    I'm trying to enable or disable all the control in a window as the programme changes from interactive to non-interactive mode. How can I ask a window to give me all its contents? every control of window "mainWindow" doesn't work, nor does contents of window "mainWindow" Actually, I haven't been able to find any good documentation for interacting with menu items from interface builder at all. Things like how to set the contents of popups, and buttons and so on. thanks

    Is it possible to set the BorderBrush property in a style, to the value of the BorderBrush property of an instance of another control? Something like: <Style x:Key="{x:Type Controls:TimePicker}" TargetType="Controls:TimePicker"> <Setter Property="BorderBrush" Value="[ElementName=txtText Property=BorderBrush]"/> </Style> The reason for this is that I'm using Infragistics controls that have a "Theme" that can be changed and I want my custom control to change border style at the same time.

    I have two gridview in update panel and m adding entries from one gridview to another on selectedIndexChanged event what m trying to do is updating update panel on this event selectedindexchanged ...but my gridview is inside accordian control so it does not get initialized and hence i get this error ..... control with ID 'GridView1' could not be found for the trigger in UpdatePanel 'UpdatePanel1' Anybody knows solution?

    If you supply a list of strings to an edit control and set the autocomplete mode and source then you automatically get autocomplete functionality. My question is can I get the same functionality in .NET somewhere without a control. In other words I want something like: string[] ProgressivePartialMatch( string[] Strings, string MatchText ) and so I want the strings back that would have showed up in the autocomplete, so to speak.

I always thout of SL as a subset of WPF but there seems to bee no DataForm control, at least not in the System.Windows.Controls namespace like in SL (I know SL uses another CLR) Have i overlooked something?     say in my ListView say with 4 columns (Description, Price Per Unit, Quantity, Total Price). I would like to make the third column editable, and embedded NumericUpDown control for the Quantity column. Is it possible? And when the Quantity is updated via the NumericUpDown control, the Total Price is also being updated based on Total Price = Quantity * Price Per Unit. is the above achievable? any code samples would be greatly appreciated.

  • Cannot add Silverlight Maps Control to Windows Mobile 7 application

    I know the bits just came out today, but one of the first things I want to do with the newly released Windows Mobile 7 SDK is put a map up on the screen and mess around. I've downloaded the latest version of the Silverlight Maps Control and added the references to my application. As a matter of fact, the VS 2010 design view of the MainPage.xaml shows the map control after adding the namespace and placing the control. I'm using the provided VS 2010 Express version that comes with the Win Mobile 7 SDK and have just used the New Project - Windows Phone Application template. When I try to build I get two warnings related to the Microsoft.Maps.MapControl dll's. Warning 1 The primary reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" could not be resolved because it has an indirect dependency on the framework assembly "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e" which could not be resolved in the currently targeted framework. "Silverlight,Version=v4.0,Profile=WindowsPhone". To resolve this problem, either remove the reference "Microsoft.Maps.MapControl, Version=1.0.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=498d0d22d7936b73, processorArchitecture=MSIL" or retarget your application to a framework version which contains "System.Windows.Browser, Version=2.0.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=7cec85d7bea7798e".     Hi, I'd like to know how to control my application's volume from the volume keys ( contrary to my belief , I've read they control only the ringer volume). Should I overwrite the onKey Down/Up ? , or is there other way to accomplish this ? . I'm asking because if I overwrite the upper mentioned function for an activity, then the functions will receive the event only if a view associated with the this activity has the focus, and I looking for something "Globaly" ( to work no matter what activity is running now)

I am trying to write WPF custom control that encapsulates several elements of functionality that I already having working (i.e sorting, filtering, standard menus, etc.), but in a nice neat package to avoid repetition.   • Manifest or Theme/Style for a IWebBrowser2 control?

    The IWebBrowser2 control has password edit boxes which are squares. This happened many years ago if you were on an XP machine, and you had a password edit field without a manifest file, you would get squares (no character found for the * they put in there with that font). My application has a manifest file. However I don't know how to give a manifest or set the theme or style of the control that is created. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Problem with the way the Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer sets the default submit button

    We have an Ajax Control Toolkit TabContainer containing some textboxes for doing a search. When you keypress inside one of the textboxes, the TabContainer sets the default button to be the button immediately following the tab control. This is fine because that's the search button. The problem occurs after the button is clicked and results returned. Now there is no default button, and keypress does nothing. Any suggestions?

    It seems that the checkbox used in a ListView when CheckBoxes = true isn't a proper checkbox. It doesn't draw the MouseOver or MouseDown state and it doesn't support the Indeterminate/Intermediate state. How can I replace the checkbox with a standard checkbox control or take control of the drawing of just the checkbox so I can use the CheckBoxRenderer class?

  • Autoresize textbox control vertically

    In a C# form, i have a panel anchored all sides, and inside, a textbox, anchored top/left/right. When text gets loaded into the textbox, i want it to auto expand itself vertically so that i don't need to scroll the textbox (scroll the panel at most, if there is more text that doesn't fit the panel). is there any way to do this with a textbox? (i'm not constrained to use this control so if there's another control that fits the description, feel free to mention it)
