  • Compact Framework development using C# Express Version

    I am wondering if one could use the C# Express version to do Compact Framework development. I've done some Google searches but I can't find a defiant answer. I have installed C# Express but there isn't a project template to select for "smart device" development.   • Table-Valued Parameter in Stored Procedure and the Entity Framework 4.0

    Hi there, I have a stored procedure called 'GetPrices' with a Table-Valued Parameter called 'StoreIDs' and I would like to call it from my Entity Framework. But when I try to add the Stored Procedure to the EDM, i get the following error: The function 'GetPrices' has a parameter 'StoreIDs' at parameter index 2 that has a data type 'table type' which is not supported. The function was excluded. Is there any workaround this? Any thoughts? Fabio

  • MSDTC and Multiple Databases with Entity Framework.

    In my code I'm attempting to use a transaction using TransactionScope with Entity Framework. While in this transaction we are opening a regular SQL connection to a seperate server and database. When the conn.Open() is called we get an Error: "Network access for Distributed Transaction Manager (MSDTC) has been disabled. Please enable DTC for network access in the security configuration for MSDTC using the Componet Services Administrative tool." However, MSDTC is enabled and running on the Server.

  • C# integer primary key generation using Entity Framework with local database file (Sdf)

    Hello, I'm writing a standalone application and I thought using Entity Framework to store my data. At the moment the application is small so I can use a local database file to get started. The thing is that the local database file doesn't have the ability to auto generate integer primary keys as SQL Server does. Any suggestions how to manage primary keys for entities in a local database file that will be compatible with SQL Server in the future? Thanks, Ronny

Currently, my site is written using the Zend Framework so it's not just a case of using Wordpress and that be the end of it. I was wondering.   • Safari wrapping too early

    I've created a class web page with a page for midterm review. It uses jsMath to turn Tex into nice math. (MathML looks awful) Anyway, I would occasionally like to have several problems per line. Each problem is in its own <span>, so if it needs to wrap, it won't split the problem. It all seems to work, except that Safari for the Mac seems overly anxious to wrap, sometimes wrapping at 30% paragraph width. Even under inspection, it reports a width of 663px, but wrapping occurs at around 150px. There is no padding. Firefox renders just fine. Explanation: I have included the following noscript tag in my application's layout <noscript style="background:#ffcc00;font-size:200%;font-family:verdana;text-align:center;text-transform:uppercase;font-weight:bold;padding:0.8em;">javascript is disabled, please enable it first.</noscript> Now when I view this layout in IE8 the noscript tag CSS is displaying at the top of the page without the content in it, making the layout look faulty. Please help...

  • Debugging nth-child selector

    I have the following selectors: .progress:nth-child(3n+1) { background: teal; } .progress:nth-child(3n+2) { background: red; } .progress:nth-child(3n+3) { background: blue; } However all of the items end up with a teal background. Are these selectors correct? I'm thinking I should get: Teal (every 3, starting with 1) Red (every 3, starting with 2) Blue (every 3, starting with 3) etc. I've tested on Firefox 3.5.8 and Opera 10.10 on Ubuntu. Also tested with nothing but these rules in the CSS. I'm using the YUI Reset stylesheet but excluding it does nothing.

My code : EntityKey key; object originalItem; key = this._modelContainer.CreateEntityKey("Customers", customer); if (this._modelContainer.TryGetObjectByKey(key, out originalItem)) { this._modelContainer.ApplyCurrentValues(key.EntitySetName, customer); } this._modelContainer.SaveChanges(); It works for Scalar Property only.
