    Hello! I had a problem with image uploading to Django with FreeBSD, so I asked on SO: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1959447/django-uploading-image-error and got an answer. Our admin can't install these libraries, he don't know how. Neither do I. It's FreeBSD, kinda unfamiliar system. So, how do we install PIL with JPEG support and whatever needed for image uploading?

  • varnish demon error: libvarnish.so.1 not found

    In order to try out varnish for an upcoming project I installed it on an ubuntu server using this tutorial: http://varnish-cache.org/wiki/InstallationOnUbuntuDapper The build process worked without any errors, but I cant start the varnish demon. I always get the error message varnishd: error while loading shared libraries: libvarnish.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory But /usr/local/lib/libvarnish.so.1 clearly exists. How can I tell varnish to look in that directory and load the library?

    Hi, I need to build a newer version of 'gstreamer' & 'glib' in my ubuntu 8.04. So I get the source, and run './configure --prefix=/home/michael/bin; make; make install' But what do i need to set PKG_CONFIG_PATH to in other for my another program's configure to see it? I tried export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/home/michael/bin/lib/pkgconfig export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/home/michael/bin/lib But for some reasons, Webkit's configure still cant' find both libraries.

  • New install indicator while install updating on Ubuntu

    In the update manager of ubuntu I see several libraries marked with New Install. I don't know what is the benefit I can get from that New Install? What if I just want a normal upgrade, not a New Install? (I have 3 Linux Kernel versions right now (that I can see and select from Grub menu), and I think I don't need all of them since I always use the latest Kernel).

  • Windows explorer doesn't open My Documents, Music or anything when clicking the library?

    I recently installed Windows 7, and for some reason my Libraries don't open to My Documents, Music and so on.. I can access my files by typing into the explorers address bar, but clicking anything doesn't do anything, it just stays on the same screen. What's wrong? Since this is occurring on a relatively new install, I currently have 259GB free out of 297GB on my HD. The My Documents folder only has about 500 mb of Data.

    I am having an absurdly difficult time getting MySQL-Ruby to install on RedHat 4 using Ruby 1.9.2. I am behind a company proxy that prevents pretty much any package tool from connecting to external repositories so "gem install mysql" isn't going to cut it. I have tried installing the mysql-ruby gem locally but it fails with a mysterious: $gem install mysql-2.8.1.gem Building native extensions. This could take a while...   • Flex puts _docs_ folder into the bin. Can that be stopped?

    I started using Flex Builder 3 only recently. There is a behavior I want to change. Flex apparently looks for folders that have underscore in front of their names inside the libraries on the project path, and transfers them to the bin directory. This often results in several megabytes of junk in my bin, and I want to change this behavior. Does anyone know how to do that?

I then decided to chmod 777 all the directories and try again but it still fails. Looking at the directories afterwards it seems that the new directories being created are not being created 777. By changing them I can get at least one step further before the error appears again. My question is does anyone know how to get round this? I am thinking that the new directories being created will require sudo privileges to have mv and create actions carried out, hence the permission denied errors. Can this be configured in Joomla? Or is there a way to specify that new directories created in /var/www/[site name] take 777 by default? any help greatly appreciated! EDIT: P.S. if anyone could give me a clue as to how the insert code feature works as well that would be great! Might make this post a bit more readable! EDIT2: Well I have had a bash at changing the permissions and ownership. sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/trbcp I then tried changing the whole /var directory (insecure I know but this is a test and dev server for me to find my feet on) to 777 and still getting permission errors. It seems to be error opening stream? Not a php guy so not sure what that is but could it be that permissions to run php script need to change? any thoughts greatly appreciated.

    I recently tried out the free Crystal Reports Viewer. I installed it on my work computer, but it didn't load (crashed on the EULA agreement of all places). After uninstalling the viewer, however, MS Excel 2003 does 3 things: "An error occurred initializing the VBA libraries (1004)" "Microsoft Excel has not been installed for the current user" Excel then closes. Did uninstalling the CR Viewer take some Microsoft DLLs with it? How do I get Excel working again?

  • Windows 7 Homegroups not working?

    I've got a homegroup set up, and only the accounts/machines where the user and password is identical can see/share files. I thought the setting to let homegroup control the accounts would make that requirement unnecessary....am I missing something? To be clear: I can see the other machines/user accounts in my homegroup listing, but I can't see any of the files in their shared libraries.

And yet the project still compiles and runs OK. I've tried changing the Java Platform/JDK from 1.6.0_10 back to JDK 1.5.0_22 but I still receive errors package does not exist. Now: # yum install php-gd Fails of course (not the same PHP version) into: *Error: Missing Dependency: php-common = 5.1.6-27.el5_5.3 is needed by package php-gd-5.1.6-27.el5_5.3.x86_64* And: # yum install php53-gd Fails into Error: php53-common conflicts with php-common How can I add the GD libraries now?

    Whenever I right-click something in windows explorer other than favorites, libraries, computer, or network (the main headings in the left pane), the drop-down menu does not appear and an error pops up "windows explorer has stopped working" - "windows explorer is restarting".
