  • How to make Dropdown menu using :hover on <a> in place of hover on <ul>?

    - by metal-gear-solid
    IE 6 only support :Hover on <a> then can we make css drop down using :hover on <a> http://htmldog.com/articles/suckerfish/dropdowns/ This example use JavaScript to add hover on LI 'sfhover' class to li elements in the 'nav' id'd ul element when they are 'moused over' and removes it, using a regular expression, when 'moused out'. So now we've got the Suckerfish pumping out new classes, the next step is to simply duplicate the :hover selector with 'sfhover' class selectors:

  • How do I put a listing of files into a menu?

    - by PandaNL
    I have a folder with .txt files in it. How can i make my menuitem get those .txt files and put the filenames in the menuitem, so that it creates a list of all .txt files in that folder. So when i put a .txt in the folder the program automatically creates the menu item. Does someone knows how to do this, or perhaps an example?

  • How do I create a right click context menu in Java Swing?

    - by Wayne
    I'm working on a school project and we want to implement a right click pop-up menu in the gui. Currently we are doing something like creating a JMenu on right click and setting its location to that of the mouse's position... This seems really ugly and is very buggy, is there any better way of doing this? I'm sure there must be.

  • Looking for a filtered dropdown list for ASP.NET.

    - by ProfK
    I have some DropDownList controls where the list is very large, so I would like to have a means for the user to filter the list, either based on other fields, e.g. region, or on the first letters typed in a textbox. How can I achieve this in ASP.NET? Is the an open source control out there that will help me?

  • FF extension. how to show data extracted in a javascript function to the dropdown menu in the browse

    - by encryptor
    I am developing a ff extension. On one menupopup, the onpopupshowing calls a javascript function. Tha JS function extracts a list of names. Now these names have to be displayed in the same popup. How can i get this? Basically i will need to pass the data (just as we use beans in java) to the browser from the JS function. The data can change everytime the popup is called.

  • How to re-enable the context menu in this case?

    - by lemonedo
    document.addEventListener('contextmenu', function (e) { e.preventDefault() e.stopPropagation() e.returnValue = false e.cancleBubble = true }) No way? Edit: document.oncontextmenu = null does not work. P.S. I cannot have the reference of the listener function since I am not the owner of the site preventing the context menu.

    - by John Nicholson
    This below code works fine opening an alert dialog. I was wondering if it's possible to open a context menu from within a map overlay class? @Override protected boolean onTap(int index) { OverlayItem item = mOverlays.get(index); AlertDialog.Builder dialog = new AlertDialog.Builder(mContext); dialog.setTitle(item.getTitle()); dialog.setMessage(item.getSnippet()); dialog.show(); return true; }

  • How do I make a firefox extension execute script on page open/load? [migrated]

    - by Will Mc
    Thanks in advance! I am creating my first extension (A firefox extension). See below for full description of final product. I need help starting off. I have looked and studied the HelloWorld.xpi example found on Mozilla's site so I am happy to edit that to learn. In the example, when you click a menu item it runs script to display an alert message. My question is, how would I edit this extension to run the script on page load? I am guessing I need to insert some code in the browserOverlay as it loads on page load so, here is the browserOverlay.xpi from the example I am editing to learn: <?xml version="1.0"?> <?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="chrome://global/skin/" ?> <?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="chrome://xulschoolhello/skin/browserOverlay.css" ?> <!DOCTYPE overlay SYSTEM "chrome://xulschoolhello/locale/browserOverlay.dtd"> <overlay id="xulschoolhello-browser-overlay" xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://xulschoolhello/content/browserOverlay.js" /> <stringbundleset id="stringbundleset"> <stringbundle id="xulschoolhello-string-bundle" src="chrome://xulschoolhello/locale/browserOverlay.properties" /> </stringbundleset> <menubar id="main-menubar"> <menu id="xulschoolhello-hello-menu" label="&xulschoolhello.hello.label;" accesskey="&xulschoolhello.helloMenu.accesskey;" insertafter="helpMenu"> <menupopup> <menuitem id="xulschoolhello-hello-menu-item" label="&xulschoolhello.hello.label;" accesskey="&xulschoolhello.helloItem.accesskey;" oncommand="XULSchoolChrome.BrowserOverlay.sayHello(event);" /> </menupopup> </menu> </menubar> <vbox id="appmenuSecondaryPane"> <menu id="xulschoolhello-hello-menu-2" label="&xulschoolhello.hello.label;" accesskey="&xulschoolhello.helloMenu.accesskey;" insertafter="appmenu_addons"> <menupopup> <menuitem id="xulschoolhello-hello-menu-item-2" label="&xulschoolhello.hello.label;" accesskey="&xulschoolhello.helloItem.accesskey;" oncommand="XULSchoolChrome.BrowserOverlay.sayHello(event);" /> </menupopup> </menu> </vbox> </overlay> I hope you can help me. I need to know what code I should use and where I should put it... Here is the gist of my overall extension - I am creating a click to call extension. This extension will search any new page for a phone number whether just refreshed, new page, new tab etc... Each phone number when clicked will open a new tab and direct user to a custom URL. Thanks again!

