  • How to change subnet mask and DHCP enabled flag in C++ and Windows XP

    Does anyone know how to change the subnet mask and the DHCP enabled flag on Windows XP / Vista / 7 from a C++ program? The Windows API has a GetAdaptersInfo() routine which will give you that information, but I need the counterpart SetAdaptersInfo() which doesn't seem to exist. I've looked all over MSDN and the web and don't see how to do it on newer-than-Windows-NT machines. Any information is greatly appreciated.

    My Users table (the one that I created) has the following columns: UserId,UserName,FirstName,LastName,DOB After I ran this command WebSecurity.InitializeDatabaseConnection("DefaultConnection", "Users", "UserId", "UserName", autoCreateTables: true); it created the required simple membership tables for me. How would I go about "UnConfirming" an user or setting the "IsConfirmed" flag to false in the webpages_Membership using the new SimpleMembership API? (Earlier, before going to simplemembership using the "Membership" class I could update an user using the api call : Membership.UpdateUser( user );)

  • C# Showing Form with WS_EX_NOACTIVATE flag

    I have a borderless form which is always on top and with WS_EX_NOACTIVATE flag set to prevent it for gaining focus. const int WS_EX_NOACTIVATE = 0x08000000; protected override CreateParams CreateParams { get { CreateParams param = base.CreateParams; param.ExStyle |= WS_EX_NOACTIVATE; return param; } } Form contains small picture box for moving (since it's borderless): private void pictureBox4_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { if (e.Button == MouseButtons.Left) { ReleaseCapture(); SendMessage(this.Handle, 0xa1, 0x2, 0); } } However when I move the window it doesn't get redrawn/shown, only when I release the mouse button it moves form to that location. I saw some application which are are working in a similar fashion but they are showing the window while moving (like some virtual keyboards I saw) and also many questions on net about this issue but no answer. Can someone please tell me is it possible to show window/form like this while moving (like "normal" window) and if yes, how to do it? Thanks.

  • OpenCV 2.0 C++ API using imshow: returns unhandled exception and "bad-flag"

    I'm trying to use the new OpenCV 2.0 API in MS Visual C++ 2008 and wrote this simple program: cv::Mat img1 = cv::imread("image.jpg",1); cv::namedWindow("My Window", CV_WINDOW_AUTOSIZE); cv::imshow("My Window", img1); Visual Studio returnes an unhandled exception and the Console returns: OpenCV Error: bad flag (parameter or structure field) (Unrecognized or unsupported array type) in unknown function, file ..\..\..\..\ocv\opencv\src\cxcore\cxarray.cpp, line 2376 The image is not displayed. Furthermore the window "My Window" has a strange caption: "ÌÌÌÌMy Window", which is not dependent on the name. The "old" C API using commands like cvLoadImage, cvNamedWindow or cvShowImage works without any problem for the same image file. I tried a lot of different stuff without success.     Suppose AX =FFFE and BX=1234 now if we write cmp ax,bx (bx will be subtracted from ax and the approprite flages will be updated) now the binary representation of the numbers in ax and bx is given by AX = 1111 1111 1111 1110 BX= 0001 0010 0011 0100 As bx will be subtracted from ax so we have to negate bx (as Result= ax+(-bx)) so the negated bx (2's complement of bx ) is given by. BX= 1110 1101 1100 1100 Now we add both ax and bx (as subtraction is implemented by addition in computer) AX= 1111 1111 1111 1110 BX= 1110 1101 1100 1100 ------------------------------------ 1 1110 1101 1100 1010 Now as you can see the result is of 17 bits now the 17th bit should go into carry flage, but when i checked it the carry flag is 0 that is CF=0 why?

    I noticed that if I leave off the terminating double quote for a string constant in Visual Studio 2010, there is no error or even a warning, i.e. Dim foo as String = "hi However, the continuous integration tool we are using flags an error: error BC30648: String constants must end with a double quote. What's going on here? Is there some language rule in VB.NET that makes a terminating double quote optional "sometimes"? Is there some setting in Visual Studio that will make it flag this as an error?

  • Android - Calling getJSONArray throwing JSONException with no stack trace

    Hi all, I'm currently working on an android app that pulls a list of forums from a JSON feed. I'm trying to parse the feed and immediately upon calling getJSONArray a JSON exception is being thrown with no stack trace. The JSON being returned is stored in an JSONObject jobj with the format as follows: { "Forum": [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] } However when running the following code, I get an immediate exception without a stack trace: JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(); jarray = jobj.getJSONArray("Forum"); Running jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString(); returns what looks to be a correct array of the format: [ {"ForumName":"CEC Employee Communications Forum","ForumId":"105"}, {"ForumName":"CEC External Stakeholder Relations Forum","ForumId":"109"}, {"ForumName":"See All...","ForumId":"0"} ] I also tried JSONArray jarray = new JSONArray(jobj.GetJSONArray("Forum").toString()); and had the exception thrown immediately.     HI I wrote a udp server classlibray i hosted it in windows form and it works fine. When i debug the trace and debug messages shows in output. When i host the cl in a windows service none of the debug messages is showing. Both cl and windows service is in debug there is no tracelisteniners specified so it should use outputstring.I even put a messagebox.show in the cl just to make sure the function is getting called in the windows service and it does. So how do i get the trace/debgug message showing.The service is running as localsystem. What am i missing

