  • Problem using a COM interface as parameter

    I have the following problem: I have to projects Project1 and Project2. In Project1 I have an interface IMyInterface. In Project2 I have an interface IMyInterface2 with a method that receives a pointer to IMyInterface1. When I use import "Project1.idl"; in my Project2.idl, a #include "Project1.h" appears in Project2___i.h. But this file does not even exist!. What is the proper way to import an interface defined into other library into a idl file? I tried to replace the #include "Project1.h" by *#include "Project1_i.h"* or *#include "Project1_i.c"*, but it gave me a lot of errors. I also tried to use importlib("Project1.tlb") and define my interface IMyInterface2 within the library definition. But when I compile Project2PS project, an error is raised (something like dlldata.c is not generated if no interface is defined). I tried to create a dummy Project1.h. But when Project2___i.h is compiled, compiler cannot find MyInterface1. And if I include Project1___i.h I get a lot of errors again! Apparently, it is a simple issue, but I don't know how to solve it. I'm stuck with that!. By the way, I'm using VS2008 SP1. Thanks in advance.

  • ANDROID IF/ELSE FAILS CONTINUES TO EXECUTE JSON

    I am trying to create a Registration app with JSON to connect and post to MYSQL database. I created the following IF/ELSE statements to check for vacant input boxes, password match, and correct email characters before allowing it to be entered into the DATABASE. The code continues to execute the JSON posting even after the passwords don't match , invalid email characters are entered , and vacant text boxes are submitted.   • I would like to learn C++, what is the first step ?

    My actual experience comes from PHP and Delphi(Borland) and recently also from Obj-C (iPhone sdk). In the past I also used Java, Python, VB 6 and some other scripting language. I would like to learn C++ because i need a standard tool for write compiled applications with good performance but i have no idea about witch environment i have to choose (Ex: Borland, Microsoft, Eclipse+MinGW, ...). Based those parameters: Most useful more opensource project or work requests Most standard not a proprietary versions Biggest community documentation, manuals, tutorials, forums... Better IDE add-ons, highlight, debug, cross platform, autocomplete... Easy setup A simple setup, to focus on learning the basics Actually I'm on OSX but I can use a VM if needed. Advices about tutorial or books are welcome. I hope it's not too generic as question.

  • Permanent file changes on iPhone simulator

    I'm in trouble with paths, relative paths, NSBundle and all the path/file related operations :) While i run the simulator everthing goes right but all the file changes are not permanent, so everytime i run my app i have to repeat the initial setup of my app. The question: What is the proper way to read and write files (from resource dir) and make all the file changes permanent (updated into the project folder) ?   • Working with image pixels

    Hey Guys, I'm trying to do a project here, which I want to implement the following: I have a rotation matrix and translation matrix are estimated, now I have an image in a certain location and I want to multiply all the image pixel by the rotation matrix and add the results to the translation matrix..... My issue is how to work with the pixels? I mean how to extract the pixel from the image in order to do the operation that I mentioned above? it's ok to give me the suggestion in either opencv or c++ *I need to know how to do this operation new_p(x,y) = old(x,y)* rotation_matrix + translation_matrix. I'm defining the image like that IplImage(), 3 channel image. For now I need to do the geometrical transformation* Thank you.

  • JQUERY common function library create script errors. How to avoid?

    Hi all, I am building a common function library but the functions inside need to reference different jquery files, which they may need to be referenced in some pages but not in others. When I called this common function library in one web page which is only going to use one function, and I don't reference the files need it for the other function, then it will create a script error. I have a td which I need to add other three elements inside (span,div,p, or any other suggestion) in order to align the three elements inside one next to each other (the content of this elements is text). If all the elements contains a single line of text, then everything its fine. The problem comes when the first to are single line of text and third element contains more than one line of text, then text of third element it would go under first element, but I need it to go under third element. eg. Output desired. Title on element1: (subtitle on element 2) Text on element 3 with several lines of text. Actual output.   • jquery .attr('alt','logo').css('display','none') not working !!!

