  • Permission denied error when trying to install with wubi

    I run into problem when tried to install Ubuntu 11.04 on Windows 7 using wubi installer . It downloads the image for sometime and ends up with the error that says Permission denied: for more details see the log file In the log it seems to be like DownloadError: Problem connecting to tracker - urlopen error (10060, 'Operation timed out') but my network is good and I checked it. Tried using wubi several times, but ends up with same problem.     I am presently experiencing random disconnections from my wireless network. It looks like it is more and more frequent (however I have not seen any clear pattern). This is killing me...     Hello, I'm troubleshooting a query performance problem.     I'm currently studying for a CS course's final exam and I've run into a minor (maybe major?) issue regarding the syntax of C++ #ifndef. I've looked at the syntax for #infndef when using it as an #include guard, and most on the web seem to say: #ifndef HEADER_H #include "header.h" ... #endif But my class's tutorial slides show examples as: #ifndef __HEADER_H__ #include "header.h" ... #endif I was wondering what (if any) the difference was between the two. The exam will most likely ask me to write an #include guard, and I know conventional wisdom is to just go with what the prof / tutor says, but if there's a difference during compilation I'd like to know. I need to separate them out but the issue is the first column is words that sometimes are one word and sometimes two. That is, for the boxplot, the x is (<20, 20-50,50-70, 70), while y is MB (and RMSE) of the difference of col4 and col3 I hope I didn't confuse anybody. Thank you so much.

    I am doing a frame to frame animation. My problem is I have given around 10 drawable images in my anim xml. But only first two and last two is showing not all the images. I am doing a translation also on this image.After translation only frame animation starts.Translation is happening and frame animation also happening but it is not showing all the frames. I tried to copy only the new records from the remote_table by this query: SELECT * FROM [remote_DB].[LudanProjectManager].[dbo].Remote_table EXCEPT SELECT * FROM My_table It works OK but I get a duplicate primary key exception when changes have been made on the remote_table on the hours column. Can anyone think of a way to copy only the new records from remote_table and if changes has been made on old records, to identify them and update the my_table to correspond?

  • Should software engineers take the upcoming PE exam for software engineering?

    I realize that this question is quite similar to this one, but news of a PE exam being developed specifically for software engineering by the NCEES and IEEE has piqued my interest. Should software engineering professionals take the (upcoming) PE exam for software engineering in addition to their degree (or relevant work experience)?
