Assume client's device lost Internet connection while this code was running. So the app received only some part of real response. And I'm pretty sure it happens cuz I got parsing exceptions like "tag not closed", "unexpected end of file" etc. So I need to detect somehow this situation to prevent code from parsing partial response but can't see how. Is it possible at all and how to do it? Or has it has to raise IOException in such cases?

  • Python configuration file generator

    I want to use Python to make a configuration file generator. My roughly idea is feeding input with template files and some XML files with the real settings. Then use the program to generate the real configuration files. I got several questions: Is there any open source configuration generator program? (what could be the keyword), I wonder if there's anything can be added/modified in the design. Does Python have good XML parser module? Is it good idea to use XML file to save the original settings? I've been thinking to use Excel since it's more intuitive to maintain, but harder for program to parse. Not sure how people deal with this. Hope the community can give me some suggestions.     I am trying to install a Firefox extension into Firefox 3.6.13 under OS X 10.5.8, and I keep getting an error message: Firefox could not install the file at because: Download error -228 I have read this and found it unhelpful. My cache is 500 MB and ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems is writable: [jnet@Stan ~]$ ls -la ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems total 16 drwx------ 5 jnet jnet 170 Jan 27 20:51 . Any idea how I can correct this?

  • TLS-SRP ciphersuites support in browsers

    i'm doing some research on how browsers support TLS-SRP (RFC5054). I know that TLS-SRP is implemented in GnuTLS, OpenSSL as of release 1.0.1, Apache mod_gnutls, cURL, TLS Lite and SecureBlackbox. I don't find any fresh source of information, only this from 2011: http://sim.ivi.co/2011/07/compare-tls-cipher-suites-for-web.html I'm testing them manually at the moment, but as far as i know nobody seems to support it. My interest is then in understanding if browsers are planning to support these ciphersuites in the future, apart from the current state.   • iphone tabbar with custom buttons and scrollvie

    i'm trying to get a tab bar effect not unlike russel quinn's 'creative review' app. the tabbar swipes across, which i have figured out, but the tabbar style itself is unlike anything i've seen on the iphone (though it looks so simple!). it has square buttons with a space between, and each button has a select/active/inactive state. i'm having a hard time seeing how this can be tabbar, but i don't know any other way. can someone explain this? here's the example :: http://bit.ly/c8CeBC. any help is appreciated.

  • GlassFish v2.1 -- getting Application Client and Eclipselink to work together?

    We are trying to use Eclipselink 1.1 with Glassfish v2.1. Following the instructions on: http://wiki.glassfish.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=FaqEclipseLinkGlassFishV2 I adapted the instructions for the appclient script on linux by adding the lines: APPCPATH=$APPCPATH:$AS_INSTALL/lib/eclipselink-1.1.1.jar export APPCPATH to the appclient shell script. This however is not working. On running the application client (using Glassfish's webstart), I get the error: WARNING: "IOP00810257: (MARSHAL) Could not load class org.eclipse.persistence.indirection.IndirectList" Anyone else succeed in getting GF v 2.1 to work with eclipselink? or any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I found this bug report: http s://glassfish.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=8204 (New users can't post more than 1 link, so remove the space between 'http' and 's'.) Where Tim Quinn (tjquinn) said: App client container support for persistence is not yet in place I think this refers only to Glassfish v3, and it should be working in Glassfish v2. Is this correct?
