  • local variable 'sresult' referenced before assignment

    - by user288558
    I have had multiple problems trying to use PP. I am running python2.6 and pp 1.6.0 rc3. Using the following test code: import pp nodes=('mosura02','mosura03','mosura04','mosura05','mosura06', 'mosura09','mosura10','mosura11','mosura12') def pptester(): js=pp.Server(ppservers=nodes) tmp=[] for i in range(200): tmp.append(js.submit(ppworktest,(),(),('os',))) return tmp def ppworktest(): return os.system("uname -a") gives me the following result: In [10]: Exception in thread run_local: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 477, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/home/wkerzend/python_coala/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pp.py", line 751, in _run_local job.finalize(sresult) UnboundLocalError: local variable 'sresult' referenced before assignment Exception in thread run_local: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 477, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/home/wkerzend/python_coala/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pp.py", line 751, in _run_local job.finalize(sresult) UnboundLocalError: local variable 'sresult' referenced before assignment Exception in thread run_local: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 477, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/home/wkerzend/python_coala/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pp.py", line 751, in _run_local job.finalize(sresult) UnboundLocalError: local variable 'sresult' referenced before assignment Exception in thread run_local: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 525, in __bootstrap_inner self.run() File "/usr/lib64/python2.6/threading.py", line 477, in run self.__target(*self.__args, **self.__kwargs) File "/home/wkerzend/python_coala/lib/python2.6/site-packages/pp.py", line 751, in _run_local job.finalize(sresult) UnboundLocalError: local variable 'sresult' referenced before assignment any help greatly appreciated

  • Classes, methods, and polymorphism in Python

    - by Morlock
    I made a module prototype for building complex timer schedules in python. The classe prototypes permit to have Timer objects, each with their waiting times, Repeat objects that group Timer and other Repeat objects, and a Schedule class, just for holding a whole construction or Timers and Repeat instances. The construction can be as complex as needed and needs to be flexible. Each of these three classes has a .run() method, permitting to go through the whole schedule. Whatever the Class, the .run() method either runs a timer, a repeat group for a certain number of iterations, or a schedule. Is this polymorphism-oriented approach sound or silly? What are other appropriate approaches I should consider to build such a versatile utility that permits to put all building blocks together in as complex a way as desired with simplicity? Thanks! Here is the module code: ##################### ## Importing modules from time import time, sleep ##################### ## Class definitions class Timer: """ Timer object with duration. """ def __init__(self, duration): self.duration = duration def run(self): print "Waiting for %i seconds" % self.duration wait(self.duration) chime() class Repeat: """ Repeat grouped objects for a certain number of repetitions. """ def __init__(self, objects=[], rep=1): self.rep = rep self.objects = objects def run(self): print "Repeating group for %i times" % self.rep for i in xrange(self.rep): for group in self.objects: group.run() class Schedule: """ Groups of timers and repetitions. Maybe redundant with class Repeat. """ def __init__(self, schedule=[]): self.schedule = schedule def run(self): for group in self.schedule: group.run() ######################## ## Function definitions def wait(duration): """ Wait a certain number of seconds. """ time_end = time() + float(duration) #uncoment for minutes# * 60 time_diff = time_end - time() while time_diff > 0: sleep(1) time_diff = time_end - time() def chime(): print "Ding!"

