  • Using an array as parameter to a class.

    - by Gabriel A. Zorrilla
I have created an array Man: public main blah blah{ man = man[10]; } Man has fields such as Man.name; Man.age; ... In Man class, there is a OnClick method that opens a new window showing its name and age. public Man(){ Onclick(){ InfoWindow showinfo = new InfoWindow(this.getid()) // If this is Man[2] the id would be 2. } And in InfoWindow class: public class InfoWindow extends JFrame{ public InfoWindow(Man selectedMan){ setSize(300, 200); JLabel info = new JLabel(selectedMan.getname()); add(info); info.setVisible(true); } } Basically, that's wanna acomplish (show in pseudocode), pass a Man[i] into a class that when a window is created, shows the info related to that man. This is how i'm actualy trying to implement it but it's not working, i'm pretty sure there is a misconception from me in some part. Any help?

  • JFace ApplicationWindow: createContents isn't working

    - by jasonh
I'm attempting to create a window that is divided into three parts. A non-resizable header and footer and then a content area that expands to fill the remaining area in the window. To get started, I created the following class: public class MyWindow extends ApplicationWindow { Color white; Font mainFont; Font headerFont; public MyWindow() { super(null); } protected Control createContents(Composite parent) { Display currentDisplay = Display.getCurrent(); white = new Color(currentDisplay, 255, 255, 255); mainFont = new Font(currentDisplay, "Tahoma", 8, 0); headerFont = new Font(currentDisplay, "Tahoma", 16, 0); // Main layout Composites and overall FillLayout Composite container = new Composite(parent, SWT.NO_RADIO_GROUP); Composite header = new Composite(container, SWT.NO_RADIO_GROUP); Composite mainContents = new Composite(container, SWT.NO_RADIO_GROUP);; Composite footer = new Composite(container, SWT.NO_RADIO_GROUP);; FillLayout containerLayout = new FillLayout(SWT.VERTICAL); container.setLayout(containerLayout); // Header Label headerLabel = new Label(header, SWT.LEFT); headerLabel.setText("Header"); headerLabel.setFont(headerFont); // Main contents Label contentsLabel = new Label(mainContents, SWT.CENTER); contentsLabel.setText("Main Content Here"); contentsLabel.setFont(mainFont); // Footer Label footerLabel = new Label(footer, SWT.CENTER); footerLabel.setText("Footer Here"); footerLabel.setFont(mainFont); return container; } public void dispose() { cleanUp(); } @Override protected void finalize() throws Throwable { cleanUp(); super.finalize(); } private void cleanUp() { if (headerFont != null) { headerFont.dispose(); } if (mainFont != null) { mainFont.dispose(); } if (white != null) { white.dispose(); } } } And this results in an empty window when I run it like this: public static void main(String[] args) { MyWindow myWindow = new MyWindow(); myWindow.setBlockOnOpen(true); myWindow.open(); Display.getCurrent().dispose(); } What am I doing wrong that I don't see three labels the way I'm trying to display them? The createContents code is definitely being called, I can step through it in Eclipse in debug mode.

  • How to "chain" modal dialogs in YUI 2 ?

    - by giulio
I have a modal dialog box presented in Yahoo UI. The user selects a value from dialog "A", and then I want to present another modal dialog box to collect some more data in dialog "B". I have been using the YAHOO.widget.Dialog successfully. The problem seems to be that you can't initiate dialog window "B" from the handler function of dialog "A". So, how can you programmatically launch a second dialog window after the user hits the "OK" button on the first ? (I had tried to create an additional Listener for a field that is updated in dialog "A" to trigger dialog "B" but this doesn't work either.) Thanks..

