• Determining whether a visitor reached two different pages in one visit

  I have a funnel that I would like to track. Tracking this funnel won't work with the default "goal funnel" tracking in Google due to the fact that I am mixing events and pageviews. As such, I've created a series of reports: Visits to demo pages - An inclusion filter on "Page". Triggers an Event on these pages - An inclusion filter on "Page" and "Event Category". Does not bounce - An inclusion filter on "Page" and an exclusion filter on "Exit Page" for these same pages. Reach our storefront - ?? Purchase something - An inclusion filter on "Page" and a report that shows "Transactions". At a basic level, I need to track users who reached demo pages, then reached any page on our store. Intuitively, I created a segment, used two inclusive "Page" filters (one for the demo pages and one for any page in our store), and combined them with an "AND" operator. I thought this was working until I tried to do the same thing in a dashboard widget and on a custom report. When I tried the same thing in those areas, I got zero results. I figured this might be because widgets and custom report filters function differently from segment filters (the options are different for all of them), so I tried applying my "demo page && store page" segment to a report that gave me a general page list. All I saw was a list of the specific pages. I tried simplifying things by creating a custom report that showed all visits to store pages, then applied a segment that filtered for users who visited demo pages. This got me the same numbers as my "demo page && store page" segment, but showed a list of demo pages. This has led me to believe that the "demo page && store page segment" approach and the "demo segment && store report" functionally behave the same. However, this experience has left me questioning whether they're giving me what I want. Are these methods showing me all users who reached both sets of pages? Is there a better/easier/more standard way of doing this aside from looking at visitor flow reports? I'm trying to avoid a combination of custom variables/events and using the horizontal funnel approach since it would consume a large number of our limited goals and seems more complicated than is necessary for tracking this funnel.

• Multiple subnets on isc-dhcp-server using ddns with bind9

  On my network I have two subnets: 10.100.1.0/24 - Wired/wireless 10.100.7.0/24 - VPN Both subnets are served by isc-dhcp-server running on a Debian VM. This same VM runs bind9 for my DNS. ISC-DHCP-SERVER is configured to use DDNS and update BIND9 with hosts/IPs. Everything runs great until a device drops off the wired/wireless network and pops onto the VPN. When connecting on the VPN, a DHCP lease is handed out on the new subnet but DDNS does not update BIND9. Since the device has A/TXT/PTR records it appears ISC-DHCP-SERVER won't switch them to the new IP. The ASA is relaying the DHCP request from the VPN client to the VM running ISC-DHCP-SERVER. Is there a way to get DDNS working in this scenario?

  Today at WWDC, Steve Jobs gave his keynote and ended up having a failure on-stage when connecting to WiFi. Google had a similar issue a few weeks ago in the same conference center. Note that the network will be closed, and will not require internet access. What steps can I take to prevent interference from existing WiFi, Bluetooth, etc? How can I best prevent curious/malicious people from trying to intrude on my WiFi network? I am open to recommendations on specific models of routers.

  I installed Medisoft Patient Accounting Demo but every time I try to run it, I get this error: tblExclusiveNew: One of the Database property or the AdsConnection property must have a value. I click OK and then get this error: Exception AdsConnectionError in module MW.EXE at 001FA701. Must specify connection string before getting a server connection. The program then immediately exits. Then a get this error: Ar3import -An error has occurred dmIPCCommunication: No core product found I click close and then: Ar3import-An error has occurred An unspecified error has occurred, please call tech support Googling was no help. Even the Medisoft tech on the Medisoft forum thread I found was unable to fix it. Is this fixable?

To use it in your HTML when linking to an image, you would do the following: <img src="http://app.resrc.it//www.your-domain.com/img/img001.jpg"/> Some more background for SEO considerations: As an example, looking at their demo page's code, the src of the Arc de Triomphe photo — when the browser window is resized to be at a tablet-width — shows this particular file at it's widest. Any links to these images will pass on "link juice" to Re-SRC's site instead. You are serving a vast array of different image files to different people — some may link to one, others to another size. Then there's the question of what different search engine crawlers will see. Also: There seems to be no fallback option if their servers are down. Do you see any other concerns? Or, perhaps, do you not see those as concerns?

Are the tabs something they did in the HTML and the store domains are really masking to the ugly store URL?   Hi, I have a sortable list. When a new item is dropped into the list (from a draggable), I'd like to get access to it to perform some operations on it. This is what I have: $("#mySortableList").sortable({ receive: function(event, ui) { alert("this is the dropped item: " + ui.item.toString()); } }).disableSelection(); so "ui.item" is the element that was dropped, but it's not the duplicated item that will now be part of my list.   I built an AS3 image gallery using FlashDevelop. Before I zip up the application, I can run the image gallery in my browser by simply opening the index.html for the project. Everything works perfectly. I then zip up the project as proj-0.1.2.zip using winrar. I then unzip this newly created zip and try to load the application using the project index.html like above. The gallery doesn't function properly. From seeing what happens, it appears as though the image metadata is not present(but I'm not sure, see below). There are other applications as well that are broken. Videos don't load. If an application doesn't depend on any external assets then everything looks fine. Another thing..If I then build the FlashDevelop project and republish the swf..then it works in the index.html like I want. What is going on here? I want people to be able to fire up my demo apps out of the box by just running the index.html. If that doesn't always work and they have to figure out that they need to rebuild the SWF then that's pretty bad.

• Could someone explain gtk2hs drag and drop to me, the listDND.hs demo just isn't doing it for me?

  As the title says, I just don't get DND (or rather I understand the concept and I understand the order of callbacks, I just don't understand how to setup DND for actual usage.) I'd like to say that I've done DND stuff before in C, but considering I never really got that working... So I'm trying (and mostly succeeding, save DND) to write a text editor (using gtksourceview, because it has built in code highlighting.) Reasons are below if you want them. Anyways, there's not really a good DND demo or tutorial available for gtk2hs (listDND.hs just doesn't translate well in my head.) So what I'm asking is for code that demonstrates simple DND on a window widget (for example.) Ideally, it should accept drops from other windows (such as Thunar) and print out the information in string form. I think I can take it from there... Reasons: I'm running a fairly light weight setup, dwm and a few gtk+2 programs. I really don't want to have to pull in gtk+3 to get the current gedit from the repos (Arch Linux.) Currently, I'm using geany for all of my text editing needs, however, geany is a bit heavy for editing config files. Further, geany doesn't care for my terminal of choice (st;) so I don't even get the benefit of using it as an IDE. Meaning I'd like a lightweight text editor with syntax highlighting. I could configure emacs or vim or something, but that seems to me to be more of a hack then a proper solution. Thus my project was born. It's mostly working (aside from DND, all that's left is proper multi-tab support.) Admittedly, I could probably work this out if I wrote it in C, but there isn't that much state in a text editor so Haskell's been working fine with almost no need for mutable variables.

• jQuery UI Calendar displays too large, would like the demo size???

  So I downloaded a custom themed UI for jQuery and added the calendar control to my sight (Example: link text). In the example it shows/displays the size I would like but on my webpage it's about twice the size. why??? I do have a ton of other CSS but I don't have control over the look and feel of the page (Can't touch current CSS, MEH!!). Is there a way to get the demo look on my site?