  • Using multiple QStyledItemDelegate with stylesheets

    - by Shane Holloway
    I'm creating a styled QTreeView using double-dispatch to resolve specific delegate for data items, which is working great. I subclassed the delegates from QStyledItemDelegate to take advantage of stylesheets, enabling the designers to style the UI outside of the code. Unfortunately, I have been unable to address different styles from the CSS. How do I select and use the item sub-control style specified in the stylesheet? The CSS I'm testing with: QTreeView::item:selected { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #dddddd, stop: 1 #888888); } QTreeView::item:selected[role="title"] { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #fde7ef, stop: 1 #f1cbda); } QTreeView::item:selected[role="entry"] { background: qlineargradient(x1: 0, y1: 0, x2: 0, y2: 1, stop: 0 #e7effd, stop: 1 #cbdaf1); } My delegate rendering classes: class VisitingDelegate(QtGui.QAbstractItemDelegate): def __init__(self, parent=None): super(VisitingDelegate,self).__init__(parent) roles = {} self.renderRoles = roles d = TitleDelegate(parent) d.setProperty("role", "title") roles['title'] = d d = EntryDelegate(parent) d.setProperty("role", "entry") roles['entry'] = d def delegateForIndex(self, mi): role = mi.model().data(mi, "renderRole") return self.renderRoles[role] def paint(self, painter, option, mi): dg = self.delegateForIndex(mi) return dg.paint(painter, option, mi) def sizeHint(self, option, mi): dg = self.delegateForIndex(mi) return dg.sizeHint(option, mi) class TextDocumentDelegate(QtGui.QStyledItemDelegate): fmt = "<font color='%(color)s'>%(text)s</font)>" def paint(self, painter, option, mi): painter.save() opt = QtGui.QStyleOptionViewItemV4(option) self.initStyleOption(opt, mi) opt.text = '' style = opt.widget.style() style.drawControl(style.CE_ItemViewItem, opt, painter, opt.widget) textRect = style.subElementRect(style.SE_ItemViewItemText, opt, opt.widget); doc = self.asTextDoc(option, mi) painter.translate(textRect.topLeft()) doc.drawContents(painter) painter.restore() def sizeHint(self, option, mi): doc = self.asTextDoc(option, mi) sz = doc.size() sz = QtCore.QSize(sz.width(), sz.height()) return sz def asTextDoc(self, option, mi): info = {} info['text'] = mi.model().data(mi, Qt.DisplayRole) doc = QtGui.QTextDocument() doc.setDefaultFont(option.font) pal = option.palette if option.state & QtGui.QStyle.State_Selected: color = pal.color(pal.HighlightedText) else: color = pal.color(pal.Text) info['color'] = color.name() doc.setHtml(self.fmt % info) return doc class EntryDelegate(TextDocumentDelegate): pass class TitleDelegate(TextDocumentDelegate): fmt = "<h3><font color='%(color)s'>%(text)s</font)></h3>"

  • Python class variables not defined with called from outside module

    - by Jimmy
    I am having some issues with calling a function outside of a module. The scenario is I have a small class library that is using turtle to do some drawing, the function within the module calls the classes also within the module and draws things, etc. This all works fine and dandy when I call the function from within the same file, but if I have another file and call myLib.scene() I get variable undefined errors. Code examples: a class class Rectangle(object): def __init__(self, pen, height=100, width=100, fillcolor=''): self.pen = pen self.height = height self.width = width self.fillcolor = fillcolor def draw(self, x, y): '''draws the rectangle at coordinates x and y''' self.pen.goto(x, y) if self.fillcolor: self.pen.fillcolor(self.fillcolor) self.pen.fill(True) self.pen.down() for i in range(0,4): self.pen.forward(self.height if i%2 else self.width) self.pen.left(90) and the calling function is this def scene(pen): rect = Rectangle(pen) rect.draw(100,100) when I put the line scene(turtle.Turtle()) into the same file I have no issues, the rectangle is drawn and everyone goes home happy. However, if I try to call it from a separate python file like so: myLib.scene(turtle.Turtle()) I get an error: NameError: global name 'pen' is not defined, in the for loop of my draw method. Even if the line above is in the same file it still bombs out. What is going on?

  • Why is my addSubview: method causing a leak?

    - by Nathan
    Okay, so I have done a ton of research on this and have been pulling my hair out for days trying to figure out why the following code leaks: [UIApplication sharedApplication].networkActivityIndicatorVisible = YES; UIImage *comicImage = [self getCachedImage:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@%@%@",@"http://url/",comicNumber,@".png"]]; self.imageView = [[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:comicImage] autorelease]; [self.scrollView addSubview:self.imageView]; self.scrollView.contentSize = self.imageView.frame.size; self.imageWidth = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%f",imageView.frame.size.width]; [UIApplication sharedApplication].networkActivityIndicatorVisible = NO; Both self.imageView and self.scrollView are @propety (nonatomic, retain) and released in my dealloc.. imageView isn't used anywhere else in the code. This code is also run in a thread off of the main thread. If I run this code on my device, it will quickly run out of memory if I continually load this view. However, I've found if I comment out the following line: [UIApplication sharedApplication].networkActivityIndicatorVisible = YES; UIImage *comicImage = [self getCachedImage:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@%@%@",@"http://url/",comicNumber,@".png"]]; self.imageView = [[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:comicImage] autorelease]; //[self.scrollView addSubview:self.imageView]; self.scrollView.contentSize = self.imageView.frame.size; self.imageWidth = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%f",imageView.frame.size.width]; [UIApplication sharedApplication].networkActivityIndicatorVisible = NO; Memory usage becomes stable, no matter how many times I load the view. I have gone over everything I can think to see why this is leaking, but as far as I can tell I have all my releases straight. Can anyone see what I am missing?