    I have the three following lines and the first two line gets all the images on the document and hides all, but then when I add the third line shows all the images. What I need its to hide only the images with the attribute alt=minimize and alt=maximize but for some reason hides all the images. $('img').attr('alt', 'minimize').css("display","none"); $('img').attr('alt', 'maximize').css("display","none"); $('img').attr('alt', 'logo').css("display","inline"); I am using IE7, but it should be compatible with IE6 and IE8.   • Saving associated domain classes in Grails

    I'm struggling to get association right on Grails. Let's say I have two domain classes: class Engine { String name int numberOfCylinders = 4 static constraints = { name(blank:false, nullable:false) numberOfCylinders(range:4..8) } } class Car { int year String brand Engine engine = new Engine(name:"Default Engine") static constraints = { engine(nullable:false) brand(blank:false, nullable:false) year(nullable:false) } } The idea is that users can create cars without creating an engine first, and those cars get a default engine. In the CarController I have: def save = { def car = new Car(params) if(!car.hasErrors() && car.save()){ flash.message = "Car saved" redirect(action:index) }else{ render(view:'create', model:[car:car]) } } When trying to save, I get a null value exception on the Car.engine field, so obviously the default engine is not created and saved. I tried to manually create the engine: def save = { def car = new Car(params) car.engine = new Engine(name: "Default Engine") if(!car.hasErrors() && car.save()){ flash.message = "Car saved" redirect(action:index) }else{ render(view:'create', model:[car:car]) } } Didn't work either. Is Grails not able to save associated classes? How could I implement such feature?

The className its applied to the table. Please notice, that the problem I have its checking the last row and only one element of the row has to have some text in it. (e.g. each row has 5 textboxes at least one textbox need to have some text inside in order to be able to add another row, otherwise, the alert comes up). Any help would be apreciated. Thanks

    "How do you hang up incoming calls (in Android of course)?" First, I know this question has been asked and answered several times, and the response is always "you can't". But if we look in the market we get a few applications (all private software, no access to the source code... :-( ) that do this action, such as CallFilter, Panda firewall and others... So... does somebody know how these apps do the hang up action, (or terminate, or disconnect or whatever you call it..)? And other question, if the first don't get a response.. does somebody know how send an incoming call to the voice mail? Of course, all questions are about how to do it programmatically. So with the voicemail question I know there's a flag in contacts that is used for that, but like I said, I'd like to know the programmatical way. Thanks all!

[closed] 17 answers I need to create a naming scheme for my servers, but I am having a hard time come by a good category list to go by. I want something with an abundance of names to use, so as I scale my server count I won't run out. Some that I have heard being used is greek philosophers (plato) planet names (saturn, mercury, venus, mars) Mario Characters (mario, luigi, yoshi, toad) I feel like the above categories are kind of limited. What are some good naming scheme that you use?

    Last week I made 2 stops to my local game stores and spent a load of cash on a bunch of new retro games for my collection.  Here are the recent additions: NES - Mega Man 2 - The Adventures of Bayou Billy - Ducktales - Metal Gear - Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt - Firestorm - Dragon's Lair - Bartman Meets Radioactive Man N64 - Superman 64 - Zelda: Ocarina of Time (in original box, box is in poor condition) Atari - Superman - Adventure - Donkey Kong - Raiders of the Lost Ark Dreamcast - Memory card with view screen - Space Channel 5 Genesis (all in case) - Jurassic Park - Sonic Spinball - Sonic the Hegehog 3 (missing manual) - Spiderman (also called Spiderman vs. The Kingpin) GameGear - Bart vs The Space Mutants Quite a large haul given it was all purchased in 2 days.  Although, Metal Gear I got for a great deal and almost considered buying their other copy simply to resale for more though I decided against it to let another lucky soul find it.  I may need to run over there again because I think they had TMNT 2 (NES) for around $6 and it usually sells for more than that.  I could have sworn I grabbed it and bought it but my receipt tells me differently. I also found my copy of Super Mario 3 and added that to my collection.  Unfortunately one of the corners of the label has begun to peel up pretty badly which sucks although it's still a good item for the collection. In other retro news, this weekend was Easter and while at my grandparents the cousins wanted to play on their NES which was not working.  Me being the retro NES nerd I am, grabbed a screw driver, some Windex, a few toothpicks, and a few cotton swabs and had it up and running under an hour (that includes eating dinner!).  The NES holds the games tighter, has a better connection, and works almost instantly.  I should do THAT for a living!
