  hi, I have created dynamic tab function. When i create dynamic tab it will create pageview for that tab. But when i deleted that tab that pageview is not deleting. Please note that the images changes for each row and I am creating the controller using lazy initialization that is I create or alloc it whenever I need it. I saw on internet many people facing the same issue, but very rare good solutions. I have multiple views using the same way and I see almost memory raised to 4MB within 20-25 view transitions. • TabHost disappears after locking the phone and reopening it:

  I have a weird issue with my TabHost in my FragmentActivity that contains a ViewPager. The problem is that when I close my phone (press the power button) while I use my application, and then I turn back the phone and my application gets reopened, at this point my TabHost is missing. So the closing of my phone is causes the TabHost to disappear. • How do I constrain a container's height to the height of a specific content element?

  I'm trying to do something which seems like it should be extremely simple and yet I can't see how. I have a very simple layout, a TextBox with an image next to it, similar to the way it might look adorned with an ErrorProvider in a WinForms application. The problem is, I want the image to be no higher than the TextBox it's next to. If I lay it out like this, say: <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="Auto"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/> </Grid.ColumnDefinitions> <TextBox Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="0" MinWidth="100"/> <Image Grid.Row="0" Grid.Column="1" Source="error.png" /> </Grid> the row will size to the height of the image if the image is taller than the TextBox. This also happens if I use a DockPanel or StackPanel. The naive solution would be to bind the Height to the TextBox's ActualHeight. I'm sure this is wrong. But what's right?

  Hi I'm new to javascript/jQuery this really has me stumped. What I'm trying to achieve here is On toggling a#sameDayTab jquery will look for .changeAlert and fadeOut it's container div, when toggled again the div will fade in (this works well.) Each toggle will also call a function that tells me how many .changeAlert's are present on the page and updates the number appropriately in a span. The problem is when I first click the toggled anchor the number of visible should be 0 as the .changeAlert has been hidden by fadeOut instead it returns the number of classes present on page load this value never changes no matter how many times the toggle is activated.   I have no clue what I'm doing wrong here! This should be working I believe. I'm writing a chrome extension and this should get the current tab's url and set the html of #current-tab to the url (for testing purposes). The code successfully gets to the callback, but it says that tab.url is undefined when I put it in an alert box, and it does not put it's value in #current-tab. • Fonts, goes back to default size

• (Ordered) Set Partitions in fixed-size Blocks

  Here is a function I would like to write but am unable to do so. Even if you don't / can't give a solution I would be grateful for tips. For example, I know that there is a correlation between the ordered represantions of the sum of an integer and ordered set partitions but that alone does not help me in finding the solution. So here is the description of the function I need: The Task Create an efficient* function List<int[]> createOrderedPartitions(int n_1, int n_2,..., int n_k) that returns a list of arrays of all set partions of the set {0,...,n_1+n_2+...+n_k-1} in number of arguments blocks of size (in this order) n_1,n_2,...,n_k (e.g. n_1=2, n_2=1, n_3=1 -> ({0,1},{3},{2}),...). Here is a usage example: int[] partition = createOrderedPartitions(2,1,1).get(0); partition[0]; // -> 0 partition[1]; // -> 1 partition[2]; // -> 3 partition[3]; // -> 2 Note that the number of elements in the list is (n_1+n_2+...+n_n choose n_1) * (n_2+n_3+...+n_n choose n_2) * ... * (n_k choose n_k). Also, createOrderedPartitions(1,1,1) would create the permutations of {0,1,2} and thus there would be 3! = 6 elements in the list. * by efficient I mean that you should not initially create a bigger list like all partitions and then filter out results. You should do it directly. Extra Requirements If an argument is 0 treat it as if it was not there, e.g. createOrderedPartitions(2,0,1,1) should yield the same result as createOrderedPartitions(2,1,1). But at least one argument must not be 0. Of course all arguments must be = 0. Remarks The provided pseudo code is quasi Java but the language of the solution doesn't matter. In fact, as long as the solution is fairly general and can be reproduced in other languages it is ideal. Actually, even better would be a return type of List<Tuple<Set>> (e.g. when creating such a function in Python). However, then the arguments wich have a value of 0 must not be ignored. createOrderedPartitions(2,0,2) would then create [({0,1},{},{2,3}),({0,2},{},{1,3}),({0,3},{},{1,2}),({1,2},{},{0,3}),...] Background I need this function to make my mastermind-variation bot more efficient and most of all the code more "beautiful". Take a look at the filterCandidates function in my source code. There are unnecessary / duplicate queries because I'm simply using permutations instead of specifically ordered partitions. Also, I'm just interested in how to write this function. My ideas for (ugly) "solutions" Create the powerset of {0,...,n_1+...+n_k}, filter out the subsets of size n_1, n_2 etc. and create the cartesian product of the n subsets. However this won't actually work because there would be duplicates, e.g. ({1,2},{1})... First choose n_1 of x = {0,...,n_1+n_2+...+n_n-1} and put them in the first set. Then choose n_2 of x without the n_1 chosen elements beforehand and so on. You then get for example ({0,2},{},{1,3},{4}). Of course, every possible combination must be created so ({0,4},{},{1,3},{2}), too, and so on. Seems rather hard to implement but might be possible. • Delphi Pascal - Using SetFilePointerEx and GetFileSizeEx, Getting Physical Media exact size when reading as a file