  • Python win32com - Automating Word - How to replace text in a text box?

    - by Greg
    I'm trying to automate word to replace text in a word document using Python. (I'm on word 2003 if that matters and Python 2.4) The first part of my replace method below works on everything except text in text boxes. The text just doesn't get selected. I notice when I go into Word manually and hit ctrl-A all of the text gets selected except for the text box. Here's my code so far: class Word: def __init__(self,visible=0,screenupdating=0): pythoncom.CoInitialize() self.app=gencache.EnsureDispatch(WORD) self.app.Visible = visible self.app.DisplayAlerts = 0 self.app.ScreenUpdating = screenupdating print 'Starting word' def open(self,doc): self.opendoc=os.path.basename(doc) self.app.Documents.Open(FileName=doc) def replace(self,source,target): if target=='':target=' ' alltext=self.app.Documents(self.opendoc).Range(Start=0,End=self.app.Documents(self.opendoc).Characters.Count) #select all alltext.Find.Text = source alltext.Find.Replacement.Text = target alltext.Find.Execute(Replace=1,Forward=True) #Special handling to do replace in text boxes #http://word.tips.net/Pages/T003879_Updating_a_Field_in_a_Text_Box.html for shp in self.app.Documents(self.opendoc).Shapes: if shp.TextFrame.HasText: shp.TextFrame.TextRange.Find.Text = source shp.TextFrame.TextRange.Find.Replacement.Text = target shp.TextFrame.TextRange.Find.Execute(Replace=1,Forward=True) #My Usage word=Word(visible=1,screenupdating=1) word.open(r'C:\Invoice Automation\testTB.doc') word.replace('[PGN]','1') The for shp in self.app .. section is my attempt to hit the text boxes. It seems to find the text box, but it doesn't replace anything.

  • Django Testing: Faking User Creation

    - by Ygam
    I want to better write this test: def test_profile_created(self): self.client.post(reverse('registration_register'), data={ 'username':'ygam', 'email':'[email protected]', 'password1':'ygam', 'password2':'ygam' }) """ Test if a profile is created on save """ user = User.objects.get(username='ygam') self.assertTrue(UserProfile.objects.filter(user=user).exists()) and I just came upon this code on django-registration tests that does not actually "create" the user: def test_registration_signal(self): def receiver(sender, **kwargs): self.failUnless('user' in kwargs) self.assertEqual(kwargs['user'].username, 'bob') self.failUnless('request' in kwargs) self.failUnless(isinstance(kwargs['request'], WSGIRequest)) received_signals.append(kwargs.get('signal')) received_signals = [] signals.user_registered.connect(receiver, sender=self.backend.__class__) self.backend.register(_mock_request(), username='bob', email='[email protected]', password1='secret') self.assertEqual(len(received_signals), 1) self.assertEqual(received_signals, [signals.user_registered]) However he used a custom function for this "_mock_request": class _MockRequestClient(Client): def request(self, **request): environ = { 'HTTP_COOKIE': self.cookies, 'PATH_INFO': '/', 'QUERY_STRING': '', 'REMOTE_ADDR': '127.0.0.1', 'REQUEST_METHOD': 'GET', 'SCRIPT_NAME': '', 'SERVER_NAME': 'testserver', 'SERVER_PORT': '80', 'SERVER_PROTOCOL': 'HTTP/1.1', 'wsgi.version': (1,0), 'wsgi.url_scheme': 'http', 'wsgi.errors': self.errors, 'wsgi.multiprocess':True, 'wsgi.multithread': False, 'wsgi.run_once': False, 'wsgi.input': None, } environ.update(self.defaults) environ.update(request) request = WSGIRequest(environ) # We have to manually add a session since we'll be bypassing # the middleware chain. session_middleware = SessionMiddleware() session_middleware.process_request(request) return request def _mock_request(): return _MockRequestClient().request() However, it may be too long of a function for my needs. I want to be able to somehow "fake" the account creation. I have not much experience on mocks and stubs so any help would do. Thanks!

