type is timestamp. Up until recently, this was all playing very nicely. I noticed the issue in a bound DataGridView control, and verified that this is not related to data binding by utilizing the 'Preview Data' option in the VS DataSet Editor. Usually when I notice unexpected values popping up in my application it's related to a mis-configured property, type conflict, or another silly mistake I've made. So after checking properties and types, and even recreating the TableAdapter from scratch, to say I'm a little baffled is an understatement. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could do to fix the issue and/or diagnose the cause?

    I am wanting to use the Google Weather API - by passing lat and long values. However it seems Google is needing these formatted differently to the values I have stored. i.e. For the town of McTavish I have values of 45.5 and -73.583 This works here: http://api.wunderground.com/auto/wui/geo/WXCurrentObXML/index.xml?query=45.5,-73.583 But when I use Google it does not: See: www.google.com/ig/api?weather=,,,45.5,-73.583 Any help appreciated. I would prefer to use the Google Data.

But when I try to run it, something weird happens; a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError is thrown on that last line, referring to the class just loaded. The weird part is, the println prints the exact class name. I checked that if I keep the reference as an Object and manipulate it only through reflection, everything's fine, so the offending piece of code must be the explicit cast. Can someone explain to me why this happens, and also tell me how I can achieve what I'm trying to do?

So at this point everything seems to be okay. The viewmodel is filled entirely correct. Then in my view (i'm using Razor) i've got the following two rules which are supposed to render the selectlist for me. @Html.LabelFor(m => m.Categories) @Html.DropDownListFor(model=>model.Categories, Model.Categories, Model.CategoryId) @Html.ValidationMessageFor(m => m.Categories) When I run the code and open the view to edit my blog, I can see all the correct data. Also the selectlist is rendered correctly, but the item i want to be selected lost it's selection. How can this be? Until the point the viewmodel is being returned with the view everything is okay. But when i view the webpage in the browser, the selectlist is there only with out the correct selection. What am I missing here? Or doing wrong?

    I'm working on a report in Visual Studio 2008 with their Report tooling and I'm not sure how to approach this conceptually. I have a report I want to generate. At the top of the report will be a bunch of information about a customer of our site (Name, Address, Phone). Then below will be a chart of the purchases that customer has each month. My problem is that I want the content at the top of the page to use a query that selects from my Users table in my database. But then I need another query that gets all of the purchases grouped by month. I've thought one way to approach this would be to place a subreport on the parent report that only contained the chart. The parent report would have the details of the account. Is this the correct approach?

  • Pulling changes between two separate Mercurial repositories

    I have two versions of a product and am using separate Hg repositories for each. I have made a change to one (v1.0) and I want to pull just that change into the v2.0 repository. How do I go about this? As far as I can tell, using hg pull -f -r xxxxx \\server\hg\v1.0 will pull in all changes up to the specified revision which isn't what I want. Is this possible or will I have to add the fix by hand?

Call the constructor method to perform the initialization of the class Call the AfterConstruction method It's simple and easy to understand. but I'm not very sure how the compiler handle exceptions in the second and the third step.   • Django gives "I/O operation on closed file" error when reading from a saved ImageField

    I have a model with two image fields, a source image and a thumbnail. When I update the new source image, save it and then try to read the source image to crop/scale it to a thumbnail I get an "I/O operation on closed file" error from PIL. If I update the source image, don't save the source image, and then try to read the source image to crop/scale, I get an "attempting to read from closed file" error from PIL. In both cases the source image is actually saved and available in later request/response loops. If I don't crop/scale in a single request/response loop but instead upload on one page and then crop/scale in another page this all works fine. This seems to be a cached buffer being reused some how, either by PIL or by the Django file storage. Any ideas on how to make an ImageField readable after saving?