  • XCode 3.2.1 and Instruments: Useless Stack Trace

    I've reached the stage where it's time to start tracking down memory leaks and, to my dismay, Instruments is giving me very little to go on (other than the fact that I definitely have leaks). My stack trace contains no information other than memory addresses. Since I'm working on a new project and I've transitioned to version 3.2.1 of XCode in tandem, I'm not sure if it's my program configuration or XCode that's causing the problem. I have found one reference to the issue coupled with a post on the dyld leak that seems to be prevalent with the 3.2.1 release. Since I haven't been able to find much on the problem I'm guessing it's something I've created rather than a systematic issue with XCode. If someone has any idea where I might have thrown a wrench in the works, I would love some pointers. Also, if someone could just verify that the stack trace is indeed functioning properly in 3.2.1 that would be useful as well.

    Hello, I am trying to output my Flash application's trace to the firebug console. After some Goggling I have found that other are doing something like this: public static function debug(text: Dynamic):Void { trace(text); ExternalInterface.call("console.log", text.toString()); } My Firebug console never outputs anything and always just shows "Please Reload Page to enable..." So, of coarse, I have reloaded the page and it does not seem to change anything. I have the correct Object imported into the calling class. I am running FireBug 1.4.2.     In my GAE-Java app, I'm using the low-level datastore API. Hence I don't need the GAE app instance to load any of the higher level data access libraries such as JPA, JDO, Data Nucleus, etc. Is there a flag that I can set to indicate that I don't want these libraries to be loaded? My motivation to do this is to reduce app instance startup time everywhere I can. Now I don't know if these libraries are loaded only on-demand or always. The dev environment logs messages related to data nucleus which seems to indicate that some of these libraries may be pre-loaded? I hope I'm wrong here. Thanks, Keyur

  • Stack trace in website project, when debug = false

    We have a website project. We are logging unhanded exceptions via a appdomain level exception handler. When we set debug= true in web.config, the exception log is showing the offending line numbers in the stack trace. But when we set debug = false, in web.config, log is not displaying the line numbers. We are not in a position to convert the website project in to webapplication project type at this time. Its legacy application and almost all the code is in aspx pages. We also need to leave the project in 'updatable' mode. i.e. We can't user pre-compile option. We are generating pdb files. Is there anyway to tell this kind of website projects to generate the pdb files, and show the line numbers in the stack trace?

  • How to use startMethodTracing APIs on Android?

    I have recently started working on an app which has both Java and native components. I am trying to generate trace information for both components using Debug.startMethodTracing("myapp") and Debug.startNativeTracing() alternately. However, both are behaving unexpectedly. When I use Debug.startMethodTracing("myapp"), I can see a file /sdcard/myapp.trace being created but it is always empty no matter how long I run my app. When I use Debug.startNativeTracing() and start the emulator with the -trace <tracename> switch, I see a message saying "Trace started", but when I try to run my app, the emulator crashes. Am I missing something obvious here? How do I debug this problem?

  • R: How to get a stack trace from the snow package

    How can I get a stack trace back from a snow node after an error occurs? I am using the snow package (version 0.3-3) on R 2.10.1 and I'm getting errors when I use parSapply that do not occur when I use sapply. Snow is nice enough to give me the error message but it would be much more useful for me to have the kind of stack trace you can get from traceback(). So far I have tried: options(showWarnCalls = T, showErrorCalls = T) setDefaultClusterOptions(outfile = "/dev/tty") and options(error=traceback) setDefaultClusterOptions(outfile = "/dev/tty") without luck. I'm currently just testing with a local cluster ie: makeSOCKcluster(c("localhost","localhost")) but I will eventually be using an MPI cluster. Thanks.

  • NHibernate Many-to-many with a boolean flag on the association table

    Hi I am doing some work on an application that uses an existing schema that cannot be altered. Whilst writing my NHibernate mappings I encountered a strange many-to-many relationship. The relationship is defined in the standard way as in this question with the addition of a boolean flag on the association table that signifies if the relationship is legal. This seems somewhat redundant but as I say, cannot be changed. Is it possible to define this relationship in Nhibernate without resorting to using a third class to represent the association? Perhaps by applying a filter? Many thanks.

    I have created a simple test application with the following code var i : int; for (i=0; i<3000000; i++){ trace(i); } When I run the application, it's very slow to load, which means the "trace" is running. I check the flash player by right-clicking, the debugger option is not enable. So I wonder if there is an option to put in compiler to exclude the trace. The ideal scenario is like this: The default parameter values are applied when the program is started. However, when the user wants to change some jre parameter values, he goes to a .ini file, MyProgram.ini for example, changes the values there, and the new values will be applied next time the program is started. I think eclipse uses the same way for its memory and some other parameter settings.