  • Django repeating vars/cache issue?

    - by Mark
    I'm trying to build a better/more powerful form class for Django. It's working well, except for these sub-forms. Actually, it works perfectly right after I re-start apache, but after I refresh the page a few times, my HTML output starts to look like this: <input class="text" type="text" id="pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-id-pickup_addr-venue" value="" name="pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-venue" /> The pickup_addr- part starts repeating many times. I was looking for loops around the prefix code that might have cause this to happen, but the output isn't even consistent when I refresh the page, so I think something is getting cached somewhere, but I can't even imagine how that's possible. The prefix car should be reset when the class is initialized, no? Unless it's somehow not initializing something? class Form(object): count = 0 def __init__(self, data={}, prefix='', action='', id=None, multiple=False): self.fields = {} self.subforms = {} self.data = {} self.action = action self.id = fnn(id, 'form%d' % Form.count) self.errors = [] self.valid = True if not empty(prefix) and prefix[-1:] not in ('-','_'): prefix += '-' for name, field in inspect.getmembers(self, lambda m: isinstance(m, Field)): if name[:2] == '__': continue field_name = fnn(field.name, name) field.label = fnn(field.label, humanize(field_name)) field.name = field.widget.name = prefix + field_name + ife(multiple, '[]') field.id = field.auto_id = field.widget.id = ife(field.id==None, 'id-') + prefix + fnn(field.id, field_name) + ife(multiple, Form.count) field.errors = [] val = fnn(field.widget.get_value(data), field.default) if isinstance(val, basestring): try: val = field.coerce(field.format(val)) except Exception, err: self.valid = False field.errors.append(escape_html(err)) field.val = self.data[name] = field.widget.val = val for rule in field.rules: rule.fields = self.fields rule.val = field.val rule.name = field.name self.fields[name] = field for name, form in inspect.getmembers(self, lambda m: ispropersubclass(m, Form)): if name[:2] == '__': continue self.subforms[name] = self.__dict__[name] = form(data=data, prefix='%s%s-' % (prefix, name)) Form.count += 1 Let me know if you need more code... I know it's a lot, but I just can't figure out what's causing this!

  • How do I interact with a Perl object that has a hash attribute?

    - by brydgesk
    I have a class with several variables, one of which is a hash (_runs): sub new { my ($class, $name) = @_; my $self = { _name => $name, ... _runs => (), _times => [], ... }; bless ($self, $class); return $self; } Now, all I'm trying to do is create an accessor/mutator, as well as another subroutine that pushes new data into the hash. But I'm having a hell of a time getting all the referencing/dereferencing/$self calls working together. I've about burned my eyes out with "Can't use string ("blah") as a HASH ref etc etc" errors. For the accessor, what is 'best practice' for returning hashes? Which one of these options should I be using (if any)?: return $self->{_runs}; return %{ $self->{_runs} }; return \$self->{_runs}; Further, when I'm using the hash within other subroutines in the class, what syntax do I use to copy it? my @runs = $self->{_runs}; my @runs = %{ $self->{_runs} }; my @runs = $%{ $self->{_runs} }; my @runs = $$self->{_runs}; Same goes for iterating over the keys: foreach my $dt (keys $self->{_runs}) foreach my $dt (keys %{ $self->{_runs} }) And how about actually adding the data? $self->{_runs}{$dt} = $duration; %{ $self->{_runs} }{$dt} = $duration; $$self->{_runs}{$dt} = $duration; You get the point. I've been reading articles about using classes, and articles about referencing and dereferencing, but I can't seem to get my brain to combine the knowledge and use both at the same time. I got my _times array working finally, but mimicking my array syntax over to hashes didn't work.