  I am having trouble understanding how to delcare GetFileSizeEx and SetFilePointerEx in Delphi 2009 so that I can use them since they are not in the RTL or Windows.pas. I was able to compile with the following: function GetFileSizeEx(hFile: THandle; lpFileSizeHigh: Pointer): DWORD; external 'kernel32'; Then using GetFileSizeEx(PD, Pointer(DriveSize)); to get the size. But could not get it to work, the disk handle I am using is valid and I have had no problem reading the data or working under the 2gb mark with the older API's. GetFileSize of course returns 4294967295. I have had greater trouble trying to use SetFilePointerEx with the data types it uses. The overall project needs to read the data from a flash card, which is not a problem at all I can do this. My problem is that I can not find the length or size of the media I will be reading. I have code I have used in the past to do this with media under 2GB. But now that I need to read media over 2GB it is a problem. If you still dont understand I am dumping a card with all data including the boot record, etc. This is the code I would normally use to read from the physical disk to grab say the boot record and dump it to file: SetFilePointer(PD,0,nil,FILE_BEGIN); SetLength(Buffer,512); ReadFile(PD,Buffer[0],512,BytesReturned,nil); I just need to figure out how to find the end of an 8gb card and so on as well as being able to set a file pointer beyond the 2gb barrier.   Hello! My main issue is that I want to display an custom error page when an uploaded file exceeds allowed size (maxRequestLength in web.config). When the big file is uploaded an HttpException is thrown before my upload action method in the controller is invoked. This is expected. I have tried to catch the exception in a custom attribute and also to override OnException in the controller. Why isnt it possible to catch the exception in either the attribute or the OnException method? Its possible though to catch the exception in Application_Error in global.asax but neither Response.Redirect nor Server.Transfer works for redirecting to the custom error page. Server.Transfer gives the "failed to process child request" error and response.redirect gives the "Http headers already sent" error. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Marcus

• Size of static libraries generated by XCode

  I have a project tree in XCode that looks like this: AppProject depends on ObjcWrapper that in turn depends on PureCppLib. ObjcWrapper and PureCppLib are static library projects. Combined, all sources barely reach 15k lines of code, and, as expected, the size of resulting binary is about 750Kb in release mode and slightly over 1Mb in debug mode. So far, so good. However, ObjcWraper.a and PureCppLib.a are over 6Mb each in either mode. So the first question is why it is so. But more importantly, how can I ensure that those static libs do not include parts or all of the source code? Thanks in advance!

• iphone - calculating the font size

  I have to show a label with font size = 14 when the view is 480x320. Supposing I would like to do this in a way that my code will be working well for all future device's screen sizes, including iPad and others following (I am sure more will come), what is the best way to do that? I could do this proportionally, I mean, if the scale increased X, increase the fonts X, but my concern is the different aspect ratios of the devices. The iPhone aspect ratio is 1.5, but iPad's is 1.33, and other aspect ratios can come... I am not sure if this simple scale method will be enough to produce font consistency across all devices. Any suggestions? thanks for any help.

