• Error executing child request for handler in plugin

  I'm using nop commerce open source. I wanted to show the recently add products in home page. so what I did is I activated plugin Nop JCarousel in the admin panel. But if I select "Recently view product" as a Data source type it is working fine.But if I select "recently add product" Data source type there is error coming up. it says Server Error in '/' Application.   I have a .htm page on a site, that for reasons I won't go into cannot be renamed .php I have added some php code to the top of the page, (sets a cookie and redirects to another page) and added the following to .htaccess to parse the .htm file as php AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 .html .htm As soon as this is added to .htaccess all apostrophe's change into questions marks. Using charset UTF-8 Can anyone offer a solution that does not involve renaming the file .php? Many thanks

  Hello, I have created an simple web server, leveraging .NET HttpListener class. I am using ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem() to spawn a thread to listen to incoming requests. Threaded method uses HttpListener.BeginGetContext(callback, listener), and in callback method I resume with HttpListener.EndGetContext() as well as raise an even to notify UI that listener received data. This is the question - how to raise that event? Initially I used ThreadPool: ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(state => ReceivedRequest(httpListenerContext, receivedRequestArgs)); But then started to doubt, maybe it should be a dedicated thread (as appose to waiting for a thread from pool): new Thread(() => ReceivedRequest(httpListenerContext, receivedRequestArgs)).Start(); Thoughts? 10X

  Hi. I have a HttpHandler for resizing images, round corners, reflection etc etc. This i working OK. The problem i have is, that some data is stored in cookies, and the cookies are send to images, when they are shown. Is there any way to disable this globally (cookie-free requests) in web.config, or even in the HttpHandler itself?   In a test project based of the nServiceBus pub/sub sample, I've replace the bus.publish with bus.send in the server. The server sends 50 messages with a 1sec wait after each 5 (ie 10 burst of 5 messages). The client does not get all the messages. The soln has 3 projects - Server, Client, and common messages. The server and client are hosted via the nServiceBus generic host. Only a single bus is defined. Both client and server are configured to use StructureMap builder and BinarySerialisation. • Launch ClickOnce via URL but not checking for updates

  I have a ClickOnce app that is frequently launched from another application via a URL. The URL includes some command-line arguments that load data, etc. Since the frequency of launching the app is so high, I want to cut out the check for version updates. So I implemented my own checking through the ApplicationDeployment class to avoid it. It works fine if you launch from the Start Menu once the app is installed. However, we also want to preserve the launch via URL behavior because it is advantageous in so many ways. But when launching via URL, the update check is always performed -- it seems IE isn't smart enough to look for the app in the local download area to see if it is already installed or not... Does anyone know of a way to get the "don't check for updates automatically" behavior while still using the URL launch mechanism? Actually, it looks like the issue is a Catch-22 in the ClickOnce model. If you launch with a URL, IE will always touch base with the host and check the version, updating if necessary, regardless of whether or not the app is flagged as "Don't check version". However, if you launch from the Start Menu, ClickOnce disables command-line arguments. Has anyone found any way around this, or know of a MS plan to fix it?

  currently I used SetUnhandledExceptionFilter() to provide callback to get information when an unhandled exception was occurred, that callback will provides me with EXCEPTION_RECORD which provides ExceptionAddress. [1]what is actually ExceptionAddress is? does it the address of function / code that gives exception, or the memory address that some function tried to access? [2]is there any better mechanism that could give me better information when unhandled exception occured? (I can't use debug mode or add any code that affect runtime performance, since crash is rare and only on release build when code run as fast as possible) [3]is there any way for me to get several callstack address when unhandled exception occured. [4]suppose ExceptionAddress has address A, and I have DLL X loaded and executed at base address A-x, and some other DLL Y at A+y, is it good to assume that crash was PROBABLY caused by code on DLL X?

• Encrypting an id in an URL in ASP.NET MVC

  I'm attempting to encode the encrypted id in the Url. I've tried different encodings, each fails: HttpUtility.HtmlEncode HttpUtility.UrlEncode HttpUtility.UrlPathEncode HttpUtility.UrlEncodeUnicode Update The problem was I when I encrypted a Guid and converted it to a base64 string it would contain unsafe url characters . Of course when I tried to navigate to a url containing unsafe characters IIS(7.5/ windows 7) would blow up. Url Encoding the base64 encrypted string would raise and error in IIS (The request filtering module is configured to deny a request that contains a double escape sequence.). I'm not sure how it detects double encoded strings but it did. After trying the above methods to encode the base64 encrypted string. I decided to remove the base64 encoding. However this leaves the encrypted text as a byte[]. I tried UrlEncoding the byte[], it's one of the overloads hanging off the httpUtility.Encode method. Again, while it was URL encoded, IIS did not like it and served up a "page not found." After digging around the net I came across a HexEncoding/Decoding class. Applying the Hex Encoding to the encrypted bytes did the trick. The output is url safe. On the other side, I haven't had any problems with decoding and decrypting the hex strings.

• Drupal Views api, add simple argument handler

  Background: I have a complex search form that stores the query and it's hash in a cache. Once the cache is set, I redirect to something like /searchresults/e6c86fadc7e4b7a2d068932efc9cc358 where that big long string on the end is the md5 hash of my query. I need to make a new argument for views to know what the hash is good for. The reason for all this hastle is because my original search form is way to complex and has way to many arguments to consider putting them all into the path and expecting to do the filtering with the normal views arguments. Now for my question. I have been reading views 2 documentation but not figuring out how to accomplish this custom argument. It doesn't seem to me like this should be as hard as it seems to me like it must be. Leaving aside any knowledge of the veiws api, it would seem that all I need is a callback function that will take the argument from the path as it's only argument and return a list of node id's to filter to. Can anyone point me to a solution or give me some example code? Thanks for your help! You guys are great. PS. I am pretty sure that my design is the best I can come up with, lets don't get off my question and into cross checking my design logic if we can help it.

In an unrelated question, I'd like to use threads here because I must retrieve many URLs; how can I create a multi-thread client to improve the speed?

  Hi guys. Trying to fiddle around with regex here, my first attempt. Im trying to extract some figures out of content from an XML tag. The content looks like this: www.blahblah.se/maps.aspx?isAlert=true&lat=51.958855252721&lon=-0.517657021473527 I need to extract the lat and long numerical vales out of each link. They will always be the same amount of characters, and the lon may or may not have a "-" sign.