  • python tkinter gui

    - by Lewis Townsend
    I'm wanting to make a small python program for yearly temperatures. I can get nearly everything working in the standard console but I'm wanting to implement it into a GUI. The program opens a csv file reads it into lists, works out the average, and min & max temps. Then on closing the application will save a summary to a new text file. I am wanting the default start up screen to show All Years. When a button is clicked it just shows that year's data. Here is a what I want it to look like. Pretty simple layout with just the 5 buttons and the out puts for each. I can make up the buttons for the top fine with: Code: class App: def __init__(self, master): frame = Frame(master) frame.pack() self.hi_there = Button(frame, text="All Years", command=self.All) self.hi_there.pack(side=LEFT) self.hi_there = Button(frame, text="2011", command=self.Y1) self.hi_there.pack(side=LEFT) self.hi_there = Button(frame, text="2012", command=self.Y2) self.hi_there.pack(side=LEFT) self.hi_there = Button(frame, text="2013", command=self.Y3) self.hi_there.pack(side=LEFT) self.hi_there = Button(frame, text="Save & Exit", command=self.Exit) self.hi_there.pack(side=LEFT) I'm not sure as to how to make the other elements, such as the title & table. I was going to post the code of the small program but decided not to. Once I have the structure/framework I think I can populate the fields & I might learn better this way. Using Python 2.7.3

  • First and last UITableViewCell keep changing while scrolling.

    - by W Dyson
    I have a tableView with cells containing one UITextField as a subview for each cell. My problem is that when I scroll down, the text in the first cell is duplicated in the last cell. I can't for the life if me figure out why. I have tried loading the cells from different nibs, having the textFields as ivars. The UITextFields don't seem to be the problem, I'm thinking it has something to do with the tableView reusing the cells. The textFields all have a data source that keeps track of the text within the textField and the text is reset each time the cell is shown. Any ideas? UPDATE: Thanks guys, here's a sample: - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { NSLog(@"Section %i, Row %i", indexPath.section, indexPath.row); static NSString *JournalCellIdentifier = @"JournalCellIdentifier"; UITableViewCell *cell = (UITableViewCell *)[self.tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:JournalCellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:JournalCellIdentifier] autorelease]; cell.selectionStyle = UITableViewCellSelectionStyleNone; cell.accessoryType = UITableViewCellAccessoryNone; } if (indexPath.section == 0) { UITextField *textField = (UITextField *)[self.authorCell viewWithTag:1]; [cell addSubview:textField]; self.authorTextField = textField; self.authorTextField.text = [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"author"]; NSLog(@"Reading Author:%@", [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"author"]); } else if (indexPath.section == 1) { UITextField *textField = (UITextField *)[self.yearCell viewWithTag:1]; [cell addSubview:textField]; self.yearTextField = textField; self.yearTextField.text = [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"year"]; NSLog(@"Reading Year:%@", [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"year"]); } else if (indexPath.section == 2) { UITextField *textField = (UITextField *)[self.volumeCell viewWithTag:1]; [cell addSubview:textField]; self.volumeTextField = textField; self.volumeTextField.text = [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"volume"]; NSLog(@"Reading Volume:%@", [self.textFieldDictionary objectForKey:@"volume"]); } return cell; }

  • create a class attribute without going through __setattr__

    - by eric.frederich
    Hello, What I have below is a class I made to easily store a bunch of data as attributes. They wind up getting stored in a dictionary. I override __getattr__ and __setattr__ to store and retrieve the values back in different types of units. When I started overriding __setattr__ I was having trouble creating that initial dicionary in the 2nd line of __init__ like so... super(MyDataFile, self).__setattr__('_data', {}) My question... Is there an easier way to create a class level attribute with going through __setattr__? Also, should I be concerned about keeping a separate dictionary or should I just store everything in self.__dict__? #!/usr/bin/env python from unitconverter import convert import re special_attribute_re = re.compile(r'(.+)__(.+)') class MyDataFile(object): def __init__(self, *args, **kwargs): super(MyDataFile, self).__init__(*args, **kwargs) super(MyDataFile, self).__setattr__('_data', {}) # # For attribute type access # def __setattr__(self, name, value): self._data[name] = value def __getattr__(self, name): if name in self._data: return self._data[name] match = special_attribute_re.match(name) if match: varname, units = match.groups() if varname in self._data: return self.getvaras(varname, units) raise AttributeError # # other methods # def getvaras(self, name, units): from_val, from_units = self._data[name] if from_units == units: return from_val return convert(from_val, from_units, units), units def __str__(self): return str(self._data) d = MyDataFile() print d # set like a dictionary or an attribute d.XYZ = 12.34, 'in' d.ABC = 76.54, 'ft' # get it back like a dictionary or an attribute print d.XYZ print d.ABC # get conversions using getvaras or using a specially formed attribute print d.getvaras('ABC', 'cm') print d.XYZ__mm

