  • Cannot get Request.Form by name in ASP.NET

    I have an ASP.NET page which utilizes jQuery for an autocomplete-type scenario. The jQuery tucks the actual selected values into a hidden field it creates on the fly, but for some reason I cannot get the value of that standard HTML field on postback by calling Request.Form["HiddenFieldName"]. I can see it by ordinal in the Request.Form object, but if I add/remove controls it will break. Any suggestions?

I need to be able to get list of all Photos for a given Gallery. Is it possible to add Gallery filter to Photo's admin page? If it's possible, how to do it best?

Now, we have a slave connection open at host device. At host device, I want to know the bluetooth address of remote device. Now, the wicked bug: - when I run the startRecognition method in the beginning of the execution of the other application, this codes works very well. But when I run it some time after the beginning, this codes works but the handleRecognition method is never called. I see that the words are recognized because they appear on the Microsoft Speech Recognition app, but the handler method is never called. Do you know what's the problem with this code?     Hey guys, I have the following code in an action: @user = @current_user @user.votes[1430]='up' @user.update_attributes(params[:user]) Votes is a string type, there is no default value - I just want to set it for the first time when this action occurs. Unfortunately I get this error: NoMethodError You have a nil object when you didn't expect it! The error occurred while evaluating nil.votes any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  • HTML: how to set children element width = browser window width ?

    hi, I want to display a children element of my html page all over the browser window.. in other words I would like to enlarge it and keep it the same size the browser window also when it is resized after loading. I was wondering if I have to move this object outside the parent elements or I can set these properties with css. At the moment if I set width:100% and height:100%, it fits the parent (of course) and not the window. thanks

    I want to ensure that a user editing a particular model is saved in that models updated_by (FK User) field. I'm using mostly ModelForms (not necessarily the built in Admin), and wondering: In what cases would I need to override ModelAdmin.save_model() or ModelAdmin.save_formset()? Or, is that doing it wrong? If it's just the models' save() method that needs to be overridden, is there a proper way to access the request object there?

  • How to store array of NSManagedObjects in an NSManagedObject

    I am loading my app with a property list of data from a web site. This property list file contains an NSArray of NSDictionaries which itself contains an NSArray of NSDictionaries. Basically, I'm trying to load a tableView of restaurant menu categories each of which contains menu items. My property list file is fine. I am able to load the file and loop through the nodes structure creating NSEntityDescriptions and am able to save to Core Data. Everything works fine and expectedly except that in my menu category managed object, I have an NSArray of menu items for that category. Later on, when I fetch the categories, the pointers to the menu items in a category is lost and I get all the menu items. Am I suppose to be using predicates or does Core Data keep track of my object graph for me? Can anyone look at how I am loading Core Data and point out the flaw in my logic? I'm pretty good with either SQL and OOP by themselves, but am a little bewildered by ORM. I thought that I should just be able to use aggregation in my managed objects and that the framework would keep track of the pointers for me, but apparently not.   • Bind to Count of items in the DataContext

    I want to bind to the Count/amount of items within my DataContext. I have an object, lets say person which has a List<address> as a property. I would like to display the amount of addresses for that person ie: 5 or 6 or whatever the case may be. I've tried {Binding Path=address#.Count} and a few others but that doesnt seem to work.   • Hibernate Persistence problems with Bean Mapping (Dozer)

    I am using Hibernate 3, and having a particular issue when persisting a new Entity which has an association with an existing detached entity. Easiest way to explain this is via code samples. I have two entities, FooEntity and BarEntity, of which a BarEntity can be associated with many FooEntity: @Entity public class FooEntity implements Foo{ @Id private Long id; @ManyToOne(targetEntity = BarEntity.class) @JoinColumn(name = "bar_id", referencedColumnName = "id") @Cascade(value={CascadeType.ALL}) private Bar bar; } @Entity public class BarEntity implements Bar{ @Id private Long id; @OneToMany(mappedBy = "bar", targetEntity = FooEntity.class) private Set<Foo> foos; } Foo and Bar are interfaces that loosely define getters for the various fields. There are corresponding FooImpl and BarImpl classes that are essentially just the entity objects without the annotations. What I am trying to do is construct a new instance of FooImpl, and persist it after setting a number of fields. The new Foo instance will have its 'bar' member set to an existing Bar (runtime being a BarEntity) from the database (retrieved via session.get(..)). After the FooImpl has all of its properties set, Apache Dozer is used to map between the 'domain' object FooImpl and the Entity FooEntity. What Dozer is doing in the background is instantiating a new FooEntity and setting all of the matching fields. BarEntity is cloned as well via instantiation and set the FooEntity's 'bar' member. After this occurs, passing the new FooEntity object to persist. This throws the exception: org.hibernate.PersistentObjectException: detached entity passed to persist: com.company.entity.BarEntity Below is in code the steps that are occurring FooImpl foo = new FooImpl(); //returns at runtime a persistent BarEntity through session.get() Bar bar = BarService.getBar(1L); foo.setBar(bar); ... //This constructs a new instance of FooEntity, with a member 'bar' which itself is a new instance that is detached) FooEntity entityToPersist = dozerMapper.map(foo, FooEntity.class); ... session.persist(entityToPersist); I have been able to resolve this issue by either removing or changing the @Cascade annotation, but that limits future use for say adding a new Foo with a new Bar attached to it already. Is there some solution here I am missing? I would be surprised if this issue hasn't been solved somewhere before, either by altering how Dozer Maps the children of Foo or how Hibernate reacts to a detached Child Entity.

  • Which button called the function?

    I have two buttons which call the same function. That functions signature is - (IBAction)eraseTextField {...} I would like to figure out what button called the function. So I would like for the functions signature to be something like - (IBAction)eraseTextField: (id)sender {...}. Is there a way for the system to know to send the id of the calling object to a function that it calls? Thanks for the help.