  • HTML Button's jQuery function is having trouble with MVC FileResult

    - by Aaron Salazar
I intended for this function to call my MVC action method that returns a CSV report. $(function() { $('#exportButton').click(function() { $.get('/curReport/GetCSVReport'); }); }); If I make a button like the code below then, when it is clicked, I'm given the "Open with/Save File" window. <input type="button" value="Export" onClick="location.href='CurReport/GetCSVReport'"> However, when I change my button to use my jQuery function then, although GetCSVReport() is called I'm not given the "Open with/Save File" window. Here is my GetCSVReport() public FileResult GetCSVReport() { ... return fileResult; } How can I get my jQuery function to work like the onClick? Thank you, Aaron

  • JRuby Slick CanvasGameContainer using too much heap memory

    - by Jwosty
I'm using Java's Slick library (great, by the way) just fine from JRuby. To start a game, I use AppGameContainer which works completely fine and as expected, but if I try to use CanvasGameContainer instead (I want a resizable window and Slick uses an old version of LWJGL that doesn't support this directly) it throws this error: Fri Jun 01 10:22:07 MDT 2012 INFO:Slick Build #274 Error: Your application used more stack memory than the safety cap of 2048K. Specify -J-Xss####k to increase it (#### = cap size in KB). Specify -w for full StackOverflowError stack trace I've tried increasing the heap size until my computer can't allocate any more memory, but to no avail. The CanvasGameContainer uses an awt window to display, which is resizable. Any ideas on why this is happening and/or how to fix this?

  • Displaying webcam feed using opencv and python

    - by Mitch
Hi ive been trying to create a simple program with python which utilises opencv to get a video feed from my webcam and display it on the screen. I know im partly there because the window is created and the light on my webcam flicks on, but it just doesnt seem to show anything in the window. hopefully someone can explain what im doing wrong. import cv cv.NamedWindow("w1", cv.CV_WINDOW_AUTOSIZE) capture = cv.CaptureFromCAM(0) def repeat(): frame = cv.QueryFrame(capture) cv.ShowImage("w1", frame) while True: repeat() on an unrelated note, i have noticed that my webcam sometimes changes its index number in cv.CaptureFromCAM and sometimes i need to put in 0, 1 or 2 even though i only have one camera connected and i havnt unplugged it (i know because the light doesnt come on unless i change the index). is there a way to get python to determine the correct index? thanks Mitch

  • WPF: How to get the event when one FrameworkElement comes in contact with other FrameworkElement

    - by Raghav
I am developing a small application with images and trash box icon on right hand bottom. I have multiple images floating in the main window, and using mouse I can move image from one corner to other corner of window, left, right, top and bottom. I can't figure out how do I catch an event when a image touches and panel (with trash box image), in the right hand corner. Does anybody knows which event or handler to listen? This is not a drag and drop case since my images are floating so no point using drag and drop. Thank you

  • MonoDevelop/GTK OS X Usability Issues?

    - by Tylo
Does anyone else have infuriating usability issues while trying to work with MonoDevelop in OS X Snow Leopard? The ones that interrupt my flow the most are associated with button clicks not responding until I move the window around a little bit. Afterwards, I can get maybe one or two button presses in before I have to repeat moving the window around. I've heard this is a GTK problem that has nothing to do with MonoDevelop in the past and would like to know if anyone else experiences this or has found a way to fix it?

  • Text orientation

    - by Psytronic
    Hi Guys I know you can do this to get vertical text in a tab header: <Window x:Class="Abodemploy.Window1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:x="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml" Title="Window1" Height="300" Width="300" <Grid <TabControl Margin="0" Name="tabControl1" FlowDirection="LeftToRight" TabStripPlacement="Left" <TabItem <TabItem.Header <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" <TextBlockHomes</TextBlock </StackPanel </TabItem.Header <TabItem.LayoutTransform <TransformGroup <RotateTransform Angle="90" / </TransformGroup </TabItem.LayoutTransform <Grid / </TabItem </TabControl </Grid </Window However the text letters are sideways. What I'd like (if possible) is for the letter orientation to be correct (ie upwards), but the text flow downwards, is this possible, or am I just dreaming the impossible dream? Thanks Psy

  • Fire Fox 3.6 - location.href not working in JSP

    - by user299873
I have jsp page with method = POST and action='/mydir/mypage/nextpage' I have a button : < button title='Continue' onclick="this.form.perform.value='cancelButton'; javascript:doCloseWindow();" Continue < /button and java script method like: function doCloseWindow(){ location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; } It does not work in fire fox 3.6. On click of button; it redirects to the path I mentioned in form action. With Tamper data I find that the request goes to URL ( as in method ) with GET and then it re-directs to form's action URL. I added return false in the method call also.-- javascript:doCloseWindow();return false" I tired various combination like window.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; window.document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; But no success.