• Decoding bitmaps in Android with the right size

  I decode bitmaps from the SD card using BitmapFactory.decodeFile. Sometimes the bitmaps are bigger than what the application needs or that the heap allows, so I use BitmapFactory.Options.inSampleSize to request a subsampled (smaller) bitmap. The problem is that the platform does not enforce the exact value of inSampleSize, and I sometimes end up with a bitmap either too small, or still too big for the available memory. From http://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/BitmapFactory.Options.html#inSampleSize: Note: the decoder will try to fulfill this request, but the resulting bitmap may have different dimensions that precisely what has been requested. Also, powers of 2 are often faster/easier for the decoder to honor. How should I decode bitmaps from the SD card to get a bitmap of the exact size I need while consuming as little memory as possible to decode it?

• Virtual Earth / Bing maps javascript file size

  I am working with a site that uses virtual earth for its mapping. Unfortunately the file size of the referenced javascript file, ecn.dev.virtualearth.net/mapcontrol/mapcontrol.ashx?v=6.2, is 200 something kb before being expanded (to 970kb). As our site runs under https this file is not cached on the client, and can cause a few seconds delay to users, made more substantial in times of high load. My question is, is there anyway to get virtual earth to run smaller, or have more efficient lazy loading? At the moment it looks like our hands are tied.

• UITableViewCellStyleDefault image size

  Hello all, I am getting some odd behavior from stock table cells, or maybe not odd, maybe I am making some assumptions. I create the cells as follows: cell = [[[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleDefault reuseIdentifier:CellIdentifier] autorelease]; Then I assign an image to the default imageView property. My image usually comes in from a user, so it might be larger than the default size. To take care of this I: [cell.imageView setContentMode:UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFit]; which I expected to scale the image for me within the control, but in reality, the images are all over the map. So, is there a proper way to constrain the image in stock cell types? Thanks in advance!

• Caching videos but of 0 Size

  Hi everyone, i have recently install cachevideos on linux with squid, its working but when it caches the video the video is just of 0 bytes in size, in the videocache.log file something like this appears 2011-02-08 19:46:37,235 INFO 192.168.1.5 - REQUEST - http://www.youtube.com/get_video?tmi=1&noflv=1&video_id=HfgZnBaHbt8&t=vjVQa1PpcFN0gQqMeI0xmahi0fFgDO5n59r4VrXgQmM=&el=detailpage&asv=3&fmt=34 2011-02-08 19:46:38,529 INFO 192.168.1.5 HfgZnBaHbt8 DOWNLOAD YOUTUBE 0 Video was downloaded and cached. on my localhost/videocache/youtube , i can see the file but its of 0 bytes and when i access the file from browser , in the videocache directory it tells me that video has been served from cache, but how come i can be assure that a 0 byte video is cached! Whats the problem please help me i am atlost!! the help at cachevideo.com is not working because their security captcha cant be displayed and thus i am unable to contact anywhere!! Please help me out!!

• Operand size conflict in x86 Assembly??

  I'm a novice programmer who is attempting assembly for the first time. Sorry in advance if this is an incredibly lame question. I have a character stored in the EAX register, but I need to move it to my DL register. When I try: mov dl, eax I get an error C2443: operand size conflict. I know that the eax register is 32 bit while the dl is 8 bit... am I on to something?? How do I go about solving this.

  I'm just trying to convert some C code over to Java and I'm having a little trouble with String.printf. In C, to get a specific width based on a variable, I can use: printf("Current index = %*d\n", sz, index); and it will format the integer to be a specific size based on sz. Trying: System.out.println(String.format("Current index = %*d\n", sz, index)); results in an error since it doesn't like the *. I currently have the following kludge: System.out.println(String.format("Current index = %" + sz + "d\n", index)); but I'm hoping there's a slightly better way, yes?
