    What's the best way to add foreign keys to my existing tables in Rails with an underlying MySQL database? clearly the solution should be done in a migration, as I want this versioned. Otherwise I'd create the constraints myself. I can't seem to find one, conducive response to they above. Again, the tables have already been created with previous migrations. I'm just going back now and adding referential integrity wherever it's applicable.

    My Table: [LocationId] [Address] [ZipCode] When I show a list of Location's, I also want to show the distance from a given zip code. In Asp.Net Web Forms I had a stored procedure that would return the distance and I would call this SP on ItemDataBound on my GridView. Or, I also would have my SP that is returning the Location list add another column ([Distance]) which I could display in my GridView. How would you do this using Entity Framework and Asp.Net Mvc 2?

    I am using Netbeans 6.1 and Tomcat 6.0.1.6. I made some very minor changes to a project that had been working and now I am getting the following error: com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.ApplicationException: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Could not add one or more tag libraries. The only change I made was to a backing bean method, no new UI components, jsp, etc. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    I'm trying to select an id that changes on different posts of same page. So the they have been given an id="show_posts_{PostID}" - on the final output the {PostID} is replaced with a number. In the function I need to call $('show_posts_XXXXXX') - XXXXXX being the generated ID. I have stored this ID in a variable called postId. But I can't seem to do this $("'" + "show_posts_" + postId + "'") Can anyone tell me how I can add a string to the end of a selector?

  • Continuous Form, how to add/update records with external connection

    EDIT After some more research I found that I cannot use a continuous form with an unbound form since it can only reference a single record at a time. Given that I've altered my question... I have a sample form that pulls out data to enter into a table as an intermediary. Initially the form is unbound and I open connections to two main recordsets. I set the listbox's recordset equal to one of them and the forms recordset equal to the other. The problem is that I cannot add records or update existing ones. Attempting to key into the fields does nothing almost as if the field was locked (Which it is not). Settings of the recordsets are OpenKeyset and LockPessimistic. Tables are not linked, they come from an outside access database seperate from this project and must remain that way. I am using an adodb connection to get the data. Could the separation of the data from the project be causing this?     I am trying to workaround CORS restriction on a WebGL application. I have a Web Service which resolves URL and returns images. Since this web service is not CORS enabled, I can't use the returned images as textures. I was planning to: Write a PHP script to handle image requests Image requests would be sent through the query string as a url parameter The PHP Script will: Call the web service with the query string url Fetch the image response (web service returns a content-type:image response) Add the CORS header (Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin) to the response Send the response to the browser I tried to implement this using a variety of techniques including CURL, HTTPResponse, plain var_dump etc. but got stuck at some point in each. So I have 2 questions: Is the approach good enough? Considering the approach is good enough: I made the most progress with CURL. I could get the image header and data with: $ch = curl_init(); $url = $_GET["url"]; curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, $url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER, array('Content-Type:image/jpeg')); //Execute request $response = curl_exec($ch); //get the default response headers $headers = curl_getinfo($ch); //close connection curl_close($ch); But this doesn't actually change set the response content-type to image/jpeg. It dumps the header + response into a new response of content-type text/html and display the header and the image BLOB data in the browser. How do I get it to send the response in the format I want?