    - by Sunny
Hi, In ASP.NET -- I want to popup an alert window in the case of an event. I don't have a button, i do not load the page at that event. When I searched i got a lot of java script examples but I can't use them as they work either on a button click or on page load. I just want a pop window to come as soon as I capture a particular event. I keep checking for the events every 5 second, as soon as i capture one event, there is a switch case for the actions to follow according to the event captured. For one particular case, i need one pop up "Sorry" along with an OK button. Can someone tell me what to do. Thanks

  • Big Data Matters with ODI12c

    - by Madhu Nair
contributed by Mike Eisterer On October 17th, 2013, Oracle announced the release of Oracle Data Integrator 12c (ODI12c).  This release signifies improvements to Oracle’s Data Integration portfolio of solutions, particularly Big Data integration. Why Big Data = Big Business Organizations are gaining greater insights and actionability through increased storage, processing and analytical benefits offered by Big Data solutions.  New technologies and frameworks like HDFS, NoSQL, Hive and MapReduce support these benefits now. As further data is collected, analytical requirements increase and the complexity of managing transformations and aggregations of data compounds and organizations are in need for scalable Data Integration solutions. ODI12c provides enterprise solutions for the movement, translation and transformation of information and data heterogeneously and in Big Data Environments through: The ability for existing ODI and SQL developers to leverage new Big Data technologies. A metadata focused approach for cataloging, defining and reusing Big Data technologies, mappings and process executions. Integration between many heterogeneous environments and technologies such as HDFS and Hive. Generation of Hive Query Language. Working with Big Data using Knowledge Modules  ODI12c provides developers with the ability to define sources and targets and visually develop mappings to effect the movement and transformation of data.  As the mappings are created, ODI12c leverages a rich library of prebuilt integrations, known as Knowledge Modules (KMs).  These KMs are contextual to the technologies and platforms to be integrated.  Steps and actions needed to manage the data integration are pre-built and configured within the KMs.  The Oracle Data Integrator Application Adapter for Hadoop provides a series of KMs, specifically designed to integrate with Big Data Technologies.  The Big Data KMs include: Check Knowledge Module Reverse Engineer Knowledge Module Hive Transform Knowledge Module Hive Control Append Knowledge Module File to Hive (LOAD DATA) Knowledge Module File-Hive to Oracle (OLH-OSCH) Knowledge Module  Nothing to beat an Example: To demonstrate the use of the KMs which are part of the ODI Application Adapter for Hadoop, a mapping may be defined to move data between files and Hive targets.  The mapping is defined by dragging the source and target into the mapping, performing the attribute (column) mapping (see Figure 1) and then selecting the KM which will govern the process.  In this mapping example, movie data is being moved from an HDFS source into a Hive table.  Some of the attributes, such as “CUSTID to custid”, have been mapped over. Figure 1  Defining the Mapping Before the proper KM can be assigned to define the technology for the mapping, it needs to be added to the ODI project.  The Big Data KMs have been made available to the project through the KM import process.   Generally, this is done prior to defining the mapping. Figure 2  Importing the Big Data Knowledge Modules Following the import, the KMs are available in the Designer Navigator. v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} Normal 0 false false false EN-US ZH-TW X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman";} Figure 3  The Project View in Designer, Showing Installed IKMs Once the KM is imported, it may be assigned to the mapping target.  This is done by selecting the Physical View of the mapping and examining the Properties of the Target.  In this case MOVIAPP_LOG_STAGE is the target of our mapping. Figure 4  Physical View of the Mapping and Assigning the Big Data Knowledge Module to the Target Alternative KMs may have been selected as well, providing flexibility and abstracting the logical mapping from the physical implementation.  Our mapping may be applied to other technologies as well. The mapping is now complete and is ready to run.  We will see more in a future blog about running a mapping to load Hive. To complete the quick ODI for Big Data Overview, let us take a closer look at what the IKM File to Hive is doing for us.  ODI provides differentiated capabilities by defining the process and steps which normally would have to be manually developed, tested and implemented into the KM.  As shown in figure 5, the KM is preparing the Hive session, managing the Hive tables, performing the initial load from HDFS and then performing the insert into Hive.  HDFS and Hive options are selected graphically, as shown in the properties in Figure 4. Figure 5  Process and Steps Managed by the KM What’s Next Big Data being the shape shifting business challenge it is is fast evolving into the deciding factor between market leaders and others. Now that an introduction to ODI and Big Data has been provided, look for additional blogs coming soon using the Knowledge Modules which make up the Oracle Data Integrator Application Adapter for Hadoop: Importing Big Data Metadata into ODI, Testing Data Stores and Loading Hive Targets Generating Transformations using Hive Query language Loading Oracle from Hadoop Sources For more information now, please visit the Oracle Data Integrator Application Adapter for Hadoop web site, http://www.oracle.com/us/products/middleware/data-integration/hadoop/overview/index.html Do not forget to tune in to the ODI12c Executive Launch webcast on the 12th to hear more about ODI12c and GG12c. However, I see the following in the autos and local window when in debug mode for the value of unicodeString which is what I wanted to display. "??????????" How do I print out the correct result to the console as what the autos and local window for debugging demonstrated?

