    I've searched everywhere, but I can't seem to find any help... I have some textboxes that are created dynamically via JS, so I need to bind all of their classes to an autocomplete. As a result, I need to use the new .live() option. As an example, to bind all items with a class of .foo now and future created: $('.foo').live('click', function(){ alert('clicked'); }); It takes (and behaves) the same as .bind(). However, I want to bind an autocomplete... This doesn't work: $('.foo').live('autocomplete', function(event, ui){ source: 'url.php' // (surpressed other arguments) }); How can I use .live() to bind autocomplete? UPDATE Figured it out with Framer: $(function(){ $('.search').live('keyup.autocomplete', function(){ $(this).autocomplete({ source : 'url.php' }); }); });

  • Assembling Software RAID in Live CD for data recovery

    I need help recovering some data that's on my RAID which is on a LVM on my server running Ubuntu. What happened was I deleted the logical volume that controlled my swap space which was on a partition on drives sda2, sdb2, sdc2, and sdd2 in RAID1. This foobared my whole system for one reason or another. Booting leave me with grub rescue and an error saying that it is an unknown filesystem. When I boot to a live cd I can see my RAID arrays and I can even start them up. However, it doesn't appear to mount them anywhere so I can't see the data. I am in the live cd now and I have done sudo apt-get install mdadm lvm2 so it should be mounting them correctly. I just can't see why it wouldn't. Please any help is appreciated here. Here is some output.     I want to build a stream interface driver for testing purposes but I am completely lost. I don't know which IDE to use VS2008 or Platform Builder. Platform Builder is whopping 20GB to download :( Can anyone guide me on how i create the .dll file and include XXX_Open, XXX_Close, XXX_Write, XXX_Read in the dll file? If I am fetching a data stream, i.e, I keep receiving float numbers once at a time, how should I keep track of the top K frequent numbers? Here my memory is 4G and I prefer to have less communication with hard drive unless necessary. I think heap is good for updating the max and min. How should I design the data structure? Thanks

    Hi guys, Just wondering if you could help wanting to produce an activity stream in Java, the idea was to have a JLabel and text area followed by a divider be displayed on a screen and then repeated X amount of times according to what data was in a database. What I was wondering is how could I possibly repeat the placing the jlabel, text area, and diveder on the screen above the last rendered objects on the fly and all displayed correctly no matter the size of the text area of each set of object sort of like the image below.     Hello I want to run some tests from HPCC, STREAM and GUPS. They will test memory bandwidth, latency, and throughput (in term of random accesses). Can I start Single CPU test STREAM or Single CPU GUPS on NUMA node with memory interleaving enabled? (Is it allowed by the rules of HPCC - High Performance Computing Challenge?) Usage of non-local memory can increase GUPS results, because it will increase 2- or 4- fold the number of memory banks, available for random accesses. (GUPS typically limited by nonideal memory-subsystem and by slow memory bank opening/closing. With more banks it can do update to one bank, while the other banks are opening/closing.) Thanks. UPDATE: (you may nor reorder the memory accesses that the program makes). But can compiler reorder loops nesting? E.g. hpcc/RandomAccess.c /* Perform updates to main table. I have noticed that this is happening usually when I leave computer to get coffee, and screensaver comes up, WLM breaks. Is there any way to prevent this error from happening? I see I can turn off this "Data Execution Prevention", but is that safe, since I know that WLM is under heavy attacks from spammers/hackers? Thanks

I cannot seem to find the POP/IMAP settings to connect to in the Settings Sections of the new Outlook.com interface. The only instructions I could find mentioned were using the Hotmail interface, and the corresponding section does not exist in the Outlook.com redesigned settings.

    I have a multichannel (4x stereo) audiocard (m-audio delta1010lt) and want to playback /playthru some of the channels live. But I am only able to playback/playthru the left channel on each stereo-input (CH1, CH3, CH5, CH7). For CH2,CH4,CH6,CH8 I see the Windows Volume-Indicator going up and down in the Windows Record-Audiosettings but I don't hear any playback sound. Is there a way to playback/playthru all input channels?

I changed the filesystem table as mentioned in the blog, then looked at the possible "kernel optimized for virtualization". However, I found that linux-image-generic was already installed. Also, when running the command dpkg-query --showformat='${Package}\n' -W 'vmware-tools*' (or dpkg-query --showformat='${Package}\n' -W '*-virtual'), no packages were found. Thus, I did not find any virtualization specific packages. I proceeded to generate the iso following the steps in the blog, and burned it to a DVD.

  • Live CD works OK. Is it OK to assume a new install will work?

    I've got a Toshiba a505 laptop and tried the live CD with great results. However, I haven't found any reports on this PC working 100% OK on Ubuntu 10.10 yet. I do have seen (and tried installing myself) some reports that 10.04 didn't work (without some dirty hacking). In regular circumstances, is it OK to assume that a new install will work if the live CD works? Are there any tools I can run to check compatibility? Thanks!