  • Workarounds for supporting MVVM in the Silverlight ContextMenu service

    - by cibrax
    As I discussed in my last post, some of the Silverlight controls does not support MVVM quite well out of the box without specific customizations. The Context Menu is another control that requires customizations for enabling data binding on the menu options. There are a few things that you might want to expose as view model for a menu item, such as the Text, the associated icon or the command that needs to be executed. That view model should look like this, public class MenuItemModel { public string Name { get; set; } public ICommand Command { get; set; } public Image Icon { get; set; } public object CommandParameter { get; set; } } This is how you can modify the built-in control to support data binding on the model above, public class CustomContextMenu : ContextMenu { protected override DependencyObject GetContainerForItemOverride() { CustomMenuItem item = new CustomMenuItem(); Binding commandBinding = new Binding("Command"); item.SetBinding(CustomMenuItem.CommandProperty, commandBinding);   Binding commandParameter = new Binding("CommandParameter"); item.SetBinding(CustomMenuItem.CommandParameterProperty, commandParameter);   return item; } }   public class CustomMenuItem : MenuItem { protected override DependencyObject GetContainerForItemOverride() { CustomMenuItem item = new CustomMenuItem();   Binding commandBinding = new Binding("Command"); item.SetBinding(CustomMenuItem.CommandProperty, commandBinding);   return item; } } The change is very similar to the one I made in the TreeView for manually data binding some of the Menu item properties to the model. Once you applied that change in the control, you can define it in your XAML like this. <toolkit:ContextMenuService.ContextMenu> <e:CustomContextMenu ItemsSource="{Binding MenuItems}"> <e:CustomContextMenu.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal" > <ContentPresenter Margin="0 0 4 0" Content="{Binding Icon}" /> <TextBlock Margin="0" Text="{Binding Name, Mode=OneWay}" FontSize="12"/> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </e:CustomContextMenu.ItemTemplate> </e:CustomContextMenu> </toolkit:ContextMenuService.ContextMenu> The property MenuItems associated to the “ItemsSource” in the parent model just returns a list of supported options (menu items) in the context menu. this.menuItems = new MenuItemModel[] { new MenuItemModel { Name = "My Command", Command = new RelayCommand(OnCommandClick), Icon = ImageLoader.GetIcon("command.png") } }; The only problem I found so far with this approach is that the context menu service does not support a HierarchicalDataTemplate in case you want to have an hierarchy in the context menu (MenuItem –> Sub menu items), but I guess we can live without that.

  • Is there a keyboard shortcut to open a mounted TrueCrypt container?