  • Does JSON.js cause conflicts with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.serialize

    - by David Robbins
I am using Telerik controls in my webforms and want to serialize object on the client. Since I am getting a stackoverflow error with Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.deserialize I wanted to try JSON. With both JSON and and the MS library I get "Sys.Application is undefined." Has anyone encountered this what did you do as a work around? EDIT I am serializing my object on a parent page and passing them via an argument to a child window. The child window is in an IFRAME tag. The object can be used in the child page, but I receive the stackoverflow error when I serialize it. The object is an Array of objects.

  • Why is XCode Organizer console sometimes empty when I connect my iPhone

    - by toofah
When testing my iPhone app I have found it incredibly useful to log information to the console window. I think it is amazing that I can send out an adhoc build to my co-workers and if they experience problems I am able to plug their iPhone into my mac and grab their console output. However, sometimes the console window is blank when we do this. Why is this the case? The code has been built with logging enabled. Besides that, it seems that the console output, when I see it, contains information about not only my app, but other iphone system logging. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

  • jQuery: Simple menu

    - by JamesBrownIsDead
    I'm trying to learn jQuery by implementing a simple menu. I've got <div> elements that act as buttons and have links in them. I'm trying to add onclick events to the divs that navigate the browser to the link's address in the div. This is basically my pseudo-code. What would the real code be? How can I improve this? Any feedback appreciated! // Iterate over each menu button $('.masterHeaderMenuButton').each(function () { // Get the link in each button and set the button's onclick to // redirect to the link's address var url = $('a', this).attr('href'); this.click(function () { window.location.href = url; }); // If the user is on the page for the current button, hilight it if (window.location.href === url) { $('a', this).addClass("masterHeaderMenuButtonSelected"); } });

  • Zend Framework - tinyMCE - plugin folders are mistaken to be controllers? Help

    - by Ali
Hi guys I'm trying to integrate the tinymce plugin however I'm running into problems such that almost every feature which requires a plugin to be rendered i.e the add url popup or add image pop up - it opens an empty pop up window. Even if I try to open it inline I get the same blank popup window.. I noticed that whenever I click on lets say url button in tinymCE it opens with reference to my localhost and because of that I'm assuming my application is mistaking the containing javascript folder to be some controller or action. How can I fix this please - I've set up mod rewrite to allow clean urls as well as ignore the javascript folder but this is a different issue altogether :( what should I be looking at here.. I can't notice any error sin firebug..
