  • Replying to mail with attachments using Zend framework..

    Hi guys I'm integrating basic email capabilities in my application and I would like to be able to incorporate a decent reply / forward email facility. I have it covered with sending my own uploaded attachments but what about in situations where I recieve a message in my inbox with attachments and wish to forward that same message along with the attachments already attached to it as well as be able to choose which of the attachments to include and which not to.

  • How to avoid index.php in Zend Framework?

    I'm using the Zend Router and so things like (/ and /index.php) or (/about and /index.php/about) ends up as the same here. However, /index.php/whatever should not exist as it is the exactly same resource as /whatever so it doesn't make a sense the duplication. How do I avoid this? Even http://zendframework.com/manual/en/zend.controller.router.html and http://zendframework.com/index.php/manual/en/zend.controller.router.html both exists. It doesn't make any sense at all...

    I am looking forward to move all the logic (which is implemented as manipulating Entity Framework 4 objects) to a server side. It looks going to be simple (thanks to the application structure) and beneficial (as all I have is one oldy laptop as a client and one tough server which runs SQL Server 2008, and building a separate service for the logic can just introduce more latency if compared to doing it inside the database). So how do I correctly use Entities Framework inside a CLR stored procedure and make it using a host-server-provided SqlContext?

I would like to secure couple of files to restrict access to certain pages but my attempts so far are unsuccessful. I do not want to use Zend Auth as it is a very small web site doing simple stuff.   • holding session state with zend framework in iframe?

    I have a php site optimized for iphone, its currently running inside of an iframe in a uiwebview objective c wrapper. Everything currently works except for the sessions inside of the iframe, Im assuming this is due to the cross domain issue with iframes and sessions? my solution is to save the sessions to the db. Is this the best solution? Will this even solve my problem? should I use memcache instead? are there any good tutorials for doing this? I havent been able to find an easy to implement solution for saving the session data, im a bit confused by the bootstrap.php and I keep getting this error when I try to add session saving: 'no adapter found for Zend_Session_SaveHandler_DbTable' any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

  • Zend Framework Form Element Validators - validate a field even if not required

    Is there a way to get a validator to fire even if the form element isn't required? I have a form where I want to validate the contents of a texbox (make sure not empty) if the value of another form element, which is a couple of radio buttons, has a specific value selected. Right now I'm doing this by overriding the isValid() function of my form class and it works great. However, I'd like to move this to either its on validator or use the Callback validator. I want to start using Visual Studio 2010, but the .NET Framework 4.0 isn't very well supported by web hosting companies just yet. It seems to make sense to stick with the .NET Framework 3.5 for now. If I open my projects in Visual Studio 2010 and leave them targeted at the .NET Framework 3.5, am I going to have problems?

  • Getting the last User ID in Zend Framework

    Using MySQL query browser, I manually made a table called users and input some date in the fields. I set the primary key to id and set it to auto increment. There are 3 rows, the highest id is 3. I then made the following class in the method directory to call upon the data in the table etc. class Application_Model_DbTable_User extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'user'; public function getLatestUserId() { $id = $this->getAdapter()->lastInsertId(); return $id; } } In the controller I do the following which gets the value generated by the method and lets the view access it: $usersDbModel = new Application_Model_DbTable_User(); $lastUserId = $usersDbModel->getLatestUserId(); $this->view->lastUserId = $lastUserId; In the view I then echo it to display it to the user: echo $this->lastUserId; However, even though my last id in the users table is 3. It displays 0. I have also tried: public function getLatestUserId() { $sql = 'SELECT max(id) FROM user'; $query = $this->query($sql); $result = $query->fetchAll(); return $result; } But this just throws out a server error. What have I done wrong? Am I missing something? Is there another way of doing this?