    - by Lernkurve
    Problem I would like to open a mounted TrueCrypt container with a keyboard shortcut. Currently, I'm opening it by double-clicking the volume. See screenshot above. Instead of using the mouse, I'd like to use the keyboard. But there seems to be no way. Versions TrueCrypt 7.1.a Windows 7 64bit Failed attempts When you right-click on the volume, there is a "Open" command in the context menu. So, I've tried to open the context menu with the context menu key on the Windows keyboard. But strangely enough that does not open the context menu. I've also tried Shift+F10 to open the context menu, but that does not work either. There is no "Open" command in the menues (Volume, System, Favorites, Tools, Settings, Help), so I can't press for instance Alt+V to open a menu and go from there. I tried to use AutoHotKey to send a double-click command, but that does not work because the double-click is sent to the current mouse position and not the current selection, which would my selected TrueCrypt volume. There would be a HotKeys dialog in menu Settings Hot Keys... But there seems to be no way, to add or configure a hotkey for "Open". Workaround My current workaround is to tick "Open Explorer window for successfully mounted volume" in the menu Settings Preferences...

  • MFC Combo-Box Control is not showing the full list of items when I click the drop-down menu...

    - by shan23
    I'm coding an app in MSVS 2008, which has a ComboBox control which I initialize thru the code as below: static char* OptionString[4] = {"Opt1", "Opt2", "Opt3", "Opt4"}; BOOL CMyAppDlg::OnInitDialog() { CDialog::OnInitDialog(); // Set the icon for this dialog. The framework does this automatically // when the application's main window is not a dialog SetIcon(m_hIcon, TRUE); // Set big icon SetIcon(m_hIcon, FALSE); // Set small icon // TODO: Add extra initialization here m_Option.AddString(OptionString[0]); m_Option.AddString(OptionString[1]); m_Option.AddString(OptionString[2]); m_Option.AddString(OptionString[3]); m_Option.SetCurSel(0); return TRUE; // return TRUE unless you set the focus to a control } Now, when I build the app and click the down-arrow, the drop-down box shows the first option ONLY(since I've selected that thru my code). But, if i press down-arrow key on keyboard, it cycles thru the options in the order I've inserted, but never does it show more than 1 option in the box. So, In case an user wants to select option3, he has to cycle through options 1 and 2 !! Though once I select any option using the keyboard, the appropriate event handlers are fired, I'm miffed by this behaviour , as is understandable. I'm listing the properties of the combo-box control as well - only the properties that are true(rest are set to false): Type - Dropdown Vertical Scrollbar Visible Tabstop This has bugged me for weeks now. Can anyone pls enlighten me ?

  • Ext JS 4: Show all columns in Ext.grid.Panel as custom option

    - by MacGyver
    Is there a function that can be called on an Ext.grid.Panel in ExtJS that will make all columns visible, if some of them are hidden by default? Whenever an end-user needs to show the hidden columns, they need to click each column. Below, I have some code to add a custom menu option when you select a field header. I'd like to execute this function so all columns show. As an example below, I have 'Project ID' and 'User Created' hidden by default. By choosing 'Select All Columns' would turn those columns on, so they show in the list view. listeners: { ... }, afterrender: function() { var menu = this.headerCt.getMenu(); menu.add([{ text: 'Select All Columns', handler: function() { var columnDataIndex = menu.activeHeader.dataIndex; alert('custom item for column "'+columnDataIndex+'" was pressed'); } }]); } } }); =========================== Answer (with code): Here's what I decided to do based on Eric's code below, since hiding all columns was silly. afterrender: function () { var menu = this.headerCt.getMenu(); menu.add([{ text: 'Show All Columns', handler: function () { var columnDataIndex = menu.activeHeader.dataIndex; Ext.each(grid.headerCt.getGridColumns(), function (column) { column.show(); }); } }]); menu.add([{ text: 'Hide All Columns Except This', handler: function () { var columnDataIndex = menu.activeHeader.dataIndex; alert(columnDataIndex); Ext.each(grid.headerCt.getGridColumns(), function (column) { if (column.dataIndex != columnDataIndex) { column.hide(); } }); } }]); }