  • AttributeError in my Python program regarding classes

    - by Axel Finkel
    I'm doing an exercise out of the Python book that involves creating a class and a subclass. I am getting the following error when I try to run the program: AttributeError: 'Customer' object has no attribute 'name', when it tries to go through this bit of code: self.name.append(name) As this is my first time dealing with classes and objects in Python, I'm sure I am making some overt mistake somewhere, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've looked over the documentation for creating classes and writing member functions, and it looks correct, but it is obviously not. I want the Customer subclass to inherit the name, address, and telephone attributes from the Person superclass, but it doesn't seem to be doing so? Here is my code: class Person: def __init__(self): self.name = None self.address = None self.telephone = None def changeName(self, name): self.name.append(name) def changeAddress(self, address): self.address.append(address) def changeTelephone(self, telephone): self.telephone.append(telephone) class Customer(Person): def __init__(self): self.customerNumber = None self.onMailingList = False def changeCustomerNumber(self, customerNumber): self.customerNumber.append(customerNumber) def changeOnMailingList(): if onMailingList == False: onMailingList == True else: onMailingList == False def main(): customer1 = Customer() name = 'Bob Smith' address = '123 Somewhere Road' telephone = '111 222 3333' customerNumber = '12345' customer1.changeName(name) customer1.changeAddress(address) customer1.changeTelephone(telephone) customer1.changeCustomerNumber(customerNumber) print("Customer name: " + customer1.name) print("Customer address: " + customer1.address) print("Customer telephone number: " + customer1.telephone) print("Customer number: " + customer1.customerNumber) print("On mailing list: " + customer1.OnMailingList) customer1.changeOnMailingList() print("On mailing list: " + customer1.OnMailingList) main()

  • Testing variable types in Python

    Hello, I'm creating an initialising function for the class 'Room', and found that the program wouldn't accept the tests I was doing on the input variables. • Trouble accessing Mutable array

    - by Jared Gross
    Im having trouble with my for loop where I am trying to index user names. I am able to separate my original array into individual objects but am not able to send the value to a new array that I need to reference later on. The value and count for userNames in my self.userNamesArray = userNames; line is correct. But right after that when I log self.userNamesArray, I get (null). Any tips cause I'm not completely sure I'm cheers! .h @property (nonatomic, copy) NSMutableArray *userNamesArray; .m - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { self.friendsRelation = [[PFUser currentUser] objectForKey:@"friendsRelation"]; PFQuery *query = [self.friendsRelation query]; [query orderByAscending:@"username"]; [query findObjectsInBackgroundWithBlock:^(NSArray *objects, NSError *error) { if (error) { NSLog(@"Error: %@ %@", error, [error userInfo]); } else { self.friends = objects; NSArray *users = [self.friends valueForKey:@"username"]; NSLog(@"username:%@", users); //Create an array of name wrappers and pass to the root view controller. NSMutableArray *userNames = [[NSMutableArray alloc] initWithCapacity:[self.friends count]]; for (NSString *user in users) { componentsSeparatedByCharactersInSet:charSet]; NSArray *nameComponents = [user componentsSeparatedByString:@" "]; UserNameWrapper *userNameWrapper = [[UserNameWrapper alloc] initWithUserName:nil nameComponents:nameComponents]; [userNames addObject:userNameWrapper]; } self.userNamesArray = userNames; NSLog(@"userNamesArray:%@",self.userNamesArray); [self.tableView reloadData]; } Here's the code where I need to reference the self.userNamesArray where again, it is comping up nil. - (void)setUserNamesArray:(NSMutableArray *)newDataArray { if (newDataArray != self.userNamesArray) { self.userNamesArray = [newDataArray mutableCopy]; if (self.userNamesArray == nil) { self.sectionsArray = nil; NSLog(@"user names empty"); } else { [self configureSections]; } } }

  • Need help with yum,python and php in CentOS. (I made a complete mess!)

