  • Outputting a bar chart to an iPhone application?

    Right, I really want to output a Bar Graph to an Obj-C iPhone application - now I may be missing a vital SDK class or something; but right now my solution is to embed a WebView and inside that have a JQuery/Flot based graph - not totally ideal I know! Just wondering if anybody has any other creative solutions or whether a WebView/AJAX solution is the way to go? (For the record; my data source will be figures returned from an external source - i.e downloaded from the internet. So I was even toying with having a PHP Proxy/script do all the work on that, return the figures AND a graph to the application - but then I risk placing extra strain on the server!)

What I would like to know is that how will we find all the nodes that are two steps away from a particular node. Lets suppose I have a node numbered '1' and i would like to know all the nodes that are two steps away from it. I have tried(I am assuming the table name as graph) SELECT FROMNODE FROM GRAPH WHERE TONODE=1 (this is to select all the nodes that are connected to node 1, but I couldn't figure out how would I find all the nodes that are two steps away from node 1??)

  • Calculating Divergent Paths on Subtending Rings

    I need to calculate two paths from A to B in the following graph, with the constraint that the paths can't share any edges: hmm, okay, can't post images, here's a link. All edges have positive weights; for this example I think we can assume that they're equal. My naive approach is to use Djikstra's algorithm to calculate the first path, shown in the second graph in the above image. Then I remove the edges from the graph and try to calculate the second path, which fails. Is there a variation of Djikstra, Bellman-Ford (or anything else) that will calculate the paths shown in the third diagram above? (Without special knowledge and removal of the subtending link, is what I mean)

    Just came across FlockDB graph database. Details at github /flockDB. Twitter claims it uses FlockDB for the following: Twitter runs FlockDB on a large cluster of machines. we use it to store social graphs (who follows whom, who blocks whom) and secondary indices at twitter. At first glance, setup and trying it doesn't look straight forward. Have anyone already used it / setup this? If so, please answer the following general queries. What kind of applications is it better suited for? (Twitter claims it is simple and very rough, it remains to see what it meant though) How is FlockDB better than other graph db / noSQL db. Have you setup FlockDB, used it for a application? Early advices any? Note: I am evaluating the FlockDB and other graph databases mainly for learning them. Perhaps, I will build an application for that.

FQL could be an alternative (from table like and subqueries for friend and stream), but FQL seems so buggy in my tests I don't feel comfortable using it in a productive system. Is there anyway to achieve my target using the GRAPH api?

Then I tried adding everything to the default fetch group, but that just generated warnings about GAE not supporting joins. I tried setting the fetch plan's max fetch depth to -1, but that didn't do it. Following Facebook's documentation I tried using the required_permissions argument to require_login.   • Creating line graph/chart in vb.net (VS2008)

    I am reluctant to ask this question because a lot of similar questions have been asked, but after reading through them I am not getting the info I need. I am trying to follow this tutorial and I think it is going to work ok, but I have a lot of data to put in and the tutorial has the reader create the chart data points manually. I want the data points to be generated from an integer which can change while the program is running (thus the chart size needs to change) and the y coordinate of the data points needs to come from an array. I have attempted to "bind" the data but I am messing it up somehow and I don't even think that is the best way to do what I want. Also, I do not have to use the methods suggested in the tutorial, I am looking for the highest quality most efficient way to generate a line graph in vb.net (VS2008) based on the criteria I previously mentioned.

    Ok, so I would like to make a GLR parser generator. I know there exist such programs better than what I will probably make, but I am doing this for fun/learning so that's not important. I have been reading about GLR parsing and I think I have a decent high level understanding of it now. But now it's time to get down to business. The graph-structured stack (GSS) is the key data structure for use in GLR parsers. Conceptually I know how GSS works, but none of the sources I looked at so far explain how to implement GSS. I don't even have an authoritative list of operations to support. Can someone point me to some good sample code/tutorial for GSS? Google didn't help so far. I hope this question is not too vague.

    My application is crashing when one of the views is purged from memory because of low-memory condition. At least this is what I understand from the crashlog. So I don't believe this is caused by the application. I guess that when the phone is not restarted for some time there are applications running in the background and when using Facebook SDK the memory becomes a problem and the system tries to recover the memory from random applications, including my application. My question is, how can I prevent this crash from happening? How should I handle unloadViewForced on a view controller to make the app more robust in low-memory conditions? And lastly, am I right that this crashlog suggests the crash occurred because the system tried to free memory and my application didn't handle it properly? Any help greatly appreciated.

  • auth.getSession not working

    hi all, i am having troubles with calling auth.getSession in my proxy. It is being called from a iPhone connect client. When the proxy URL is invocated from the iphone, FB returns a 100 invalid parameter error to the proxy. However the 2nd attempt from iPhone yields success. Both times the proxy is doing the same code, only the auth_token is different. Doing a good search, shows that this is a problematic method. I have tried everything in code and even called in a iPhone expert to see if the problem is on the iPhone client. I have concentrated my efforts on the java api being the problem, however i believe the problem lies else where.     Hello All, I'm trying to familiarize myself with Facebook's new Graph API and so far I can fetch and write some data pretty easily. Something I'm struggling to find decent documentation on is uploading images to an album. According to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api#publishing you need to supply the message argument. But I'm not quite sure how to construct it.     Hello, Currently I have a a text file with data at the first row is formatted as follow: time;wave height 1;wave height 2;....... I have column until wave height 19 and rows total 4000 rows. Data in the first column is time in second. From 2nd column onwards, it is wave height elevation which is in meter. I would like to plot the follow: ![alt text][1] on the x axis is time. the left hand side is wave height in m and on the right hand side is the distance between each measurment in a model. inside the graph there are 4 plots, each plot is repersent waveight 1, wave height 2etc at a defined distance related to the right hand side y asix. How would you code this in matlab? I am a begineer, please if you could, it will be very useful to give a bit more explain in your answer! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
