    Hi, I'm using rich:toolbar with backing bean menuAction method.I'm facing one problem in menu link icons.Suppose if i ve child menu in my parent menu it is displaying "hand symbol" for that.else if i dont ve any child menu in my parent menu it is showing "I" this icon.While clicking parent menu(without having child menu) i want hand symbol icon instead of "I" this icon. please help me.......   • iTextSharp renders image with poor quality in PDF

    Hello, I'm using iTextSharp to print a PDF document. Everything goes ok until I have to print the company logo in it. First I noticed that the logo had poor quality, but after testing with several images, I realize that was the iTextSharp rendering it poorly. The test I did to say this was to print the PDF using my code and then edit the document with Acrobat 8.0 and I drew an image. Then printed the two documents and saw the noticeable difference. My question is that if anyone know if this can be due to a scaling problem where I'm failing to tell iTextSharp how it must render the image or is an iTextSharp limitation. The code to render the image is the following: Dim para As Paragraph = New Paragraph para.Alignment = Image.RIGHT_ALIGN para.Add(text) Dim imageFile As String = String.Format("{0}{1}", GetAppSetting("UploadDirectory"), myCompany.LogoUrl) Dim thisImage As Image = Image.GetInstance(imageFile) thisImage.Alignment = Image.LEFT_ALIGN para.Add(thisImage) The printed images are the following: Image printed directly with iTextSharp Image edited and printed with Acrobat 8 Please let me know if I need to provide more info.   • Android Map Performance poor because of many Overlays?

    Hi, I have a map in my android application that shows many markers (~20-50). But the app performs very poor when i try to scroll/zoom (in Google Android Maps i did a sample search for pizza and there were also some 20-50 results found and i didn't notice any particular performance problems when zooming/scrolling through the map).   • ASP.NET MVC Rich Text Editor not showing buttons

    Hi, I have problem with implementing Rich Text Editor (all that i tried, e.g. TinyMCE). I tried many tutorials and articles but all same. When i am trying do it the best what i get is working editor in IE (8) but other browser not (Opera, FF, Chrome). Samples that i download work fine in all browsers.   • Sitecore - Rich Text Editor field is not saving information but instead just copying old information

    We are using Sitecore.NET 5.3.1 (rev. 071114) and we found out a problem. When we are trying to change information in a Rich Text Editor field on the Master database and save the information, this information is not stored and instead the old information appears back into the RTE field. I have been trying this on the Web database on which this is not happening. However, changing this information on the web database feels useless because a publish will just change every information that does not correspond to the data in the Master database in which i just can't edit this field. So I'm having big trouble at this point since this is for one of our bigger customers and they really want this fixxed asap. We (Estate Internet) already have had an open ticket for this problem, but never got the solution. Hope that someone here knows what the problem may be.

  • Converting rich text that contains backslashes to plain text or html

    I am trying to convert a rich text string to plain text or html. I am currently using the RichTextBox.Text feature which works correctly for almost all cases except when the text contains backslashes then some of the text is stripped out as the converter believes that it is part of the rtf formatting. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get the backslashes to stay in that instance. Here is an example of a string I would have {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0\deflang1033{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}}\viewkind4\uc1\pard\fs17 Testing Export \with comments\par} The text I would need would be "Testing Export \with comments" and the text I am getting back from the rtf converter is "Testing Export comments". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respond if you have further questions.

    Hi,In my richCalendar.jsp page, first time i click the showCurrentMonth button and display the current month using rich:calendar. i select some other month i click SelectedMonth button. I show the selected month name. My problem is : I go to any other page. then i come visit the richCalendar.jsp and again click showCurrentMonth button, this time the rich:calendar show the already selected month instead of current month .   • After rich:extendedDataTable sortby,otheractions are not getting executed

    My requirement is I have several tabs and one of the tabs uses rich:extendedDataTable. If sortby is clicked in the page where table is used and if I navigate to another page, it looks for the bean of the old page and throws an error saying that sortyBy of the column is undefined. For eg if iused sortBy on userId in tab1( where the table column must have had sortBy=#{data.userId}) and then i click on tab2 , it looks for the data.userId and thorws an error. I am using richfaces 3.2.2SR1 version. can you help me on this.

  • FacesMessages and rich:effect?

    I'd like to be able to make an Ajax call using JSF/Seam/RichFaces and have the page update with the relevant h:messages component. That works with no problem. I'm able to perform the appropriate reRender. However, I'd also like to be able to make use of rich:effect to make it a bit prettier. Ideally, I'd like to be able to have the messages fade in and then disappear when the user clicks on them. However, I've been unable to get this working thus far. Has anyone gotten such a scenario working? Does anyone who knows JSF/Seam a bit better than me have any good advice? Thanks in advance!

    Hey Guys, I am using ThickBox 3.1 one one page. Now, there is one problem, i am using one form to open thickbox on the button click event. And i am using yahoo text editor on that form. And in the yahoo rich text editor there is one link of image insert.. but i don't know why its not opening. on click of it. the image insert dialog is not opening. all things are working properly. Why is it not opening? and if is there anyway to only remove the image insert icon from text editor.

I have short listed Flex, JSF[apache trinidad], html5, gwt these technologies. None of them provide timeline charts on their own. I am looking at other options such as using third party libraries. The chart should have drill down capabilities as well. Let me know if there is any specific technology that I should try. regards