    - by pek
    Hello, a while back I wanted to install some plugins for Trac but it required python 2.5 I tried installing it (I don't remember how) and the only thing I managed was to have two versions of python (2.4 and 2.5). Trac still uses the old version but the console uses 2.5 (python -V = Python 2.5.2). Anyway, the problem is not python, the problem is yum (which uses python). I am trying to upgrade my PHP version from 5.1.x to 5.2.x. I tried following this tutorial but when I reach the step with yum I get this error: [root@XXX]# yum update Loading "installonlyn" plugin Setting up Update Process Setting up repositories Reading repository metadata in from local files Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/yum", line 29, in ? yummain.main(sys.argv[1:]) File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 94, in main result, resultmsgs = base.doCommands() File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 381, in doCommands return self.yum_cli_commands[self.basecmd].doCommand(self, self.basecmd, self.extcmds) File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yumcommands.py", line 150, in doCommand return base.updatePkgs(extcmds) File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 672, in updatePkgs self.doRepoSetup() File "/usr/share/yum-cli/cli.py", line 109, in doRepoSetup self.doSackSetup(thisrepo=thisrepo) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/init.py", line 338, in doSackSetup self.repos.populateSack(which=repos) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/repos.py", line 200, in populateSack sack.populate(repo, with, callback, cacheonly) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/yumRepo.py", line 91, in populate dobj = repo.cacheHandler.getPrimary(xml, csum) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/sqlitecache.py", line 100, in getPrimary return self._getbase(location, checksum, 'primary') File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/sqlitecache.py", line 86, in _getbase (db, dbchecksum) = self.getDatabase(location, metadatatype) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/sqlitecache.py", line 82, in getDatabase db = self.makeSqliteCacheFile(filename,cachetype) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/sqlitecache.py", line 245, in makeSqliteCacheFile self.createTablesPrimary(db) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/yum/sqlitecache.py", line 165, in createTablesPrimary cur.execute(q) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/sqlite/main.py", line 244, in execute self.rs = self.con.db.execute(SQL) _sqlite.DatabaseError: near "release": syntax error Any help? • Google Website Optimizer: track AJAX

    - by Jorre
    I am tracking AJAX goals in Google Analytics with no problems. But I would like to use Google Website Optimizer to see what buttons or headlines get the most leads in our newsletter subscription form. Since a new subscription only triggers AJAX/Javascript, I cannot add a separate success/thankyou.html page to track in Google Website Analyzer. There is not much to find in Google's documentation about this. Has anyone been able to do this?

  • Light and simple bugtracker for a small team

    - by Varnenchik
    I'm looking for a simple and light tool for tracking ideas and bugs for small physics lab team (4 members). Bugzilla and Trac have too much fields and other stuff for us. I don’t think that we need more than issue descriptions and simple categorization. But we are not happy with text and excel files suggested here. Could you please advise me anything easy to install preferably?

  • Start a git commit message with a hashmark (#)

    - by knittl
    Git treats lines starting with # as comment lines when committing. this is very annoying when working with a ticket tracking system, and trying to write the ticket number at the beginning of the line, e.g. #123 salt hashed passwords git will simply remove the line from the commit message. is there any way to escape the hash? i tried \ and !, but nothing works. whitespaces before # are preserved, so they aren't a working solution to the problem either.

  • JIRA or Trac?

    - by seedhead
    I used Atlassian JIRA for bug and issue tracking at my last job. I absolutely loved it and it was particularly easy on the eyes. My present company is using Trac instead, and while it does do all the basics, I am finding it really lacking, particularly with the inability to easily setup multiple projects and link issues. Oh, and the fact that it uses SQLLite is a bit of an issue for me to. Does anyone have any other good reasons to switch?
